 GENERAL: PROVIDE DRAWING NOTE INDICATING, "FIRE
 PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING
 DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION ACTIVITIES. IN THE EVENT A
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN
 4-HOURS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD, THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PLACED UNDER A FIRE WATCH. ALL FIRE WATCH REQUESTS MUST
 BE SUBMITTED BY EMAIL ([email protected]) OR IN WRITING
 (FAX: 561-804-4774) AND APPROVED BY THE OFFICE OF THE
 FIRE MARSHAL LOCATED AT 500 NORTH DIXIE HIGHWAY."
  
 GENERAL: PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW
 EMERGENCY RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE
 BUILDING DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE
 ORDERED FROM WWW.KNOXBOX.COM.
  
 SHEET 1: PLAN INDICATES THIS TO BE A BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCY; HOWEVER, THIS IS AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY. PER
 THE LIFE SAFETY CODE, "ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY IS DEFINED AS
 AN OCCUPANCY USED FOR A GATHERING OF 50 OR MORE PERSONS
 FOR DELIBERATION, WORSHIP, ENTERTAINMENT, EATING,
 DRINKING, AMUSEMENT, AWAITING TRANSPORTATION, OR
 SIMILAR USES. BUSINESS OCCUPANCY IS DEFINED AS AN
 OCCUPANCY USED FOR THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS OTHER
 THAN MERCANTILE."
  
 SHEET 1: INDICATE THE DOOR HARDWARE ON THE MAIN
 ENTRANCE/EXIT DOORS. FOR ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCIES WITH AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD OF 100 OR MORE PERSONS, PANIC HARDWARE
 SHALL BE PROVIDED ON DOORS TO RELEASE THE LOCK/LATCH.
 NO OTHER LOCKS OR LATCHES ARE PERMITTED THAT WOULD NOT
 BE RELEASED BY THE PANIC HARDWARE. AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR
 PANIC HARDWARE, THE MAIN ENTRANCE (ONLY) IS PERMITTED
 TO HAVE AN INTERIOR KEYED DOOR LOCK (AND NO LATCH) WITH
 A READILY VISIBLE SIGN STATING THIS DOOR TO REMAIN
 UNLOCKED WHEN THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. SIGN LETTERS
 SHALL BE AT LEAST 1 INCH IN HEIGHT. A THUMB TURN STYLE
 LOCK IS NOT PERMITTED TO BE SUBSTITUTED FOR A KEYED
 LOCK.
  
 SHEET 2 AND SHEET E2.1: SHEET 2 INDICATES AN EXTERIOR
 STOREFRONT DOOR TO BE PERMANENTLY SECURED; HOWEVER,
 SHEET E2.1 INDICATES AN EXIT SIGN AT THIS DOOR.
 COORDINATE. IF THIS DOOR IS NOT AN EXIT DOOR, PROVIDE
 PERMANENT OBVIOUS SIGNAGE ON DOOR INDICATING "NOT AN
 EXIT."
  
 GENERAL: PROVIDE TACTILE SIGNAGE AT ALL REQUIRED EXIT
 DOORS WITH EXIT SIGNS.
  
 GENERAL: EVERY ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY ROOM NOT HAVING FIXED
 SEATS SHALL HAVE THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE ROOM POSTED
 IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE NEAR THE MAIN EXIT FROM THE
 ROOM. SIGNS SHALL BE DURABLE AND INDICATE THE NUMBER OF
 OCCUPANTS PERMITTED FOR EACH ROOM.
  
 SHEET E2.1: NO EXIT SIGN PROVIDED FOR REAR EXIT DOOR.
  
 SHEET M2.1 - DUCT-SOX: THE FLAME SPREAD AND SMOKE
 DEVELOPMENT OF FLEXIBLE AIR DUCTS NEED TO BE LISTED AND
 LABELED AS CLASS 0 OR CLASS 1 PER UL 181. CLASS 0 - AIR
 DUCTS AND AIR CONNECTORS HAVING SURFACE BURNING
 CHARACTERISTICS OF ZERO. CLASS 1 - AIR DUCTS AND AIR
 CONNECTORS HAVING A FLAME-SPREAD INDEX OF NOT OVER 25
 WITHOUT EVIDENCE OF CONTINUED PROGRESSIVE COMBUSTION
 AND A SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX OF NOT OVER 50.
  
 SHEET M2.1: VERIFY EXISTING 10 TON AND 7.5 TON UNITS
 ARE EQUIPPED WITH DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS.
  
 NOTE: SEPARATE PLANS AND PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE
