 3) SHEET A-0.0 & A-2.2 THE OCCUPANT LOAD COUNT IS TAKEN
 AS 50 SQ FT PER PERSON IS WITH EQUIPMENT, BOTH FIRE AND
 THE BUIULDING OFFICIAL CONCUR THAT THE MATS COULD BE
 REMOVED AND A HIGH OCCUPANT LOAD BE ACHIEVED SUCH AS
 LINE DANCING OR SOME SIMILAR ACTIVITY. FOR THE PURPOSE
 OF THIS REVIEW THE 15 SQ FT WILL BE USED FOR THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD COUNT. PLEASE CORRECT THE OCCUPANT LOAD
 AND REQUIRED EGRESS WIDTHS FOR THE SECOND FLOOR.
  
 4)2010 EXST BLDG CODE 912.4.1 MEANS OF EGRESS FOR
 CHANGE TO HIGHER HAZARD CATEGORY.
 WHEN A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS MADE TO A
 HIGHER HAZARD CATEGORY (LOWER NUMBER) AS SHOWN IN TABLE
 912.4, THE MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF CHAPTER 10 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, BUILDING.
  
 4A) THE MONUMENTAL STAIR IS NOW BEING ASKED TO BE A
 PART OF A MEANS OF EGRESS. THE TENANT SPACE IS NOW A
 (A-3 OCCUPANCY) WHERE IT WAS NOT UNDER THE MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCY. THE EXCEPTION FOR MONUMENTAL STAIRS IS FOUND
 UNDER 708.2 EXCEPTION # 7, THE MONUMENTAL STAIR NOT
 REQUIRED TO BE PART OF THE MEANS OF EGRESS BECAUSE
 THERE WERE 2 VERTICAL EXITS TO THE 2ND FLOOR.
  
 THE 2010 FBC-B SECTION 1028.2 (ASSEMBLY REQUIRES 50 %
 OF THE TOTAL OCCUPANTS TO EXIT THROUGH THE MAIN
 ENTRANCE/ EXIT. ONE QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU GET THE
 OCCUPANTS TO THE SECOND FLOOR? THE ELEVATOR AND THE
 MONUMENTAL STAIR ARE THE ONLY WAY TO THE 2ND FLOOR.
  
 1028.3 ASSEMBLY OTHER EXITS. EACH LEVEL OF AN ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY SHALL HAVE ACCESS TO A MAIN EXIT AND SHALL BE
 PROVIDED WITH ADDITIONAL EXITS OF SUFFICIENT WIDTH TO
 ACCOMMODATE ONE-HALF OF THE TOTAL OCCUPANT LOAD SERVED
 BY THAT LEVEL. SUCH ADDITIONAL EXITS SHALL BE LOCATED
 AS FAR FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE/EXIT AS PRACTICABLE. SUCH
 EXITS SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE FROM A CROSS AISLE OR A SIDE
 AISLE. PLEASE PROVIDE CODE COMPLIANCE.
  
 ANOTHER ISSUE THAT IS BORDER LINE IS THE OCCUPANT LOAD
 ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND A THIRD REQUIRED STAIRWAY 2010
 FBC-B TABLE 1021.1 IF 501 OCCUPANTS ARE LOCATED ON THE
 2ND FLOOR THEN A THIRD REQUIRED EXIT STAIR WILL ALSO BE
 REQUIRED. FBC-B 708.2 EXCEPTION 7.2 STATES THAT IT "IS
 NOT PART OF A MEANS OF EGRESS SYSTEM.
  
 THE SECOND AREA TO CONSIDER IS IN SECTION FBC-B 1028.2
 THE 50% OF THE TOTAL OCCUPANTS TO EXIT THROUGH THE MAIN
 ENTRANCE/ EXIT. HOW WOULD YOU GET THE 50 % OCCUPANT
 LOAD BACK THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE IF YOU ARE
 CONSIDERING THE BACK ENTRANCE AS ONE OF TWO MAIN
 ENTRANCES. THE SECOND STORY NORTH EXIT TAKES YOU INTO
 AN EXIT PASSAGE WAY THEN YOU TAKE A VERTICAL EXIT AND
 OUT THE EXIT DOORWAY OR THE EXIT DISCHARGE, IT DOES NOT
 TAKE YOU BACK TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE EXIT.
  
 PLEASE REVIEW SECTION FBC-B 1027.1 EXCEPTION# 1, IF THE
 MONUMENTAL STAIR WERE TO BE ENCLOSED, IT DOES NOT NEED
 TO LEAD TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING ONLY BE A 1
 HOUR RATED SHAFT WITH OPENING PROTECTIVES 1ST AND 2ND
 FLOOR, THIS WOULD SOLVE YOUR ISSUES WITH HOW YOU ARE
 GETTING OCCUPANTS TO THE 2ND FLOOR AND HOW 50 % OF THE
 OCCUPANTS ARE TRAVELING BACK TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE/
 EXIT, FOR EITHER ENTRANCE.
  
 4B) ANOTHER ISSUE THAT IS BORDER LINE IS THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND A THIRD REQUIRED STAIRWAY
 2010 FBC-B TABLE 1021.1 IF 501 OCCUPANTS ARE LOCATED ON
 THE 2ND FLOOR THEN A THIRD REQUIRED EXIT STAIR WILL
 ALSO BE REQUIRED. PLEASE REVIEW THE OCCUPANT LOAD FOR
 THE AEROBICS ROOM THE OCCUPANT LOADS ARE TO BE
 CONSIDERED AT 15 NET, FBC-B 1004.1.1.
  
 5) THE PLANS DO PROVIDE A SECTION THROUGH THE
 MONUMENTAL STAIRWAY,INDICATING THE USE OF A DRAFT
 CURTAIN BUT FAIL TO INDICATE THE USE OF THE FIRE
 SPRINKLER LOCATION. NOT FOUND ON THE ARCHITECTURAL NOR
 THE LEVEL 1 FIRE SPRINKLER PLAN. 2010 FBC-B 708.2
 EXCEPTION 2.1. WHERE THE AREA OF THE FLOOR OPENING
 BETWEEN STORIES DOES NOT EXCEED TWICE THE HORIZONTAL
 PROJECTED AREA OF THE ESCALATOR OR STAIRWAY AND THE
 OPENING IS PROTECTED BY A DRAFT CURTAIN AND CLOSELY
 SPACED SPRINKLERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13. IN OTHER
 THAN GROUPS B AND M, THIS APPLICATION IS LIMITED TO
 OPENINGS THAT DO NOT CONNECT MORE THAN FOUR STORIES.
 PLEASE NOTE THIS EXCEPTION IS ONLY FOR BUSINESS &
 MERCANTILE, NOT FOR AN ASSEMBLY USE, PLEASE PROVIDE HOW
 THIS CODE VIOLATION WILL BE COMPLIED.
  
 6) THE LIFE SAFETY PLANS HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS SINCE
 THE MONUMETAL STAIRS CAN NOT BE USED FOR EXITING AND
 SINCE THE 2ND FLOOR OCCUPANT LOAD IS AT 500 OCCUPANTS,
 NEITHER THE STAIRS NOR THE DOORS AT THE BACK OF THE
 BUILDING WILL HANDLE THESE OCCUPANT LOADS. THE DESIGNER
 IS TAKING A 42 INCH DOOR AND STATING 200 OCCUPANTS CAN
 EXIT THIS OPENING, WHEREAS THE TWO VERTICAL EXITS BACK
 OF 2ND FLOOR WILL ONLY HANDLE 400 OCCUPANTS. PLEASE
 PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY PLAN SHOWING THE EGRESS BACK OF
 HOUSE FOR THIS TENANT AND THE ADJACENT TENANTS AND
 PROVIDING A EGRESS PLAN TO THE PUBLIC WAY. PLEASE NOTE
 THE EGRESS PLAN ALSO HANDLES AN ACCESSIBLE RAMP, STAIRS
 OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING, IT ALSO HAS TO TAKE INTO
 ACCOUNT THE ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCIES ON EITHER SIDE OF THIS
 NEWLY FORMED A3 OCCUPANCY.
  
 THE SAME REQUEST FOR A LIFE SAFETY PLAN FOR THE
 LANDLORD PERMIT FOR THIS SPACE HAS BEEN REQUESTED, THIS
 PERMIT WILL NOT BE ISSUED NOR THE LANDLORD TENANT
 IMPROVEMENT PERMIT UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS CLEARED UP. THE
 BACK OF HOUSE CORRIDORS ARE 1 HOUR EXIT PASSAGEWAYS,
 THAT HAVE TO BE TREATED AS SUCH AND THE EXITING HAS TO
 WORK FOR THE SHARED EXIT PASSAGE WAY.
  
 7-9) COMPLIED.
 10) STRUCTURAL WORK COMMENT # 10 TO BE COMPLETED UNDER
 THE LANDLORD PERMIT# 13030406.
  
 10A) IS THE EXTERIOR STAIR WORK FOUND ON S-1 AND
 EXTERIOR CANOPY WORK FOUND ON S-2 STILL PART OF THIS
 PERMIT OR PART OF THE LANDLORD PERMIT.
  
 11) PLANS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE CITY PLACE APPROVAL WITH
 THEIR STAMP.
  
 12) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. THE ACTUAL
 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT
