 GENERAL: ALL DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL
 HAVE "NO SMOKING" SIGNS POSTED.
  
 GENERAL: FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE
 DURING DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION ACTIVITIES. IN THE
 EVENT A FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR
 MORE THAN 4-HOURS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD, THE BUILDING
 SHALL BE PLACED UNDER A FIRE WATCH. ALL FIRE WATCH
 REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING AND APPROVED BY
 THE OFFICE OF THE FIRE MARSHAL LOCATED AT 500 NORTH
 DIXIE HIGHWAY.
  
 GENERAL: PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS SHALL HAVE A
 MINIMUM RATING OF 2A:10BC AND SHALL BE TAGGED BY A
 LICENSED FIRE EXTINGUISHER COMPANY. TRAVEL DISTANCE TO
 EXTINGUISHERS SHALL NOT EXCEED 75 FEET.
  
 GENERAL: INDICATE THE MAXIMUM INCARCERATION TIME FOR
 INDIVIDUALS LOCATED IN THE HOLDING CELLS.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: A DEAD-END CORRIDOR OF 85 FEET IS CREATED
 WHEN MEASURED FROM THE DOOR OF TELEPHONE #415 TO THE
 END OF HALLWAY #412.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: A COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL OF 112 FEET IS
 CREATED WHEN MEASURED FROM MEN'S LOCKER #407 TO STAIR
 #A-2.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: WHERE EXIT ACCESS FROM ONE OCCUPANCY TYPE
 TRAVERSES ANOTHER OCCUPANCY TYPE, THE MULTIPLE
 OCCUPANCY SHALL BE TREATED AS A MIXED OCCUPANCY (NFPA
 101 - 6.1.14.1.2). THIS FLOOR IS FUNCTIONING AS A
 NON-SEPARATED MIXED USE (BUSINESS, STORAGE AND
 ASSEMBLY) OCCUPANCY. PROVIDE AN OCCUPANT LOAD BREAKDOWN
 FOR EACH ROOM. THE MOST STRINGENT LIFE SAFETY
 REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH OCCUPANCY TYPE WILL APPLY. FOR
 EXAMPLE, ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCIES WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD
 EXCEEDING 100 PERSONS SHALL HAVE PANIC OR FIRE EXIT
 HARDWARE ON EXIT AND EXIT ACCESS DOORS.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: STAIR DOOR A-1 APPEARS TO BE LOCKED FROM
 THE STAIR SIDE, WHICH IS ACCEPTABLE AS LONG AS STAIR
 RE-ENTRY IS PROVIDED FOR ALL STAIR DOORS ON THE 5TH
 FLOOR. STAIR SIGNAGE INDICATING WHICH FLOORS HAVE
 STAIRWELL RE-ENTRY TO BE PROVIDED.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: TRAINING ROOM #405 - DOORS SHALL SWING IN
 THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL WHEN SERVING AN OCCUPANT LOAD
 OF 50 OR MORE PERSONS.
  
 SHEET E3.1.1: CARD READERS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE
 EXIT STAIR ENCLOSURE PER NFPA 101 SECTION 7.1.3.2.1(9).

 CELLS. PROVIDE A STROBE DEVICE IN THE SUPPLIES ROOM.
  
 FIRE SPRINKLER: FOR ISSUANCE OF A GENERAL BUILDING
 PERMIT, SECTION 105.3.1.2(2) OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE REQUIRES SEALED FIRE PROTECTION CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS FOR THE DESIGN OR ALTERATION OF 50 OR MORE
 AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLERS. NO SPRINKLER PLANS
 SUBMITTED. PER FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE SECTION
 61G15-32.004, FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS
 SHALL INCLUDE THE POINT OF SERVICE FOR THE WATER
 SUPPLY, A LIST OF APPLICABLE NFPA STANDARDS APPLICABLE
 TO THE PROJECT, CLASSIFICATION OF HAZARD OCCUPANCY FOR
 EACH ROOM OR AREA, SUPPRESSION SYSTEM TYPE, DESIGN
 DENSITIES, WATER SUPPLY DATA (FIRE PUMP DATA, HYDRANT
 FLOW TEST DATA) AND ANY PERFORMANCE BASED INFORMATION
 SUCH AS PRE-ENGINEERED SYSTEMS.
