 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2010 FBC-B 439.2 WALLS SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS IN
 THE SAME BUILDING, WALLS SEPARATING SLEEPING UNITS IN
 THE SAME BUILDING AND WALLS SEPARATING DWELLING OR
 SLEEPING UNITS FROM OTHER OCCUPANCIES CONTIGUOUS TO
 THEM IN THE SAME BUILDING SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED AS FIRE
 PARTITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 709.
  
 2) 2010 FBC-B TABLE 508.4 REQUIRED SEPERATION OF
 OCCUPANCIES BETWEEN RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANCIES AND STORAGE
 OCCUPANCIES REQUIRES 2 HOUR FOR NON-SPRINKLERED
 BUILDINGS.
  
 3) 709.4 CONTINUITY. FIRE PARTITIONS SHALL EXTEND FROM
 THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION OR FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY
 BELOW TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FLOOR OR ROOF SHEATHING,
 SLAB OR DECK ABOVE OR TO THE FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED
 FLOOR/CEILING OR ROOF/CEILING ASSEMBLY ABOVE, AND SHALL
 BE SECURELY ATTACHED THERETO. IF THE PARTITIONS ARE NOT
 CONTINUOUS TO THE SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB, AND WHERE
 CONSTRUCTED OF COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION, THE SPACE
 BETWEEN THE CEILING AND THE SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB
 ABOVE SHALL BE FIREBLOCKED OR DRAFTSTOPPED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 717.2 AND 717.3 AT THE
 PARTITION LINE. THE SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
 PROTECTED TO AFFORD THE REQUIRED FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING
 OF THE WALL SUPPORTED, EXCEPT FOR WALLS SEPARATING
 TENANT SPACES IN COVERED MALL BUILDINGS, WALLS
 SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS, WALLS SEPARATING SLEEPING
 UNITS AND CORRIDOR WALLS, IN BUILDINGS OF TYPE IIB,
 IIIB AND VB CONSTRUCTION.
  
 4) 709.4.1 ROOF CONSTRUCTION. WHEN THE FIRE PARTITION
 IS CONTINUOUS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING IN
 OCCUPANCIES OF GROUPS R-1, R-2 AND R-3 AS APPLICABLE IN
 SECTION 101.2, IN TYPE III, IV AND V CONSTRUCTION THE
 FOLLOWING SHALL BE PROVIDED:
 709.4.1.1 ROOF SHEATHING.
  
 THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK SHALL BE OF APPROVED
 NONCOMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS OR OF FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED
 WOOD, FOR A DISTANCE OF 4 FEET (1220 MM); OR
 709.4.1.2 ROOF PROTECTION.
  
 THE ROOF SHALL BE PROTECTED WITH 0.625-INCH (15.88 MM)
 TYPE X GYPSUM BOARD DIRECTLY BENEATH THE UNDERSIDE OF
 THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK, SUPPORTED BY A MINIMUM OF
 NOMINAL 2-INCH (51 MM) LEDGERS ATTACHED TO THE SIDES OF
 THE ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS, FOR A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 4
 FEET (1220 MM).
  
 5) PLANS ARE NOT INDICATED THEY ARE DESIGNED BY A
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL. 2010 WEST PALM BEACH
 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 107.1 GENERAL. SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS
 CONSISTING OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, STATEMENT OF
 SPECIAL INSPECTIONS, GEOTECHNICAL REPORT AND OTHER DATA
 SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN TWO OR MORE SETS WITH EACH PERMIT
 APPLICATION. THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 PREPARED BY A REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL WHERE
 REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 471, FLORIDA STATUTES& 61G15
 FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OR CHAPTER 481, FLORIDA
 STATUTES& 61G1 FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE. WHERE
 SPECIAL CONDITIONS EXIST, THE BUILDING OFFICIAL IS
 AUTHORIZED TO REQUIRE ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 TO BE PREPARED BY A REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
 ELECTRONIC MEDIA DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED WHEN
 REQUIRED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, AND MAY REQUIRE ONLY
 ONE SET OF SUBMITTALS.
