 104.11.THE COVERSHEET A1.0 UNDER THE BUILDING DESIGN
 LIST THIS BUILDING AS A TYPE V-B UNSPRINKLERED. BOTH
 THE BUILDING AND FIRE CODES REQUIRE ALL R TYPE
 OCCUPANCIES TO BE FIRE SPRINKLERED WIT THE EXCEPTION OF
 ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS THAT ARE REVIEWED UNDER
 THE 2007 FBC-R RESIDENTIAL CODE.
 2007-09 FBC-B 903.2.7 REQUIRES FIRE SPRINKLERS. WE DO
 UNDERSTAND THERE WAS TALK WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
 ABOUT FIRE SPRINKLER REQUIREMENTS BUT NO OTHER
 INFORMATION HAS BEEN PROVIDED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS
 TO THE RESULTS OF SUCH MEETING. CHIEF DANIELS HAS
 ENTERED IN THE PLAN REVIEW FIELD RESULTS THAT A MEETING
 WITH THE DESIGNER HAD OCCURED WHICH HAS KEPT THE PERMIT
 ALIVE SINCE THE LAST LISTED ACTIVITY. THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD ON THE COMMENT RESPONCE SHEET INDICATES THEY ARE
 GOING WITH A PERFORMANCE BASED METHOD IN LEIU OF FIRE
 SPRINKLERS. THE COVER SHEET DOES NOT INDICATE A
 PREFORMANCE BASED METHOD VERSES FIRE SPINKLERS. IF THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD IS PROPOSING TO USE ALTERNATE
 MATERIALS, DESIGN AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION (104.11
 WEST PALM BEACH ADMINISTRATIVE CODE) A LETTER TO THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL REQUESTING THE USE OF ALTERNANTE
 MATERIAL AND METHODS TO BE SUBSTITUTED. WHEN ALTERNANTE
 LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS ARE DESIGNED, THE SFPE ENGINEERING
