 2007 EXISTING BUILDING CODE 901.3 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION. WHERE THE OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION OF A
 BUILDING CHANGES, THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 902
 THROUGH 912 SHALL APPLY. THIS INCLUDES A CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION WITHIN A GROUP AS WELL AS A
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION FROM ONE GROUP TO A
 DIFFERENT GROUP.
  
 901.4 CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY REQUIRED. A CERTIFICATE
 OF OCCUPANCY SHALL BE ISSUED WHERE A CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY OCCURS THAT RESULTS IN BEING CLASSIFIED AS A
 DIFFERENT OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AS DETERMINED BY THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
  
 903.1 GENERAL. BUILDING ELEMENTS AND MATERIALS IN
 PORTIONS OF BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 912.
  
 1ST REVIEW
 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) EXISTING BUILDING CODE 905.1 GENERAL. MEANS OF
 EGRESS IN PORTIONS OF BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 912.
 912.1.4 ACCESSIBILITY. ALL BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION 912.8.912.8 ACCESSIBILITY. EXISTING BUILDINGS
 OR PORTIONS THEREOF THAT UNDERGO A CHANGE OF GROUP OR
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH CHAPTER 11
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 11-4.1.62(2) 2)ALTERATIONS TO AN AREA CONTAINING A
 PRIMARY FUNCTION.THIS SECTION INDICATES THAT 20% OR AN
 ADDITIONAL $9,000.00 DOLLARS SHALL BE APPLIED TO MAKING
 THIS STRUCTURE CODE COMPLIANT TO THE ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE. THE DUTY TO PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE FEATURES IS TO BE
 CONSIDERED IN THIS ORDER.
 (1) WHEN THE COST OF ALTERATIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE
 PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION,
 THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE
 EXTENT THAT IT CAN BE MADE ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT INCURRING
 DISPROPORTIONATE COSTS.
 (2)(A) IN CHOOSING WHICH ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS TO
 PROVIDE, PRIORITY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE ELEMENTS
 THAT WILL PROVIDE THE GREATEST ACCESS, IN THE FOLLOWING
 ORDER:
 (I) AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE;
 (II) AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE ALTERED AREA:
 (III) AT LEAST ONE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FOR EACH SEX OR
 A SINGLE UNISEX RESTROOM:
 (IV) ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES;
 (V) ACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAINS; AND
 (VI) WHEN POSSIBLE, ADDITIONAL ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS SUCH
 AS PARKING, STORAGE, AND ALARMS.
 PLEASE PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION HERE THESE MONIES WILL BE
 ALLOCATED.
  
 2) SHEET 2 INDICATES AN ACCESSIBLE RAMP WHICH IS THE
 MEANS OF EGRESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED. THE TOP LANDING
 WILL NEED TO BE INCREASED IN SIZE TO MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF 11-4.8.4(3) CHANGE OF DIRECTION AT
 LANDINGS.
  
 3) SHEET 1 IN THE EXISTING DINING AREA THE FRENCH DOORS
 ARE TO BE FRAMED IN, SHEET 2 INDICATES 2 NEW WINDOWS ON
 THIS WALL, PLEASE PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR THESE
 WINDOWS.
 1609, COMPONENTS AND CLADDING. PLEASE ALSO NOTE :
 106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 4) SHEET 2 THE NEW ADA BATH IS MISSING THE REQUIRED 18"
 ON THE LATCH SIDE OF THE DOOR. 11-4.13.6.
