 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2007 EXST BLD CODE 601.2 CONFORMANCE. AN EXISTING
 BUILDING OR PORTION THEREOF SHALL NOT BE ALTERED SUCH
 THAT THE BUILDING BECOMES LESS SAFE OR ENERGY EFFICIENT
 THAN ITS EXISTING CONDITION. IF IN THE ALTERATION THE
 CURRENT LEVEL OF SAFETY OR SANITATION IS TO BE REDUCED,
 THE PORTION ALTERED SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
  
 1A) SHEET 1-A1.0 THE PLANS APPEAR TO HAVE A OCCUPANCY
 SEPARATION WALL BETWEEN THE AUTOMOBILE REPAIR GARAGE
 AND PARTS STORAGE AND THE REPAIR GARAGE AND MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCY. IT APPEARS TO BE A MASONRY OPENING NOT
 PROTECTED NEXT TO DOOR # 1118?
  
 1B) THE ABOVE MENTIONED OCCUPANCY SEPARATION WALL IS
 THE ONLY OCCUPANCY SEPARATION WALL SHOWN ON THE PLANS,
 THERE WOULD APPEAR A OCCUPANCY SEPARATION WALL WOULD BE
 REQUIRED BETWEEN THE PARTS STORAGE AREA AND THE
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY. PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING FOR
 A MIXED OCCUPANCY, IF THIS BUILDING IS TO BE CONSIDERED
 SEPARATED (FBC-B 508.3.1.3 OR NON-SEPARATED 508.3.2 OR
 IF MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSORY OCCUPANCIES
 508.3.1.
 PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH THE FIRST FLOOR AND MEZZANINE
 SQUARE FOOT LEVELS ARE TO BE TOTALED TOGETHER FOR TOTAL
 SQ FT FOR THIS FIRE LOAD & OCCUPANCY IT APPEARS THE
 PARTS STORAGE AREA IS WELL OVER THE 10% OF THE TOTAL

 WHICH INCLUDES APPROX. 4000 SQ FT FIRST FLOOR PLUS 3015
 SQ FT ON THE PARTS MEZZANINE (VENDOR INSTALLED).
  
 2A) THIS IS A STORAGE OCCUPANCY IN A BUILDING TYPE L-B.
 PLEASE REVIEW FBC-B MEZZANINE AREA LIMITATION 505.2
 EXCEPTION# 2. THE AGGREGATE AREA OF MEZZANINES IN
 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES OF TYPE I OR II CONSTRUCTION
 SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE-HALF OF THE FLOOR AREA OF THE ROOM
 IN BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES EQUIPPED THROUGHOUT WITH AN
 APPROVED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 903.3.1.1 AND AN APPROVED EMERGENCY VOICE/ALARM
 COMMUNICATION SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 907.2.12.2.
  
 THE MEZZANINE LEVEL WILL NEED TO BE REDUCED OR IT WILL
 BE REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED A SECOND FLOOR AND TO MEET
 ALL BUILDING & MEANS OF EGRESS OF A SECOND FLOOR.
  
 2B) THE COMMENT VENDOR INSTALLED, IS THIS A
 PRE-ENGINEERED SYSTEM? THE LIVE LOADS FOR ANY STORAGE
 AREA ABOVE THE GROUND FLOOR WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED.

 LIGHT 125 PSF AND HEAVY 250 PSF. PLEASE PROVIDE
 ENGINEERING.
  
 2B)(1) 110.4.2 STORAGE & FACTORY- INDUSTRIAL
 OCCUPANCIES. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
 OWNER, AGENT, PROPIETOR OR OCCUPANT OF GROUP S AND
 GROUP F OCCUPANCIES, OR ANY OCCUPANCY WHERE EXCESSIVE
 FLOOR LOADING IS LIKELY TO OCCUR, TO EMPLOY A COMPETENT
 ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER IN COMPUTING THE SAFE FLOOR LOAD
 CAPACITY. ALL SUCH COMPUTATIONS SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY
 AN AFFADAVIT FROM THE ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER STATING THE
 SAFE ALLOWABLE FLOOR LOADS ON EACH FLOOR IN POUNDS PER
 SQ FT.THE
 COMPUTATIONS & AFFADAVIT SHALL BE FILED AS A PERMANENT
 RECORD OF THE BLDG DEPT.
  
  
 2B)(2) 110.4.3.SIGNS REQUIRED. IN EVERY BUILDING OR
 PART OF A BUILDING USED FOR STORAGE, INDUSTRIAL OR
 HAZARDOUS PURPOSES, THE SAFE FLOOR LOADS, AS REVIEWED
 BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL ON THE PLAN, SHALL BE MARKED
 ON PLATES OF APPROVED DE SIGN WHICH SHALL BE SUPPLIED &
 SECURELY AFFIXED BY THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING IN A
 CONSPICUOUS PLACE IN EACH STORY TO WHICH THEY RELATE.
 SUCH PLATES SHALL NOT BE REMOVED OR DEFACED, & IF LOST,
 REMOVED THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING SHALL REPLACE THEM.
  
 3) THE OTHER AREA OF CONCERN IS FOUND ON 1-A1.1 A
 BUSINESS MEZZANINE. PLEASE PROVIDE:
  
 3A) THE PLANS INDICATE A WALL TYPE M & N WHICH ARE NOT
 FOUND ON 0-A1.0.
  
 3B) PLEASE PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF MEZZANINE AND
 THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF OPEN AREA
 THAT COMMUNICATES WITH THIS AREA. FBC-B 505.2 & 505.4.
 IF THIS IS NOT A TRUE MEZZANINE THEN ISSUES WILL ARISE
 FROM THE OPEN STAIR THAT SERVES THIS AREA.
  
 4) BUSINESS MEZZANINE LEVEL WAS BUILT BEFORE THE ADA &
 FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE WERE IN ACTED. PLEASE
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B 11-4.1.6(1)(K) III)
  NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO RELIEVE
 THE OWNER OF ANY BUILDING, STRUCTURE OR FACILITY FROM
 THE DUTY TO PROVIDE VERTICAL ACCESSIBILITY TO ALL
 LEVELS ABOVE AND BELOW OCCUPIABLE GRADE LEVEL,
 REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CODE REQUIRES AN ELEVATOR TO
 BE INSTALLED IN SUCH BUILDING, STRUCTURE, OR FACILITY,
 EXCEPT FOR: (1) ELEVATOR PITS, ELEVATOR PENTHOUSES,

 8) THE ROOFING APPROVAL 07-1018.10 DURO-LAST SINGLE PLY
 PVC ROOFING SYSTEMS OVER CONCRETE DECKS THIS REPORT HAS
 SUBSYSTEM AND WILL NEED TO CIRCLE WHICH SUBSYSTEM WILL
 BE INSTALLED. PLEASE REVIEW THE DESIGN PRESSURES
 ASSOCIATED WITH EACH SUBSYSTEM AND IF LIMITATION 7 OR
 LIMITATION 9 ARE APPLICABLE. IF LIMITATION 7 IS
 INDICATED AND ENHANCED FASTENING IS REQUIRED IN ZONES 2
 & 3 PLEASE PROVIDE CALCULATIONS.
