 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) THE WRONG EXPOSURE CATEGORY IS SPECIFIED ON THE
 PLANS. THE CORRECT EXPOSURE IS 'C' PER FBC R
 301.2.1.4.3.
  
 2) THE STRUCTURE IS NOT A SINGLE FAMILY HOME BECAUSE IT
 HAS TWO SEPARATE DWELLING UNITS. IT IS A TWO-FAMILY
 DWELLING. FBCR CHAPTER 2.
  
 3) SPECIFY THE ONE HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED
 FLOOR/CEILING TESTED ASSEMBLY THAT WILL BE INSTALLED.
 PROVIDE A SECTION DETAIL OF THE TESTED ASSEMBLY WITH
 THE FILE OR LISTING NUMBER. FBC R 317.1
  
 4) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R317.1.1 SUPPORTING
 CONSTRUCTION WHICH REQUIRES THE WALLS SUPPORTING THE
 ONE HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED FLOOR/CEILING TO HAVE AN
 EQUAL OR GREATER FIRE-RESISTIVE RATING. PROVIDE A
 SECTION DETAIL OF THE TESTED ASSEMBLY WITH THE FILE OR
 LISTING NUMBER.
  
 5) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R317.3 WHICH REQUIRES
 PENETRATIONS OF FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED WALL OR
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES TO BE PROTECTED.
  
 6) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R602.1.2 FOR THE FIRE
 BLOCKING THAT IS REQUIRED IN THE BALLOON FRAMED WALLS
 AT THE CEILING AND FLOOR LEVELS.
  
 7) THE BEARING WALL SUPPORTING THE FLOOR/CEILING
 ASSEMBLY IS NOT SHOWN AS BEING CONTINUOUS ON THE PLANS.
 PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL DETAIL SHOWING HOW THE FLOOR
 JOISTS ARE BEING AT THE OPENING TO THE FIRST FLOOR
 KITCHEN. FBC R601.2
  
 8) THE PLANS SPECIFY 2 X 6 FLOOR JOISTS AT 16" OC
 SPANNING MORE THAN 13 FEET WITH A REQUIRED LIVE LOAD OF
 40 PSF. THIS EXCEEDS THE ALLOWABLE JOIST SPANS OF FBCR
 TABLE R502.2.3(2).
  
 9) THE STAIRWAYS AND HANDRAILS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY
 WITH FBC R311.5. THE PLANS SITE SBC 1608.2.1 AND 1007
 WHICH NO LONGER APPLY. CORRECT SHEET A-3.
  
 10) THE GUARDS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH FBC R312.
 CORRECT SHEET A-3.
  
 11) THE OPENINGS FOR THE GUARDS SHOWN ON A-2 OF THE
 PLANS, DO NOT COMPLY WITH FBC R312.2 GUARD OPENING
 LIMITATIONS. THE OPENINGS FOR GUARDS ON THE SIDES OF
 STAIR TREADS SHALL NOT ALLOW A 4-3/8" DIA. SPHERE TO
 PASS THROUGH.
  
 12) THE PLANS INDICATE A NEW EXTERIOR DOOR INSTALLED ON
 THE LAUNDRY ROOM. SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT
 APPROVALS FOR THE DOOR AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 13) THE PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. CITY
 AMENDMENTS 106.3.3
  
 14) THE SCOPE OF WORK DOES NOT INDICATE THAT THE
 WINDOWS ARE BEING REPLACED, HOWEVER, A WINDOW LEGEND IS
 SPECIFIED ON SHEET A-1. IF THE WINDOWS ARE TO BE
 REPLACED PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 15) SPECIFY ON THE PLANS THE DWELLING UNITS THAT WILL
 HAVE USE OF THE LAUNDRY ROOM. FBC R101.2
  
 16) THE SHARED LAUNDRY ROOM WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE
 ONE HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED SEPARATION FROM BOTH
 UNITS. FBC R317.1
  
 17) SUBMIT A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW THE REVIEW
 COMMENTS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED.
