 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) ON SHEET SP-1 THE 2004 EDITION OF THE EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE IS SPECIFIED. PLEASE UPDATE TO THE 2007
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE.
  
 2) BASED ON THE 2009 REVISIONS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE RESIDENTIAL BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED
 WITHIN 1500 FT OF EXPOSURE C TERRAIN, IT IS REQUIRED TO
 BE DESIGNED FOR EXPOSURE C. FBC R301.2.1.4.3. PLEASE
 REVISE SHEETS SP1, S1 AND S2.
  
 3) PLEASE INCREASE THE WINDOW AND DOOR PRESSURES ON S2
 TO REFLECT EXPOSURE C. FBCR301.2.1
  
 4) PLEASE UPDATE THE STRUCTURAL NOTES ON SHEET S-3 TO
 REFERENCE THE 2007 FBC AND ASCE7-05.
  
 5) SUBMIT TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE PGT
 IMPACT WINDOWS, THERMA-TRU IMPACT DOORS AND THE METAL
 ROOF SPECIFIED ON THE PLANS. DCA RULE 9B-72
  
 6) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE MANUFACTURER'S
 SPECIFICATIONS AND EVALUATION REPORTS FOR THE ICYNENE
 SPRAY FOAM INSULATION. FBC R314
  
 7) THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THERE IS 3'-11" BETWEEN THIS
 STRUCTURE AND ANOTHER DWELLING UNIT LOCATED ON THE SAME
 PROPERTY. THE FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE IS DEFINED AS
 THE DISTANCE FROM THE BUILDING FACE TO AN IMAGINARY
 LINE BETWEEN TWO BUILDINGS ON THE LOT. THEREFORE, THE
 FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE IS 1' - 11 & 1/2" . SECTION
 302.1 OF THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE REQUIRES PORTIONS
 OF A STRUCTURE THAT ARE BEING ALTERED TO COMPLY WITH
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THE
 PORTION OF THE WALL WITH A FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE OF
 LESS THAN 3 FEET IS BEING ALTERED TO ADD SOME WINDOWS.
 BASED ON FBCR TABLE R302.1, NO OPENINGS ARE ALLOWED IN
 THIS SECTION OF WALL. ALSO THE ALTERED WALL, NEW GABLE
 END AND UNDERSIDE OF THE OVER-HANG PROJECTION WILL
 REQUIRE A MINIMUM ONE HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING.
 PLEASE ADDRESS.
  
 8) THE PLANS INDICATE THAT AN EXISTING STORAGE AREA
 WILL BE CONVERTED TO LIVING SPACE AT THE NEW BATHROOM.
 THIS WILL REQUIRE THE PLANS TO BE REVIEWED BY PALM
 BEACH COUNTY FOR IMPACT FEES. PLEASE INDICATE UNDER THE
 AREA CALCULATIONS ON THE PLANS THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF
 THE STORAGE AREA THAT IS BEING CONVERTED TO LIVING
 SPACE.
  
 9) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R313.2.1 FOR REQUIRED SMOKE
 ALARMS.
  
 10) PLEASE PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW
 EACH OF THE COMMENTS IS BEING ADDRESSED.
