 404.1 SCOPE. LEVEL 2 ALTERATIONS INCLUDE THE
 RECONFIGURATION OF SPACE, THE ADDITION OR ELIMINATION
 OF ANY DOOR OR WINDOW, THE RECONFIGURATION OR EXTENSION
 OF ANY SYSTEM, OR THE INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL
 EQUIPMENT.

 2A) IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE PLANS, THEY SHOW
 AN EXISTING VERTICAL EXIT ENCLOSURE WITH TWO ISSUES:
  
 2A)(1) THE VERTICAL EXIT ENCLOSURE DOES NOT HAVE ??
 HOUR FIRE RATED DOORS SEPARATING IT FROM THE REMAINDER
 OF THE EXIT ACCESS CORRIDORS. SINCE THERE IS NO
 SEPARATION THE HORIZONTAL EXTENSION OF THE VERTICAL
 EXIT ( 1 HR/ FBC- 1020.1) WOULD BE CONSIDERED A EXIT
 PASSAGEWAY REQUIRING THE CONTINUATION OF ONE HOUR RATED
 WALLS WITH ONE HOUR OPENING PROTECTIVE???S ( FBC-TABLE
 715.4 SHAFTS/ EXIT ENCLOSURES & EXIT PASSAGE WAYS).
  
 2A)(2) THE PLANS SHOW AN EXISTING ELEVATOR SHAFT WITH
 DOORS OPENING INTO THE VERTICAL EXIT. PERMIT #
 91-B-02716 ON THE FIRST FLOOR INDICATED THE SHAFT TO BE
 WALLED UP AND THE PLANS ALSO INDICATE SHOP DRAWINGS
 WITH A NEW INFILL OF THE SECOND FLOOR WITHIN THE
 ELEVATOR SHAFT WITH STEEL SHOP DRAWINGS, ELIMINATING
 THE USE OF THE ELEVATOR.
 2007 FBC 1020.1 ELEVATOR SHAFTS SHALL NOT OPEN INTO AN
 EXIT ENCLOSURE.
  
 2B) THE CORRIDORS WITH WALL TAG #4 INDICATE A 1 HR
 RATING BUT THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE THE CONSTRUCTION
 OF THE OTHER NEW WALL TYPES. NO OTHER WALL TAGS ARE
 INDICATED. PLANS WILL NEED TO IDENTIFY WALL
 CONSTRUCTION BY STUD TYPE MATERIAL, SIZE, SPACING AND
 WALL FINISH MATERIALS. FBC-B 106.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION REQUIRED,
 FBC-B 603.1 & FBC-B TABLE 1017.1.
 2C) DOOR IDENTIFICATION INDICATES F.R. I TAKE THIS TO
 BE FIRE RATED DOORS BUT THERE IS NO LEGEND TO PROVIDE
 THE HOURLY RATING REQUIRED 2007 FBC-B TABLE 715.4 AND
 IF THERE IS TO BE ANY GLAZED OPENINGS WITHIN THE FIRE
 RATED DOORS (TABLE 715.5 & TABLE 715.5.3.
  
 2D) THE BOX OFFICE INDICATES THE USE OF A SLIDING GLASS
 WINDOW WHICH AS SHOWN IS STILL LOCATED WITHIN A EXIT
 PASSAGE WAY REQUIRING A ONE HOUR WALL RATING AS WELL AS
 A ONE HOUR OPENING PROTECTIVE PER TABLE 715.4. THE
 OTHER ISSUE WITH THIS AREA THE WALL RATING IS
 ELIMINATED, PLEASE REVIEW 2007 FBC-B TABLE 1017.1 FOR
 ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCIES.
  
 2E) THE PERFORMANCE SPACE WILL NEED TO INDICATE WHERE
 THE PUBLIC SEATING IS LOCATED AS WELL AS THE STAGE
 LOCATION, PLEASE PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY PLAN FOR BOTH
 THE FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS. 2007 FBC-B 106.3.5.1.1
 MINIMUM PLAN REVIEW REQUIREMENTS.
  
 2F) COSTUME SHOP- IS THIS A MERCANTILE OR RETAIL AREA?
  
 2G) SCENE SHOP PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
 WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OR USE OF THIS SPACE, WILL SCENES
 AND PROPS BE STORED THERE OR WILL THEY BE BUILT THERE.
 IF THE SCENES ARE BEING BUILT THERE WILL THERE BE
 CONSTRUCTION DUST AS SAW DUST?
 COMBUSTIBLE DUST. FINELY DIVIDED SOLID MATERIAL THAT IS
 420 MICRONS OR LESS IN DIAMETER AND WHICH, WHEN
 DISPERSED IN AIR IN THE PROPER PROPORTIONS, COULD BE
 IGNITED BY A FLAME, SPARK OR OTHER SOURCE OF IGNITION.
 COMBUSTIBLE DUST WILL PASS THROUGH A U.S. NO. 40
 STANDARD SIEVE.
 DEFLAGRATION. AN EXOTHERMIC REACTION, SUCH AS THE
 EXTREMELY RAPID OXIDATION OF A FLAMMABLE DUST OR VAPOR
 IN AIR, IN WHICH THE REACTION PROGRESSES THROUGH THE
 UNBURNED MATERIAL AT A RATE LESS THAN THE VELOCITY OF
 SOUND. A DEFLAGRATION CAN HAVE AN EXPLOSIVE EFFECT.

 REQUIREMENTS- COMBUSTIBLE DUST.
  
 2H) SCENE SHOP DOOR TYPE # 2, IS MISSING THE 12??? ON
 THE CORRIDOR SIDE ON THE LATCH SIDE OF DOOR. 2007 FBC-B
 11-4.13.6 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT DOORS.
  
 2I) THE TYPICAL STAIR DETAIL PROVIDED HAS ALL
 REFERENCES AND DIMENSIONS TO THE 2007 FBC-RESIDENTIAL
 CODE PLEASE UPDATE TO THE CORRECT CODE REFERENCES. THE
 DETAIL INDICATES THE USE OF ????? T & G FLOORING, NOTE
 TYPE I / TYPE II CONSTRUCTION FBC-B 1009.5 STAIRS ARE
 TO BE BUILT OF THE SAME MATERIALS WITH THE TYPE
 PERMITTED FOR THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION AS THE BUILDING
 TYPE.
  
 2J) PLEASE PROVIDE FLOOR AND FRAMING DETAILS FOR THE
