 PLAN FOR BOARDWALK IS PASSED WITH THE FOLLOWING
 PROVISOS:
 THE COUNTY MAY WISH TO WAIT AND MEET WITH JOAN
 GOLDBERG, PRIOR TO MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE LAND SIDE
 PLAN. SHE IS ON VACATION AND IS EXPECTED BACK ON APRIL
 5TH. THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS THE
 PRELIMINARY ESD REVIEW, SOME OF THE OUTSTANDING ISSUES
 INCLUDE (BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO):
 A. THE EXISTING BIKE PATH/PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY, FROM
 OKEECHOBEE BLVD. TO BANYAN IS 16' WIDE. IN PLACES WHERE
 IT NARROWS DOWN TO 12' THERE IS ANOTHER 4' WIDE GRAVEL
 PATH THAT RUNS IN PARALLEL. A DISCUSSION WAS HELD WITH
 ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER ED BALBIS, P.E., TO SEE IF THE
 LOST 7'-10" WIDE SECTION WHERE THE RAMP IS GOING TO BE
 PLACED WILL NEED TO BE PUT BACK, REQUIRING THE
 RELOCATION OF AT LEAST 2 - 14' TALL PEDESTRIAN PATH
 LIGHTS, FOUR TREES, IRRIGATION LINES, ELECTRIC BOXES,
 AND PLANTS. IT SHOULD BE WIDENED, BUT THE FINAL
 DECISION NEEDS TO BE MADE BY JOAN GOLDBERG.
 B. IF THE EXISTING PATH NEEDS TO BE WIDENED IT WILL
 NEED TO MATCH THE EXISTING DESIGN AND USE THE SAME
 MATERIALS (PAVERS). ESD WILL SUPPLY A COPY OF THE PLAN
 FOR THE WALK WAY, IF REQUIRED.
 C. WHEN THE RAMP IS BUILT THE NEW PLANTER BETWEEN THE
 WALKWAY AND THE RAMP WILL NEED TO BE IRRIGATED. THE
 CITY WILL SUPPLY A COPY OF THE IRRIGATION AS-BUILTS
 WHEN WE RECEIVE THEM. THE PLAN WILL NEED TO SHOW THIS
 WORK.
 D. THE NEW RAMP WILL NEED TO MEET THE CITY PAVER
 DESIGN. ESD WILL SUPPLY A COPY OF THE PLAN, IF
 REQUIRED.
 E. THE BOARDWALK WILL NOT HAVE LIGHTS, SO IT WILL BE
 UNSAFE TO USE AT NIGHT. A GATE MAY NEED TO BE SUPPLIED
 TO LOCK DOWN THE BOARDWALK FROM SUNSET TO SUNRISE.
 F. WORK IN THE FLAGLER DRIVE ROW WILL NEED TO EITHER
 STOP OR BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO AND DURING THE EVENTS
 THAT TAKE PLACE IN THE FLAGLER DRIVE AREA. TOWARDS THIS
 END WE OBTAINED A COPY OF THE EVENT SCHEDULE SO THE
 LAND SIDE CONSTRUCTION CAN BE COORDINATED WITH THE
 EVENTS. IT WILL BE SENT TO THE COUNTY VIA EMAIL. THE
 SCHEDULE MAY CHANGE SO KEEP IN CONTACT WITH NICOLE
 MARTIN, EVENT SPECIALIST, COMMUNITY EVENTS DIVISION, AT
 561-822-1527 OR EMAIL HER AT [email protected].
 G. WHERE THE LANDING STARTS THERE IS A 30" RCP STORM
 LINE COMING THRU THE SEAWALL AT AN INVERT ELEVATION OF
 -4.85. EITHER THE LEDGE THAT IS TO BE BUILT TO HOLD THE
 SPARTINA (GRASS) WILL NEED TO BE MOVED OR THE STORM
 LINE WILL NEED TO BE EXTENDED UNDER THE LEDGE TO ALLOW
 THE STORMWATER SYSTEM TO WORK. ANOTHER SUGGESTION BY
 ONE OF OUR ENGINEERS WAS TO BUILD A BOX AROUND THE END
 OF THE LINE IN THE INTRACOASTAL TO ALLOW THE WATER TO
 FLOW OUT OVER THE GRASS. SINCE THE COUNTY PLAN IS NOT
 TO SCALE AND HAS NO MEASUREMENTS SHOWING THE DISTANCES
 BETWEEN THE LEDGES ALONG THE SEAWALL, WE WILL SUPPLY AN
 AS-BUILT (IN AUTO-CAD) FOR THE COUNTY'S USE TO CHECK
 OTHER POSSIBLE CONFLICTS WITH STORM LINES. (SNAP SHOT
 DELETED FROM REVIEW, SEE WORD DOCUMENT EMAILED TO THE
 COUNTY).
 H. DETAIL FROM AS-BUILT SHOWS TIE-IN FROM NEW SEAWALL
 TO EXISTING SEAWALL (BY FDOT) WITH RAILING ON TOP. I
 VISUALLY CHECKED AND IT APPEARS TO BE BUILT THIS WAY.
 THIS WILL AFFECT THE RAILING DESIGN AS SUBMITTED. WILL
 SUPPLY AS-BUILT (IN AUTO-CAD) FOR THE COUNTY'S USE TO
 CHECK OTHER POSSIBLE CONFLICTS. (SNAP SHOT DELETED FROM
