 UPDATE PLANS TO THE CURRENT CODE EDITION AND
 REQUIREMENTS.
  
 PLANS WILL ALSO BE REVIEWED TO THE 2007 EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE W/ 2009 SUPPLEMENTS, PLEASE INDICATE TO
 WHAT LEVEL ALTERATION WILL BE COMPLETED UNDERTHIS
 PERMIT.
 401.4 A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OR AN OWNER MUST ELECT ONE
 OR A COMBINATION OF LEVELS OF ALTERATION PURSUANT TO
 SECTIONS 403, 404 AND 405 OF THIS CODE. PLEASE UPDATE
 PLANS TO THE CURRENT CODE EDITION AND REQUIREMENTS.
  
 2A) SHEET A-4 PLEASE REVIEW FLOOR ASSEMBLIES BENEATH
 1ST FLOOR AND THE 2ND FLOOR/ CEILING ASSEMBLY, PLEASE
 CONFORM TO SECTIONR317.1. R317.1 TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
 DWELLING UNITS IN TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS SHALL BE
 SEPARATED FROM EACH OTHER BY WALL AND/OR FLOOR
 ASSEMBLIES HAVING NOT LESS THAN A 1-HOUR
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 ASTM E 119. FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED FLOOR-CEILING AND
 WALL ASSEMBLIES SHALL EXTEND TO AND BE TIGHT AGAINST
 THE EXTERIOR WALL, AND WALL ASSEMBLIES SHALL EXTEND TO
 THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING.
  
 2B) PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE FIRE PENETRATION PROTECTION IN
 THE TENANT SEPERATION WALL PERR317.3.1 THROUGH
 PENETRATIONS. THROUGH PENETRATIONS OF
 FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED WALL OR FLOOR ASSEMBLIES SHALL
 COMPLY WITH SECTION R317.3.1.1 OR R317.3.1.2.
  
 EXCEPTION: WHERE THE PENETRATING ITEMS ARE STEEL,
 FERROUS OR COPPER PIPES, TUBES OR CONDUITS, THE ANNULAR
 SPACE SHALL BE PROTECTED AS FOLLOWS:
  
 1. IN CONCRETE OR MASONRY WALL OR FLOOR ASSEMBLIES
 WHERE THE PENETRATING ITEM IS A MAXIMUM 6 INCHES (152
 MM) NOMINAL DIAMETER AND THE AREA OF THE OPENING
 THROUGH THE WALL DOES NOT EXCEED 144 SQUARE INCHES (92
 900 MM2), CONCRETE, GROUT OR MORTAR IS PERMITTED WHERE
 INSTALLED TO THE FULL THICKNESS OF THE WALL OR FLOOR
 ASSEMBLY OR THE THICKNESS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN THE
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING.
  
 2. THE MATERIAL USED TO FILL THE ANNULAR SPACE SHALL
 PREVENT THE PASSAGE OF FLAME AND HOT GASES SUFFICIENT
 TO IGNITE COTTON WASTE WHERE SUBJECTED TO ASTM E 119
 TIME TEMPERATURE FIRE CONDITIONS UNDER A MINIMUM
 POSITIVE PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL OF 0.01 INCH OF WATER (3
 PA) AT THE LOCATION OF THE PENETRATION FOR THE TIME
 PERIOD EQUIVALENT TO THE FIRE RESISTANCE RATING OF THE
 CONSTRUCTION PENETRATED.
  
 2C) PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE 1 HR RATING
 BEHIND THE ELECTRICAL PANELS BACK TO BACK INTHE TENANT
 SEPERATION WALL. R-317.1.
  
 2D) INTERIOR TYPICAL BEARING WALL DETAIL INDICATES STEM
 WALL CONSTRUCTION A PT SILL PLATE AND WHAT APPEARS TO
 BE CONCRETE BETWEEN FLOOR JOIST PLEASE INDICATE TYPE OF
 MATERIAL TO BE PLACED IN THIS AREA, 106.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION REQUIRED.
  
 2E ) EXTERIOR BEARING WALL AT THE TOP OF THE SECOND
 FLOOR TRUSSES, MISSING A BOTTOM PLATE WHICH ALSO ACTS
 AS A FIRE STOP BETWEEN VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL AREAS.
