 3A) DEFINITION OF REPAIR IS; THE PATCHING, RESTORATION
 AND/OR MINOR REPLACEMENT OF MATERIALS, ELEMENTS,
 COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT AND/OR FIXTURES FOR THE PURPOSES
 OF MAINTAINING SUCH MATERIALS, ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 EQUIPMENT AND/OR FIXTURES IN GOOD OR SOUND CONDITION.
  
 3B) DEFINITION OF LEVEL III;
 405.1 SCOPE. LEVEL 3 ALTERATIONS APPLY WHERE THE WORK
 AREA EXCEEDS 50 PERCENT OF THE AGGREGATE AREA OF THE
 BUILDING AND MADE WITHIN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD.
  
 EXCEPTION: WORK AREAS IN WHICH THE ALTERATION WORK IS
 EXCLUSIVELY PLUMBING, MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL SHALL
 NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE COMPUTATION OF TOTAL AREA OF ALL
 WORK AREAS.
  
 3C) 405.2 APPLICATION. LEVEL 3 ALTERATIONS SHALL COMPLY
 WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTERS 6 AND 7 FOR LEVEL 1 AND
 2 ALTERATIONS, RESPECTIVELY, AS WELL AS THE PROVISIONS
 OF CHAPTER 8.
 BY THE DEFINITONS THIS IS DETERMINED TO BE A LEVEL
 THREE ALTERATION. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD MUST COMPLETE
 A STRUCTURAL EVALUATION IN COMPLIANCE WITH 807.5.1.
 807.5.1 EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS. AN ENGINEERING
 EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS THAT ESTABLISHES THE STRUCTURAL
 ADEQUACY OF THE ALTERED STRUCTURE SHALL BE PREPARED BY
 A REGISTERED ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER AND SUBMITTED TO THE
 BUILDING CODE OFFICIAL. DOES THIS TRUCTURE HAVE COLUMNS
 THAT WILL MAKE A CONTINIOUS LOAD PATH TO THE
 FOUNDATION?
  
 3D) 807.5.2 SUBSTANTIAL STRUCTURAL ALTERATION. WHERE
 MORE THAN 30 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL SUM OF FLOOR AND ROOF
 AREAS OF THE BUILDING OR STRUCTURE HAS BEEN OR IS
 PROPOSED TO BE INVOLVED IN STRUCTURAL ALTERATION WITHIN
 A 12-MONTH PERIOD, THE EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS SHALL
 DEMONSTRATE THAT THE ALTERED BUILDING OR STRUCTURE
 COMPLIES WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING FOR
 WIND LOADING.
  
 4) TRUSS PACKAGE:
 4A) BOTTOM CHORD LIVE LOAD, AS INDICATED WITHIN THE
 TRUSS ENGINEERING THE BOTTOM CHORD LIVE LOAD AS ZERO
 LBS. PLEASE REVIEW TABLE 301.5 LIVE LOADS FOOTNOTE "B"
 ATTICS WITHOUT STORAGE MUST MEET ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
 CRITERIA, THESE TRUSSES DO NOT MEET ANY OF THE CRITERIA
 REQUIRING 20 LBS LIVE LOAD ON THE BOTTOM CHORD. TABLE
 R301.5.FOOTNOTE (B). ATTICS WITHOUT STORAGE ARE THOSE
 WHERE THE MAXIMUM CLEAR HEIGHT BETWEEN JOIST AND RAFTER
 IS LESS THAN 42 INCHES, OR WHERE THERE ARE NOT TWO OR
 MORE ADJACENT TRUSSES WITH THE SAME WEB CONFIGURATION
 CAPABLE OF CONTAINING A RECTANGLE 42 INCHES HIGH BY 2
 FEET WIDE, OR GREATER, LOCATED WITHIN THE PLANE OF THE
 TRUSS. FOR ATTICS WITHOUT STORAGE, THIS LIVE LOAD NEED
 NOT BE ASSUMED TO ACT CONCURRENTLY WITH ANY OTHER LIVE

 4B) NOTE THIS WILL BE A BUILDING STIPULATION NOTED ON
 THE PERMIT AND CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY,BUILDING
 PROVISO: THAT ONLY SHINGLES CAN BE APPLIED TO THIS
 ROOF, WITH A 7.0 DEAD LOAD THERE IS NO ALLOWANCE FOR A
 SECOND LAYER OF SHINGLES WITHOUT THE REMOVAL OF THE
 FIRST LAYER OR ROOF TILE.
  
 5) 1609.1.4 PROTECTION OF OPENINGS IN WIND-BORNE DEBRIS
 REGIONS, EXTERIOR GLAZING THAT RECEIVES POSITIVE
 PRESSURE IN THE LOWER 60 FEET (18.3 M) IN BUILDINGS
 SHALL BE ASSUMED TO BE OPENINGS AND THE BALANCE OF
 GLAZED OPENINGS IN THE REST OF THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 ASSUMED TO BE ZERO UNLESS SUCH GLAZING THAT RECEIVES
 POSITIVE PRESSURE IS IMPACT RESISTANT OR PROTECTED WITH
 AN IMPACT RESISTANT COVERING MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF SSTD 12, ASTM E 1886 AND ASTM E 1996, OR MIAMI-DADE
 TAS 201, 202 AND 203 REFERENCED THEREIN AS FOLLOWS: 1.

 8) 106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE

 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
