 FBC-2007 CHAPTER 1 (ADMIN)
  
 A. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FOR GAS
 PERMIT:
  
 1. SUBMIT AN ISOMETRIC DRAWING THAT
 CLEARLY SHOWS ALL CUT SECTIONS OF PIPE
 AND CORRESPONDING LENGTHS PER FBC-2004
 FUEL GAS CODE. -- SHOW THE METER AND THE PIPING OUT OF
 THE METER TO INDICATE WHERE THE TEE TO THE COOKTOP
 CONNECTS TO THE GAS PIPING. SHOW PIPE SIZE OUT OF THE
 METER TO THE TEE ADDED TO THE SYSTEM. INDICATE BTU LOAD
 ON EACH SIDE OF THE TEE.
  
 2. BTU LOAD OF EACH APPLIANCE AND THE
 TOTAL BTU LOAD ON THE SYSTEM. REFER TO
 THE FBC-2004 FUEL GAS CODE SECS. 401.8
 THRU 402.6.1 AND TABLES 402.4(1) THRU
 402.4(33). -- INDICATE TOTAL BTU LOAD FOR THE SYSTEM.
  
 3. SHOW THE DISTANCE FROM THE POINT OF
 DELIVERY, (METER), TO THE MOST REMOTE
 OUTLET IN THE BUILDING AND/OR SYSTEM PER
 FBC-2004 FUEL GAS CODE APPENDIX A - USE
 OF CAPACITY TABLES A.3.1(4). -- ONLY DISTANCE SHOWN IS
 FOR THE COOKTOP.
  
 4. INDICATE THE DELIVERY PRESSURE (PSI)
 PER FBC-2004 FUEL GAS CODE SEC. 402.2.
 NATURAL GAS SPECIFY .5 PSI OR 2 PSI.
  
 5. SUBMIT MANUFACTURE SHEETS FOR ALL GAS
 EQUIPMENT TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH
 STANDARDS NFPA 54, NFPA 58, AND THE
 FBC-2004 FUEL GAS CODE SEC 402.2.
  
 B. THE VALUATION OF THE WORK APPEARS TO BE LOW. THE
 PRICE OF THE COOKTOP SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE COST OF
 THE PERMIT.
 104.6.5 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. IF
 IN THE OPINION OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF BUILDING, AL-
 TERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS,
 MECHANICAL OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS
 TO BE UNDERESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION,
 THE PERMIT SHALL BE DENIED, UNLESS THE
 APPLICANT CAN SHOW DETAILED ESTIMATES
 AND/OR BONA FIDED SIGNED CONTRACTS (EX-
 CLUDING LAND VALUE) TO MEET THE APPROVAL
 OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION FOR BUILDINGS AND
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE FOUND IN MARSHALL AND
 SWIFT OR THE SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE
 CONGRESS INTERNATIONAL VALUATION TABLES,
 LATEST EDITION, AND SHALL BE BASED ON
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE
 STRUCTURAL, ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHAN-
 ICAL, INTERIOR FINISH, NORMAL SITE WORK
 (EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL FOR BUILDINGS),
 ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES, OVERHEAD
 AND PROFIT, EXCLUDING ONLY LAND VALUE.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE
 THE REVISION & REMOVE & REPLACE ANY
 PAGES AS NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER
 LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER,
 WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND
 WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. REMOVE
 ALL VOID SHEETS FROM ALL PLANS AND PLACE
 ONE SET OF THEM LOOSELY ON TOP OF THE
 COLLATED PLANS TO BE REVIEWED.
