 FBC 2004 CODE FAMILY W/ 2007 SUPPLEMENTS
 FBC CH.1 AS AMENDED BY THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
  
 BASED ON THE SCOPE OF WORK AND THE FLOOR PLAN SHOWN,
 THE USE OF THIS SPACE FOR CHILD CARE WOULD CONSTITUTE A
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY. A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY IS DEFINED
 AS A CHANGE IN THE PURPOSE OR LEVEL OF ACTIVITY WITHIN
 A BUILDING THAT INVOLVES A CHANGE IN APPLICATION OF THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-EB
 SECTION 202. THE PROPOSED USE WOULD BE A DAY-CARE
 OCCUPANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-B SECTION 313.
  
 WHERE THE OCCUPANCY OF AN EXISTING BUILDING OR PART OF
 AN EXISTING BUILDING IS CHANGED SUCH THAT THE NEW
 OCCUPANCY IS SUBJECT TO INCREASED MECHANICAL
 VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL, THE INTENT OF THE RESPECTIVE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL PROVISIONS SHALL BE
 COMPLIED WITH FOR THE NEW OCCUPANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 FBC-EB 809.1. PLEASE SHOW HOW THE VENTILATION
 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROPOSED NEW OCCUPANCY ARE TO BE
 MET IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-M 403.3.
  
 AS THIS BUILDING WAS PERMITTED PRIOR TO MARCH 15, 1979,
 IT SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR RENOVATIONS IN
 SECTION 101.1.3 FOR THOSE COMPONENTS WHICH ARE BEING
 RETROFITTED OR REPLACED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-B
 13-101.3.1. PLEASE DEMONSTRATE COMPLIANCE WITH THESE
 REQUIREMENTS AS APPROPRIATE.
