 2) ENERGY CALCULATIONS PLEASE REVIEW 13-400.0.C.4
 RENOVATED BUILDINGS.
 RENOVATED BUILDINGS SHALL, WHEN APPLICABLE (SEE SECTION
 202), MEET THE EFFICIENCIES LISTED ON FORM 400C FOR
 COMPONENTS BEING CHANGED OR SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 ENVELOPE OR SYSTEMS CRITERIA IN METHOD B OF FLA/COM FOR
 THE COMPONENTS BEING CHANGED. EXISTING BUILDINGS NOT
 MEETING THE DEFINITION OF A RENOVATION IN WHICH NEW
 HEATING, COOLING, WATER HEATING, ELECTRICAL OR LIGHTING
 SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED SHALL MEET THE BASIC PRESCRIPTIVE
 MINIMUM EFFICIENCIES LISTED IN THIS CODE FOR THE
 SYSTEM(S) BEING CHANGED.
  
 RENOVATION. ANY STRUCTURAL REPAIR, RECONSTRUCTION OR
 RESTORATION TO A STRUCTURE, THE COSTS OF WHICH EQUALS
 OR EXCEEDS, OVER A ONE-YEAR PERIOD, A CUMULATIVE TOTAL
 OF 30 PERCENT OF THE ASSESSED VALUE OF THE STRUCTURE
 WHEN THAT VALUE IS ASSESSED, EITHER:
 1. BEFORE THE IMPROVEMENT OR REPAIR IS STARTED; OR
 2. BEFORE THE DAMAGE OCCURRED, IF THE STRUCTURE HAS
 BEEN DAMAGED.
 FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CODE, RENOVATION OCCURS WHEN
 THE FIRST ALTERATION OF ANY WALL, CEILING, FLOOR, OR
 OTHER STRUCTURAL PART OR MECHANICAL SYSTEM OF THE
 BUILDING COMMENCES, WHETHER OR NOT THAT ALTERATION
 AFFECTS THE EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS OF THE STRUCTURE.
  
 WITH THIS ONLY BEING A PLAN REVIEW AND NOT A PERMIT
 APPLICATION IT APPEARS THE WORK TO BE COVERED UNDER
 THIS PERMIT WILL NOT MEET THE 30% OF THE VALUE OF THE
 BUILDING, REQUIRING FORM 400 C, ONCE THE VALUE IS KNOWN
 WE WILL HAVE THE CRITERIA TO ASSESS WHICH METHOD B OR C
 SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED.
