 LEVEL 2 ALTERATION
  
 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) SPECIFY THE APPLICABLE BUILDING CODE AND THE CORRECT
 EDITION OF ASCE 7 ON THE PLANS. SEE 2004 FBC AND ASCE
 4-02.
  
 2) NOTE 2 ON SHEET 1 OF THE PLANS SPECIFIES REPLACE ALL
 DOORS. SUBMIT 2 SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 DOORS. RULE 9B-72.
  
 3) PLEASE CLARIFY ON THE PLANS IF THE OVERHEAD GARAGE
 DOOR IS BEING REPLACED. IF IT IS, SUBMIT PRODUCT
 APPROVALS.
  
 4) THE MEAN ROOF HEIGHT ON SHEET 1 IS INCORRECT. MEAN
 ROOF HEIGHT IS THE DISTANCE FROM GRADE TO THE AVERAGE
 HEIGHT OF THE SLOPED ROOF. SEE FBC R202 FOR BUILDING
 HEIGHT AND MEAN ROOF HEIGHT.
  
 5) SPECIFY THE CORRECT ROOF SLOPE ON SHEET 1. ROOF IS
 NOT FLAT. FBC R301.2.1
  
 6) PRODUCT APPROVALS WERE SUBMITTED FOR DOUBLE HUNG
 WINDOWS AND THE PLANS SPECIFY ALL SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS.
 PLEASE CLARIFY.
  
 7) THE PRODUCT APPROVAL STATE COVERSHEET FOR THE DOUBLE
 HUNG WINDOWS IS NOT THE CORRECT ONE. IT IS FOR THE 2007
 FBC AND IT HAS A PENDING STATUS. THE ONE FOR THE 2004
 FBC IS REQUIRED. DCA RULE 9B-72.
  
 8) THE MINIMUM WALL INSULATION FOR A 2 X 6 WALL IS R-19
 PER FBC 13-600. REVISE THE R VALUE SPECIFIED WALL
 SECTION B ON SHEET 2.
  
 9) PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL DETAIL OF THE BAY WINDOW
 INDICATING HOW THE DOUBLE 2 X 8 HEADER ABOVE THE
 WINDOWS WILL BE SUPPORTED AND HOW THEY WILL BE ATTACHED
 TO THE EXISTING TIE BEAM. SPECIFY HOW LOADS WILL BE
 TRANSFERRED TO THE FOUNDATION. FBC R301.1.
  
 10) SPECIFY THE REQUIRED LOAD BEARING CAPACITY OF THE
 SOIL ON THE PLANS FOR THE NEW BAY WINDOW FOUNDATION.
 FBC R 403.1
  
 11) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R320.1 FOR PROTECTION AGAINST
 TERMITES ON THE PLANS AT THE NEW BAY WINDOW.
  
 12) IF THE DOORS AND OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR ARE BEING
 REPLACED SPECIFY THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE OPENING
 PRESSURES FOR THEM ON THE PLANS. FBC R301.2.1
  
 13) THE VALUE OF THE WORK SPECIFIED ON THE APPLICATION
 APPEARS TO BE LOW. THE VALUE IS TO INCLUDE THE COST OF
 MATERIALS, LABOR, ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, FIXTURES,
 CABINETS, DESIGN COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AS A
 CONTRACTOR WOULD CHARGE. PLEASE ADJUST THE VALUE ON THE
 APPLICATION.
