 1) THE VALUE OF THE WORK LISTED ON THE APPLICATION IS
 LOW. PLEASE INCREASE THE VALUE FOR THE WORK ON THE
 APPLICATION. FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES, VALUATION OF
 BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE
 TO INCLUDE MATERIALS, LABOR, DESIGN FEES, OVERHEAD AND

 ADD 2007 AMENDMENTS TO APPLICABLE CODES.
  
 6) ON THE PLANS, SPECIFY THE DISTANCES TO THE PROPERTY
 LINES AND OTHER STRUCTURES AT THE ADDITION. SEE FBC R
 R302.1 EXTERIOR WALLS.
 EXTERIOR WALLS SEPARATED BY LESS THAN 6 FEET (1828 MM)
 SHALL HAVE NOT LESS THAN A ONE-HOUR FIRE-RESISTIVE
 RATING WITH EXPOSURE FROM BOTH SIDES. PROJECTIONS SHALL
 NOT EXTEND TO A POINT CLOSER THAN 4 FEET (1220 MM) FROM
 AN ADJACENT PROJECTION OR WALL.
  
 7) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR EXTERIOR
 WINDOWS, DOORS, STORM PANELS, ROOF COVERING AND TRUSS
 CONNECTORS AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9B-72.
  
 8)FBC 106.3* CITY AMENDMENTS PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE
 PRODUCT WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 9) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF A KEY PLAN AND INSTALLATION
 SCHEDULE FOR THE STORM PANELS. SPECIFY THE MOUNT TYPE,
 ANCHOR TYPE AND SPACING, SPANS, EDGE DISTANCE, GLASS
 SEPARATION, ETC. FROM THE PRODUCT APPROVAL THAT WILL BE
 USED. SEE ATTACHED SAMPLE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE. SEE
 R301.2.1.2 PROTECTION OF OPENINGS.
  
 10) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R317.1 TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
 DWELLING UNITS IN TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS SHALL BE
 SEPARATED FROM EACH OTHER BY WALL AND/OR FLOOR
 ASSEMBLIES HAVING NOT LESS THAN 1-HOUR FIRE -RESISTANCE
 RATING WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 119. FIRE
 -RESISTANCE-RATED FLOOR-CEILING AND WALL ASSEMBLIES
 SHALL EXTEND TO AND BE TIGHT AGAINST THE EXTERIOR WALL,
 AND WALL ASSEMBLIES SHALL EXTEND TO THE UNDERSIDE OF
 THE ROOF SHEATHING.
 R317.1.1 SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION.
 WHEN FLOOR ASSEMBLIES ARE REQUIRED TO BE FIRE
 -RESISTANCE-RATED BY SECTION R317.1 , THE SUPPORTING
 CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH ASSEMBLIES SHALL HAVE AN EQUAL OR
 GREATER FIRE -RESISTIVE RATING.
 PROVIDE LISTED ASSEMBLY DETAILS.
  
 11) THE WINDOW AND DOOR SCHEDULE ON A-2.2 SPECIFIES
 STORM SHUTTERS ON ALL OPENINGS. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 R310.4 BARS, GRILLS, COVERS AND SCREENS.
 BARS, GRILLS, COVERS, SCREENS OR SIMILAR DEVICES ARE
 PERMITTED TO BE PLACED OVER EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE
 OPENINGS, BULKHEAD ENCLOSURES, OR WINDOWWELLS THAT
 SERVE SUCH OPENINGS, PROVIDED THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR
 OPENING SIZE COMPLIES WITH SECTIONS R310.1.1 TO
 R310.1.3 , AND SUCH DEVICES SHALL BE RELEASABLE OR
 REMOVABLE FROM THE INSIDE WITHOUT THE USE OF A KEY,
 TOOL OR FORCE GREATER THAN THAT WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR
 NORMAL OPERATION OF THE ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING. THE
 TEMPORARY INSTALLATION OR CLOSURE OF STORM SHUTTERS ,
 PANELS, AND OTHER APPROVED HURRICANE PROTECTION DEVICES
 SHALL BE PERMITTED ON EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE
 OPENINGS DURING THE THREAT OF A STORM. SUCH DEVICES
 SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE OPERATIONAL
 CONSTRAINTS OF SECTION R310.1.4 . WHILE SUCH PROTECTION
 IS PROVIDED, AT LEAST ONE MEANS OF ESCAPE FROM THE
 DWELLING OR DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED. THE MEANS
 OF ESCAPE SHALL BE WITHIN THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE
 DWELLING OR DWELLING UNIT AND SHALL NOT BE LOCATED
 WITHIN A GARAGE WITHOUT A SIDE HINGED DOOR LEADING
 DIRECTLY TO THE EXTERIOR. OCCUPANTS IN ANY PART OF THE
 DWELLING OR DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE
 MEANS OF ESCAPE WITHOUT PASSING THROUGH A LOCKABLE DOOR
 NOT UNDER THEIR CONTROL.
  
 12) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R807.1 ATTIC ACCESS.
 IN BUILDINGS WITH COMBUSTIBLE CEILING OR ROOF
 CONSTRUCTION, AN ATTIC ACCESS OPENING SHALL BE PROVIDED
 TO ATTIC AREAS THAT EXCEED 30 SQUARE FEET (2.8 M 2 )
 AND HAVE A VERTICAL HEIGHT OF 30 INCHES (762 MM) OR
 GREATER.
  
 13) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R806.2 MINIMUM AREA.
 THE TOTAL NET FREE VENTILATING AREA SHALL NOT BE LESS
 THAN 1 TO 150 OF THE AREA OF THE SPACE VENTILATED
 EXCEPT THAT THE TOTAL AREA IS PERMITTED TO BE REDUCED
 TO 1 TO 300, PROVIDED AT LEAST 50 PERCENT AND NOT MORE
 THAN 80 PERCENT OF THE REQUIRED VENTILATING AREA IS
 PROVIDED BY VENTILATORS LOCATED IN THE UPPER PORTION OF
 THE SPACE TO BE VENTILATED AT LEAST 3 FEET (914 MM)
 ABOVE EAVE OR CORNICE VENTS WITH THE BALANCE OF THE
 REQUIRED VENTILATION PROVIDED BY EAVE OR CORNICE VENTS.
 AS AN ALTERNATIVE, THE NET FREE CROSS-VENTILATION AREA
 MAY BE REDUCED TO 1 TO 300 WHEN A VAPOR BARRIER HAVING
 A TRANSMISSION RATE NOT EXCEEDING 1 PERMIS INSTALLED
 ON THE WARM SIDE OF THE CEILING. SPECIFY THE SIZE AND
 SPACING OF THE ATTIC VENTS.
  
 14) SUBMIT ENERGY CALCULATION FORMS AS REQUIRED BY FBC
 13-600.
  
 15) SPECIFY THE INSULATION FOR THE EXTERIOR WALLS ON
 THE WALL SECTION. SEE FBC 13-600.
  
 16) THERE IS TWO DIFFERENT PLAN SHEET NUMBERED A-4.0.
 PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 17) UNDER GENERAL STRUCTURAL NOTE #1 ON SHEET A-4.0,
 PLEASE REVISE TO ASCE 7-02. SEE REFERENCED STANDARDS IN
 CHAPTER 43 OF 2004 FBC RESIDENTIAL.
  
 18) ON A-4.0 THE ROOF UPLIFT COMPONENT AND CLADDING
 PRESSURES ARE TOO LOW FOR EXPOSURE C WITH A 3:12 ROOF
 PITCH AND A 10 SQFT EFFECTIVE WIND AREA. SEE FBC R
 TABLE R301.2(2) AND R301.2(3).
  
 19) WALL SECTION 2 ON A-5.3 SPECIFIES A DOUBLE 2 X 8
 LEDGER W/ (2) 5/8" DIA. ANCHOR BOLTS AT 36" OC. PLEASE
 CLARIFY WHAT THEY WILL BE ANCHORED TO, AS THERE IS NO
 TIE BEAM SPECIFIED AT THIS LOCATION. ALSO SPECIFY THE
 LENGTH/ EMBED DEPTH FOR THE ANCHOR BOLTS.
  
 20) SPECIFY HOW THE WOOD BEAM (WD-1) SUPPORTING THE
 ROOF AT THE SECOND FLOOR BALCONY ON SHEET A-4.0 WILL BE
 CONNECTED TO THE STRUCTURE. R802.2.9.1 UPLIFT
 RESISTANCE. A CONTINUOUS LOAD PATH SHALL BE PROVIDED TO
 TRANSMIT THE UPLIFT FORCES FROM THE RAFTER OR TRUSS
 TIES TO THE FOUNDATION. FOR RAFTER CONSTRUCTION, STRAPS
 AND/OR CLIPS SHALL EXTEND SUCH THAT THE TOP NAIL IS
 WITHIN 1 INCH OF THE TOP OF THE RAFTER, OR SHALL BE
 WRAPPED AROUND THE TOP OF THE RAFTER WITH ONE OR MORE
 NAILS INSTALLED ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RAFTER.
  
 21) SPECIFY THE CONNECTORS FOR THE ENDS OF THE DOUBLE 2

 0.42 < G < 0.49 IS USED, SPACING OF RING-SHANK
 FASTENERS SHALL BE 4 INCHES ON CENTER IN NAILING ZONE 3
 FOR 130 MPH OR GREATER DESIGN WIND SPEEDS IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH FIGURE R803.2.3.1 .
  
 24) SPECIFY TWO LAYERS OF UNDERLAYMENTR905.3.3.1 LOW
 SLOPE ROOFS.
 FOR ROOF SLOPES FROM TWO AND ONE-HALF UNITS VERTICAL IN
 12 UNITS HORIZONTAL (2? :12), UP TO FOUR UNITS VERTICAL
 IN 12 UNITS HORIZONTAL (4:12), UNDERLAYMENT SHALL BE A
 MINIMUM OF TWO LAYERS UNDERLAYMENT APPLIED AS FOLLOWS:
  
 1.STARTING AT THE EAVE, A 19-INCH (483 MM) STRIP
 OF UNDERLAYMENT SHALL BE APPLIED PARALLEL WITH THE EAVE
 AND FASTENED SUFFICIENTLY IN PLACE.
 2.STARTING AT THE EAVE, 36-INCH-WIDE (914 MM)
 STRIPS OF UNDERLAYMENT FELT SHALL BE APPLIED,
 OVERLAPPING SUCCESSIVE SHEETS 19 INCHES (483 MM), AND
 FASTENED SUFFICIENTLY IN PLACE.
