 2007 REVISIONS, CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO
 CHAPTER 1 (W.P.B.), FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
 (F.A.C.), AND FLORIDA STATUTES (F.S.).
  
 PLUMBING PLAN REVIEW:
 DENIED:
  
 THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS/INFORMATION ARE REQUIRED FOR
 PLUMBING PLAN REVIEW TO MEET CODE COMPLIANCE.
  
 1. SHEET P-1 PLUMBING PLAN, AND SHEET P-2 SANITARY
 RISER: THE HORIZONTAL DRY VENT FOR THE GUEST HOUSE
 SHOWER IS NOT ALLOWED PER THE FOLLOWING.
  
 905.3 VENT CONNECTION TO DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
 EVERY DRY VENT CONNECTING TO A HORIZONTAL DRAIN SHALL
 CONNECT ABOVE THE CENTERLINE OF THE HORIZONTAL DRAIN
 PIPE.
  
 905.4 VERTICAL RISE OF VENT.
 EVERY DRY VENT SHALL RISE VERTICALLY TO A MINIMUM OF 6
 INCHES (152 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOD LEVEL RIM OF THE
 HIGHEST TRAP OR TRAPPED FIXTURE BEING VENTED.
 EXCEPTION: VENTS FOR INTERCEPTORS LOCATED OUTDOORS.
  
 2. SHEET P-1 PLUMBING PLAN AND SHEET P-2 SANITARY
 RISER: TWO-WAY CLEANOUTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE ADDITION
 AND GUEST HOUSE SANITARY SYSTEM PER THE FOLLOWING.
  
 708.3.5 BUILDING DRAIN AND BUILDING SEWER JUNCTION.
 THERE SHALL BE A CLEANOUT NEAR THE JUNCTION OF THE
 BUILDING DRAIN AND THE BUILDING SEWER. THE CLEANOUT
 SHALL BE EITHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE BUILDING WALL AND
 SHALL BE BROUGHT UP TO THE FINISHED GROUND LEVEL OR TO
 THE BASEMENT FLOOR LEVEL. AN APPROVED TWO-WAY CLEANOUT
 IS ALLOWED TO BE USED AT THIS LOCATION TO SERVE AS A
 REQUIRED CLEANOUT FOR BOTH THE BUILDING DRAIN AND
 BUILDING SEWER. THE CLEANOUT AT THE JUNCTION OF THE
 BUILDING DRAIN AND BUILDING SEWER SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED
 IF THE CLEANOUT ON A 3-INCH (76 MM) OR LARGER DIAMETER
 SOIL STACK IS LOCATED WITHIN A DEVELOPED LENGTH OF 10
 FEET (3048 MM) OF THE BUILDING DRAIN AND BUILDING SEWER
 CONNECTION. THE MINIMUM SIZE OF THE CLEANOUT AT THE
 JUNCTION OF THE BUILDING DRAIN AND BUILDING SEWER SHALL
 COMPLY WITH SECTION 708.7 .
  
 3. SHEET P-1 PLUMBING PLAN AND SHEET P-2 SANITARY
 RISER: PLEASE INDICATED THAT THE SANITARY CONNECTION
 FROM THE ADDITION AND GUEST HOUSE TO THE EXISTING
 SYSTEM SHALL CONNECT DOWNSTREAM OF THE EXISTING WET
 VENTED BATHROOM PER THE FOLLOWING.
  
 909.1 WET VENT PERMITTED.
 ANY COMBINATION OF FIXTURES WITHIN TWO BATHROOM GROUPS
 LOCATED ON THE SAME FLOOR LEVEL ARE PERMITTED TO BE
 VENTED BY A WET VENT. THE WET VENT SHALL BE CONSIDERED
 THE VENT FOR THE FIXTURES AND SHALL EXTEND FROM THE
 CONNECTION OF THE DRY VENT ALONG THE DIRECTION OF THE
 FLOW IN THE DRAIN PIPE TO THE MOST DOWNSTREAM FIXTURE
 DRAIN CONNECTION TO THE HORIZONTAL BRANCH DRAIN. ONLY
 THE FIXTURES WITHIN THE BATHROOM GROUPS SHALL CONNECT
 TO THE WET-VENTED HORIZONTAL BRANCH DRAIN. ANY
 ADDITIONAL FIXTURES SHALL DISCHARGE DOWNSTREAM OF THE
 WET VENT.

 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS, PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 AND REMOVE & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS NECESSARY. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
