 1) A RECORDED COPY OF THE NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT
 MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE A
 PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 2)IMPACT FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM
 BEACH COUNTY, PLANS STAMPED BY THEM AND
 COPY OF RECEIPT SUBMITTED TO CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
 BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 3) THE VALUE OF THE WORK FOR THE ADDITION HAS BEEN
 INCREASED TO $ 61515.00BASED ON ICC BUILDING
 VALUATION DATA. ADDITIONAL PERMIT FEES AND RADON FEES
 OF $1193.36 ARE DUE. THE PERMIT FEES ARE BASED ON THE
 COST OF CONSTRUCTION AT THE TIME THE PERMIT WAS APPLIED
 FOR WHICH IS $94.06 PER SQFT.
  
 4) TWO SETS OF SIGNED AND SEALED PLANS ARE REQUIRED.
 SOME OF THE DRAWINGS DO NOT HAVE THE EMBOSSED SEAL AND
 SOME HAVE THE ENGINEER'S TITLE BLOCK BUT ARE NOT SIGNED
 AND SEALED.
 SEE FS 471 AND FAC 61G15-23.002.
  
 5) SUBMIT ENERGY CALCULATIONS FOR THE ADDED LIVING
 SPACE AS REQUIRED BY 2004 FBC CHAPTER 13. THE ONES THAT
 WERE SUBMITTED ARE ON THE WRONG FORM, NEED TO BE SIGNED
 BY THE OWNER/AGENT AND ARE NOT LEGIBLE. SEE THE
 MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS.
  
 6) THE SECTION A-A ON A-1 SPECIFIES AN R-VALUE OF R-19
 FOR THE SINGLE ASSEMBLY CEILING. WHICH IS SHOWN WITH 2
 X 4 RAFTERS. R-19 INSULATION REQUIRES A MINIMUM 2 X 6
 ASSEMBLY. SEE FBC CHAPTER 13.
  
 7) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R302.1 EXTERIOR WALLS. EXTERIOR
 WALLS SEPARATED BY LESS THAN 6 FEET (1828 MM) SHALL
 HAVE NOT LESS THAN A ONE-HOUR FIRE-RESISTIVE RATING
 WITH EXPOSURE FROM BOTH SIDES. PROJECTIONS SHALL NOT
 EXTEND TO A POINT CLOSER THAN 4 FEET (1220 MM) FROM AN
 ADJACENT PROJECTION OR WALL.
 EXCEPTION : DETACHED GARAGES ACCESSORY TO A DWELLING
 LOCATED WITHIN 2 FEET (610 MM) OF A LOT LINE SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO HAVE ROOF EAVE PROJECTIONS NOT EXCEEDING 4
 INCHES (102 MM).
 PROJECTIONS EXTENDING INTO THE 6-FOOT (1829 MM)
 SEPARATION DISTANCE SHALL HAVE NOT LESS THAN 1-HOUR
 FIRE-RESISTIVE CONSTRUCTION ON THE UNDERSIDE. THE ABOVE
 PROVISIONS SHALL NOT APPLY TO WALLS WHICH ARE
 PERPENDICULAR TO A LINE EXTENDING FROM THE POINT FROM
 WHICH THE SEPARATION DISTANCE HAS BEEN MEASURED RUNNING
 AND PARALLEL TO THE PROPERTY LINE.
 EXCEPTION: TOOL AND STORAGE SHEDS, PLAYHOUSES AND
 SIMILAR STRUCTURES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PROVIDE WALL
 PROTECTION BASED ON LOCATION ON THE LOT. BECAUSE THE
 DISTANCE TO THE PROPERTY LINES IS LESS THAN 6 FEET,
 SHOW THAT THE DISTANCE TO STRUCTURES ON ADJACENT
 PROPERTY IS NOT LESS THAN 6 FEET.
  
 8 ) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R403.1.4 MINIMUM FOOTING
 DEPTH, R404.1.6 FOUNDATION HEIGHT ABOVE FINISH GRADE
 AND R319.1(5) PROTECTION AGAINST DECAY. PROVIDE
 DIMENSIONS FROM GRADE ON THE FOUNDATION SECTION THAT
 SHOWS COMPLIANCE. SEE PREVIOUS COMMENTS.
  
 9) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R301.1 DESIGN.
 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND ALL PARTS THEREOF, SHALL
 BE CONSTRUCTED TO SAFELY SUPPORT ALL LOADS, INCLUDING
 DEAD LOADS, LIVE LOADS, ROOF LOADS, FLOOD LOADS AND
 WIND LOADS AS PRESCRIBED BY THIS CODE. THE CONSTRUCTION
 OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES SHALL RESULT IN A SYSTEM
 THAT PROVIDES A COMPLETE LOAD PATH CAPABLE OF
 TRANSFERRING ALL LOADS FROM THEIR POINT OF ORIGIN
 THROUGH THE LOAD -RESISTING ELEMENTS TO THE FOUNDATION.
 PROVIDE DETAILS THAT SPECIFY THE CONNECTIONS USED TO
 COMPLY. SPECIFY THE CONNECTORS AT THE ROOF RIDGE IF
 ROOF IS FRAMED WITH RAFTERS RATHER THAN ENGINEERED
 TRUSSES AS SHOWN ON SECTION A-A ON SHEET A-1.
  
 10) PLEASE CLARIFY THE FRAMING OF THE ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR
 THE ADDITION AND THE GARAGE. ARE THESE 2 X 4 RAFTERS AT
 2' O.C. OR ENGINEERED TRUSSES? IF THESE ARE 2 X 4
 RAFTERS WITH THE CEILING ATTACHED DIRECTLY TO THE
 BOTTOMS OF THE RAFTERS, THE SPANS APPEAR TO BE TOO
 MUCH. SEE FBC TABLE R802.2.3.1(2). SPECIFY THE SPANS
 AND RAFTER LUMBER SPECIES AND GRADE. PROVIDE AN
 ANALYSIS SHOWING THAT THE ROOF SYSTEM IS CAPABLE OF
 WITHSTANDING THE UNIFORM AND LIVE LOADS.
  
 11) THE CONNECTORS SPECIFIED FOR THE RAFTERS (SIMPSON
 MST) DO NOT PROVIDE ANY LATERAL LOAD RESISTANCE AND
 WITH CATHEDRAL CEILINGS THERE IS NO CEILING DIAPHRAM.
 SPECIFY HOW THE STRUCTURE WILL RESIST THE LATERAL
 WINDLOADS. SEE FBC R801.2 AND CITY OF WPB AMENDMENTS TO
 FBC 106.1.2
  
 12) THE WINDOWS BESIDE THE FRONT AND REAR SWING DOORS
 ARE REQUIRED TO BE SAFETY GLAZING PER R308.1(6).
  
 13) SPECIFY THE EXTERIOR SOFFIT COVERING AT THE
 OVERHANGS. IF SOFFIT MATERIALS ARE VINYL OR ALUMINUM
 PRODUCT APPROVALS WILL BE REQUIRED.
  
 14) SUBMIT 2 COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 EXTERIOR SWING DOORS, THEWINDOW MULLIONS, THE ROOF
 COVERING MATERIAL, STORM PANELS AND ANY OTHER ITEMS
 REGULATED BY FAC RULE 9B-72.
  
 15) SUBMIT A KEY PLAN AND INSTALLATION SCHEDULE FOR THE
 STORM PANELS. SPECIFY THE MOUNT TYPE, THE ANCHOR TYPE,
 THE ANCHOR SPACING, EDGE DISTANCE, SPANS, ETC.
  
 16)PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED WITH
 PERMIT APPLICATION AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2003
 ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA
 PRODUCT APPROVAL SYSTEM. FOR INFORMATION
 PLEASE SEE THE STATE WEBSITE AT
 WWW.FLORIDABUILDING.ORG. PRODUCTS WITH
 STATEWIDE APPROVAL ARE REQUIRED TO BE
 SUBMITTED WITH A COVER SHEET THAT LISTS
 THE PRODUCT IDENTITY NUMBER FROM THE
 STATE.
  
 17)WPB ADMIN CODE 106.3* PRODUCT
 APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCT WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL
 FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 18) THE DETACHED GARAGE THAT IS CONVERTED TO LIVING
 SPACE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 SECTION 807.2 FOR WINDLOADS. SUBMIT 2 COPIES OF A
 SIGNED AND SEALED WINDLOAD ANALYSIS OF THE GARAGE FROM
 FLORIDA LICENSED ENGINEER.
