2007-05-03 09:25:181. IT HAS BEEN DECLARED ON THE PLANS, PAGE LS1.0.0 THAT
 THE BUILDING IS A MIXED OCCUPANCY BUILDING INSTEAD OF
 JUST AN OPEN PARKING GARAGE.
  
 2. NFPA 88A, THE STANDARTD FOR PARKING STRUCTURES
 DEFINES A PARKING STRUCTURE AS "A BUILDING, STRUCTURE,
 OR PORTION THEREOF USED FOR THE PARKING, STORAGE, OR
 BOTH OF MOTOR VEHICLES".
  
 3. THIS STANDARD FURTHER REQUIRES THAT INTERNAL AREAS
 NOT USED FOR PARKING SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH SMOKE
 RESISTANT WALLS WHICH DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE DECLARED ON
 THE PLANS.
  
 4. THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE REQUIRES THAT
 "ADDITIONS SHALL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF NEW
 CONSTRUCTION".
  
 5. THE MEANS OF EGRESS CHART ON PAGE LS1.0.0 APPEARS TO
 BE INCORRECT. THE TOTAL EGRESS CAPACITY OF 972 PERSONS
 APPEARS TO BE INCORRECT. PLEASE VERIFY INFORMATION ON
 THE PLANS.
  
 6. NOTE 16 ON PAGE LS1.0.0 IS INCORRECT. ALL CUTTING
 AND WELDING OPERATIONS TO COMPLY WITH NFPA 51B.
  
 7. NFPA 88A, FURTHER DEFINES AN OPEN PARKING STRUCTURE
 "IS A PARKING STRUCTURE THAT EACH PARKING LEVEL HAS
 WALL OPENINGS OPEN TO THE ATMOSPHERE FOR AN AREA NOT
 LESS THAN 0.4 FOR EACH LINEAR METER (1.4 FT.2 FOR EACH
 LINEAR FOOT ) OF ITS EXTERIOR PERIMETER. SUCH OPENINGS
 ARE DISTRIBUTED OVER 40 PERCENT OF THE BUILDING
 PERIMETER OR UNIFORMLY OVER TWO OPPOSING SIDES.
 INTERIOR WALL LINES AND COLUMN LINES ARE AT LEAST 20
 PERCENT OPEN, WITH OPENINGS DISTRIBUTED TO PROVIDE
 VENTIALTION".
  
 8. TACTILE SIGNAGE REQUIRED REQUIRED AT ALL EXIT
 DOORS.
  
 9. PLEASE DECLARE THE USES OF ALL ROOMS WITHIN THE
 GARAGE OFFICE AREA ON PAGE A2.1.0.
  
 10. PLEASE EXPLAIN PURPOSE OF JERSEY BARRIERS
 ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLANS. WHAT IMPACT IF ANY WILL THEY
 HAVE ON EXITING.
  
 11. STAIRWELL IDENTIFICATION SIGNS WILL BE REQUIRED.
 THESE SIGNS SHALL INDICATE FLOOR LLEVEL, STAIR
 IDENTITY, TERMINUS TOP AND BOTTOM.
  
 12. DOES THE EXISTING BUILDING HAVE THE ADDRESS AFFIXED
 TO IT. ON ONE ELEVATION IT APPEARS THAT THE ADDRESS
 EXISTS.
  
 13. PLEASE PROVIDE PRESCRIPTIVE STRENGTH REQUIREMENTS
 FOR THE NEW CABLE RAILING SYSTEM BEING PROPOSED AS

 CONNECTIONS SHOULD BE CHANGED TO ROOF MANIFOLDS.
  
 21. ALL EMPLOYEES NEED TO BE TRAINED AND DOCUMENTED IN
 THE USE OF PORTABLE FIRE EQUIPMENT AND THE TRANSMISSION
 OF ALARMS.
  
 22. NFPA 88A THE STANDARD FOR PARKING STRUCTURES DOES
 NOT REQUIRE AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS IN OPEN
 PARKING STRUCTURES. OTHER CODES MAY REQUIRE BE REQUIRE
 FIRE SPRINKLER PROTECTION.
