 APPROVED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM.
 EXCEPTION (2) ALLOWS AN AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM COMPLYING WITH NFPA 13R
 FOR BUILDINGS NOT EXCEEDING FOUR STORIES
 IN HEIGHT PROVIDED THE AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED
 AS AN ALTERNATE TO OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF
 THE CODE. (SEE 903.2) FBC 903.2 STATES
 THAT AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEMS
 INSTALLED IN LIEU OF OR AS AN ALTERNATE
 TO OTHER REQUIREMENTS, AS PERMITTED BY
 THIS CODE, SHALL BE CONSIDERED REQUIRED
 SYSTEMS AND SHALL COMPLY WITH NFPA 13.
 THIS MEANS THAT IN ORDER TO APPLY THE
 REDUCTION IN CORRIDOR FIRE RATING
 ALLOWED BY TABLE 704.2.4 TO 1/2 HOUR FOR
 FULLY SPRINKLERED BUILDINGS OR THE
 INCREASED TRAVEL DISTANCE OF 325' IN
 TABLE 1004 FOR SPRINKLERED BUILDINGS AN
 NFPA 13 SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS REQUIRED.
  
 10) THE BILLARD ROOM IS AN ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY WHICH REQUIRES A TWO HOUR
 TENANT FIRE SEPARATION. SEE FBC 704.1.1
 HOWEVER, FBC 704.1.2.3 ALLOWS A ONE HOUR
 OCCUPANCY SEPARATION.
  
 11) ALL FIRE RATED DOORS ARE REQUIRED TO
 HAVE APPROVED CLOSERS OR BE SELF
 CLOSING. SPECIFY CLOSERS FOR ALL RATED
 DOORS PER FBC 705.1.3.2.3. SPECIFY IN
 THE DOOR SCHEDULE ON A4.0.8 THAT DOOR #4
 IS REQUIRED TO HAVE APPROVED CLOSERS.
  
 12) A VERTICAL SECTION THROUGH THE TRASH
 CHUTE IS INDICATED AS 5 ON A4.0.10 THIS
 IS INCORRECT AS IT IS LOCATED ON DETAIL
 5 ON A4.0.10. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 13) THE TRASH CHUTE SECTION SHOWN ON
 SHEET A8.1.4 IS INCORRECTLY LABELED AS 4
 ON A4.0.7. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 14) PLEASE REVISE NEW NOTES ON A8.2.1
 AND A8.2.2 WHICH REFER TO THE HIGH
 VELOCITY HURRICANE ZONES AS REQUIRING
 IMPACT PROTECTION. THE CITY OF WEST PALM
 BEACH IS NOT IN THE HIGH VELOCITY
 HURRICANE ZONE, HOWEVER, WE ARE LOCATED
 IN THE WIND BOURNE DEBRIS REGION AND
 BECAUSE OF THIS MISSILE IMPACT
 PROTECTION OF EXTERIOR GLAZING IS
 REQUIRED. SEE 2001 FBC 1606.1.4.
  
 15) SUBMIT THE MANUFACTURER'S
 SPECS.(LISTING) AND PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THE FIRE RATED GLASS BLOCK.

 LOCATED IN FIRE RATED WALLS AND OPEN
 ONTO THE EGRESS CORRIDORS. THESE DOORS
 ARE REQUIRED TO BE FIRE RATED. I DO NOT
 BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE ANY FIRE RATED
 FULL LOUVERED DOORS AVAILABLE. SUBMIT
 MANUFACTURER'S SPECS. AND LISTING FOR
 THE DOORS YOU WILL BE USING.
  
 18) THE PRODCUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED FOR
 THE FULL LOUVERED DOORS REQUIRES A
 HURRICANE PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR THEM.
 SUBMIT A STATE PRODUCT APPROVAL, A KEY
 PLAN, AN INSTALLATION SCHEDULE AND A
 PRESTORM PREPARATION PLAN FOR BUILDING
 OFFICAL APPROVAL FOR THE STORM PANELS
 FOR THESE DOORS.
  
 19) SPECIFY THE LOCATIONS WHERE THE
 THERMA-TRU/ BENCHMARK DOORS WILL BE
 INSTALLED. THESE DOORS DO NOT HAVE A
 FIRE RATING.
  
 20) SUBMIT STATE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR
 THE ROOFING MATERIAL THAT WILL BE USED
 ON THE FLAT ROOF AREAS OF THE BUILDING.
 INDICATE THE SYSTEM LISTED IN THE

 SURE THAT THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE
 SELECTED PRODUCT ARE ADEQUATE.
