 WEST PALM BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
 BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 2) REVISE NOTE 11 UNDER PLAN NOTES ON
 C1. HURRICANE PANELS ARE REQUIRED IN THE
 CITY OF WPB WHICH IS NOT IN THE HVHZ,
 BUT IS IN THE WIND BOURNE DEBRIS REGION.
 SEE FBC 1606.1.4.
  
 3) REVISE NOTE 15 UNDER FRAMING NOTES ON
 C1. 3/8" HIGH RIB METAL LATH IS REQUIRED
 TO BE FASTENED AT EACH RIB (4"O.C.) PER
 ASTM C 1063.
  
 4) SPECIFY THE LENGTH/EMBED DEPTH OF THE
 1/2" A.B. USED TO FASTEN THE 2X6 GARAGE
 DOOR JAMB ON THE BUCK DETAIL ON A4.
  
 5) CLARIFY ON THE BUCK DETAIL ON A4 THAT
 THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR FRAME IS REQUIRED
 TO BE FASTENED THROUGH THE 1X BUCK INTO
 THE CONCRETE SUBSTRATE. FBC 1707.4.4.2
  
 6) REVISE THE TRUSS CONNECTOR SCHEDULE
 ON A6. THE FBC DOES NOT ALLOW THE ONE-
 THIRD INCREASE ON THE STEEL CALCULATIONS
 SEE FBC 1609.4.3 AND THE 2003 USP
 CATALOG. SOME OF THE CONNECTORS ARE
 SPECIFIED WITH MORE FASTENERS THAN THE
 AMOUNT LISTED IN THE CATALOG. INCREASING
 THE NUMBER OF FASTENERS TO MORE THAN
 SPECIFIED IN THE CATALOG WILL NOT
 INCREASE THE UPLIFT VALUES BECAUSE THE
 STEEL OF THE CONNECTOR WILL FAIL.
  
 7) REVISE DETAIL 15 ON A5. THE MSH
 CONNECTOR SPECIFIED IS A STRAP HANGER
 AND IS NOT DESIGNED OR TESTED TO BE USED
 OVER THE TRUSS AS A HOLD DOWN. THE
 MAXIMUM NUMBER OF FASTENERS FOR A "USP"
 TA14R IS (7). THE UPLIFT FOR DOUBLE
 STRAPS IS 1720#. SEE 2003 USP CATALOG.
  
 8) REVISE DETAIL 14 ON A5. THE MAXIMUM
 NUMBER OF FASTENERS IS (7). REVIEW THE
 UPLIFT VALUE SPECIFIED.
  
 9) REVISE DETAIL 8 ON A5. THE MSTA18
 STRAP HAS A MAXIMUM UPLIFT VALUE OF
 1065# WITH (7) 10D NAILS EACH MEMBER PER
 2003 USP CATALOG. LARGER NAILS OR MORE
 NAILS THAN SPECIFIED IN THE CATALOG WILL
 NOT INCREASE THE UPLIFT VALUE. NOTE: THE
 TOTAL NUMBER OF HOLES IN THE STRAP IS 14
  
 10) DETAIL 6 ON A5 SPECIFIES A HANGER
 THAT IS FASTENED TO A MASONRY WALL WITH
 (2) 5/8" THROUGH BOLTS ON EACH SIDE.
 PLEASE CLARIFY.
  
 11) DETAIL 3 ON A5 SHOWS A TRUSS TO CONC
 TIE BEAM CONNECTION. HOWEVER,THERE IS NO
 BEAM AT THE LOCATION INDICATED ON THE
 FRAMING PLAN.
  
 12) THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS DO NOT
 INCLUDE THE AREA OF CEILINGS THAT ARE
 COFFERED OR THE KNEE WALLS WHERE THE
 CEILING CHANGES ELEVATIONS. SEE FBC
 CHAPTER 13 SECTION 604.1.A.1.
  
 13) SUBMIT INSTALLATION SCHEDULE AND
 KEY PLAN FOR STORM PANELS.
  
 14) PROVIDE (2) CURRENT AND COMPLETE
 COPIES OF SBCCI OR METRO-DADE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS FOR 30" DIAMETER FIXED GLASS
 WINDOW.
  
 15) THE SITE SPECIFIC PRODUCT APPROVAL
 FORMS ARE REQUIRED TO BE SIGNED, SEALED
 AND DATED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD AS
 WELL AS THE ENGINEER CERTIFYING THE
 PRODUCT. A SEALED LETTER FROM THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD REFERENCING THE
 SPECIFIC PRODUCT AND SITE IS ACCEPTABLE.
 SITE SPECIFIC PRODUCT APPROVALS (WHICH
 ARE SEALED DOCUMENTS) WITH WHITEOUT
 AND CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  
 16) SUBMIT SOIL BORING TEST REPORT AS
 REQUIRED BY CITY AMEND. TO FBC 1804.2.2.
