 CODE: FBC 7TH EDITION (2020) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE:
 LEVEL 1 ALTERATION. SEC. 602 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING.
 SEC. 702.6 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW WORK SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE MATERIALS AND METHODS REQUIREMENTS IN
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 1- FLAT ROOF FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL FL16709-R10
 SUBMITTED CAN NOT BE USED FOR THIS BUILDING. THIS
 BUILDING IS LOCATED IN EXPOSURE D WITH A WIND SPEED OF
 170MPH. ACCORDING TO BASE SHEET ATTACHMENT SYSTEM ON
 PAGE 25 OF 25 THIS PRODUCT APPROVAL CAN NOT BE USED FOR
 ROOF ZONE #3. IT SAYS N/A FOR ROOF ZONE 3.
 THE SUBMITTED ENGINEERING CALCULATIONS CAN NOT BE USED
 EITHER BECAUSE THE PRODUCT APPROVAL DOESN'T ALLOW
 ENHANCED FASTENING.
 NEED TO PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL WITH AN ASSEMBLY THAT
 MEETS OR EXCEEDS THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR ALL ROOF
 ZONES OR THAT ALLOWS ENHANCED FASTENING.
 F.A.C. 61G20.3.001. SEC. 1609.1 FBC-BUILDING.
  
 2- ROOF TO WALL CONNECTIONS:
 THE BUILDING HAS A VALUATION OF MORE THAN $300,000.
 NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE ROOF TO WALL CONNECTIONS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 706.8 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING.
 STORM ROOFING, INC LETTER SUBMITTED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
 THE ESTIMATE FOR THE ROOF TO WALL EVALUATION AND
 INSTALLATION OF CONNECTIONS AT GABLE ENDS OR ALL
 CORNERS HAS TO BE DONE BY LICENSED GENERAL OR BUILDING
 CONTRACTOR NOT BY ROOFING CONTRACTOR.
 ANOTHER OPTION IS TO SHOW THAT THE EXISTING ROOF TO
 WALL CONNECTIONS MEET OR EXCEED FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
