 DENIED BY BUILDING
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THIS MEMBRANE STRUCTURE WILL BE ATTACHED TO AND A
 PART OF A BUILDING THAT IS OF TYPE IIB CONSTRUCTION AND
 IS FULLY SPRINKLERED. ACCORDING TO FBC 3102.3,
 NON-COMBUSTIBLE FRAME STRUCTURES COVERED BY AN APPROVED
 MEMBRANE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 3102.3.1 SHALL BE
 CLASSIFIED AS TYPE IIB CONSTRUCTION. THERE IS AN EXIT
 PATH OF TRAVEL PASSES THROUGH THIS MEMBRANE STRUCTURE
 WHICH CONTAINS TABLES AND CHAIRS AND IS A PART OF THE
 RESTAURANT. FBC SECTION 903.2.1.2 REQUIRES THIS PORTION
 OF THE BUILDING TO BE FIRE SPRINKLERED. SUBMIT PLANS
 THAT SHOW COMPLIANCE.
  
 2) THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THE STEEL TRUSSES WILL BE
 ATTACHED TO WOOD BACKING OR OTHER. IF WOOD BACKING IS
 USED IT IS REQUIRED TO BE FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED PER
 FBC 603.1.
  
 3) THE PLANS STATE THAT THE FABRIC COVERS ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE REMOVED WHEN WINDSPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO EXCEED 75
 MPH. SPECIFY WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING THE
 FABRIC COVERS. SUBMIT TWO SETS OF DETAILED AWNING
 REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOGRAPHS/DRAWINGS THAT
 SHOW HOW THIS IS DONE IN TERMS THAT A LAYMAN WILL
 UNDERSTAND. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO BE PROVIDED TO
 THE PROPERTY OWNER, OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE OR LESSEE.

 4) THE PLANS SHOW FABRIC ROLL UP SIDE PANELS. WILL
 THESE PANELS BE ROLLED UP AND REMAIN IN PLAN ON THE
 STRUCTURAL FRAME DURING PERIODS OF HIGH WINDS? IF SO
 WAS THIS CONSIDERED BY THE ENGINEER WHEN THE WINDLOAD
 ANALYSIS WAS PREFORMED? FBC 107.2.1
  
 5) SEPARATE PERMITS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE FIRE
 SPRINKLERS AND THE ELECTRICAL WORK. FBC 105
  
 6) THE PLANS FOR THE RESTAURANT BUILD OUT, PERMIT #
 19110659, STATE THAT THE EXTERIOR CANOPY WILL BE
 DESIGNED BY A DELEGATE ENGINEER. THE PLANS ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD.
 A SHOP DRAWING REVIEW STAMP IS REQUIRED ON THE PLANS.

 7) SINCE THE MEMBRANE STRUCTURE IS STRUCTURALLY
 ATTACHED TO THE EXISTING BUILDING. THE EXISTING
 STRUCTURE NEEDS TO BE EVALUATED TO DETERMINE IF THE
 ADDITIONAL LOADS ( WINDLOADS, ETC.) FROM THE MEMBRANE
 STRUCTURE WILL HAVE A NEGATIVE AFFECT ON IT. FBC 1604
  
 8) WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A
 RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE
 CITY RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE INSERT
 CORRECTED PLAN SHEETS INTO THE SETS, REMOVE THE
 PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS AND MARK VOID ON THEM, AND
