 OTHER FORM OF JUSTIFICATION FOR REDUCING SHEAR WALL

 A-1.1: ARCHITECT IS SPECIFYING IMPACT INSULATION (71
 DB) AND SOUND TRANSMISSION CONTACT (71 DB). TYPICALLY
 THIS RATING IS ONLY ACQUIRED WHEN USING SOUND
 INSULATION ASSEMBLIES THAT HAVE A SUSPENDED ACOUSTICAL
 CEILING. SEE TEST REPORTS. TYPICALLY BUILDINGS IN THIS
 AREA DON'T HAVE THE SUSPENDED ACOUSTICAL CEILING IN ALL

 DEVELOPED INDEX TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84
 OR UL 723 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 720.1 OF FBC 6TH EDITION
 (2017).
  
 B) PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF THE SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 90 AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 1207.2 OF FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 C) PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF THE IMPACT INSULATION CLASS
 (IIC) TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492 AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 1207.3 OF FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 NOTE: TEST SAMPLE TO MATCH BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. THERE
 ARE TESTS FOR 6" OR 8" CONCRETE SLABS WITH OR WITHOUT
 ACOUSTICAL CEILING. TYPICALLY THERE ARE NOT SUSPENDED
