 SHOWER, A NEW LAVATORY AND A NEW WATER CLOSET ARE TO BE
 INSTALLED. IS IT YOUR INTENT TO ATTEMPT TO COMPLY WITH
 THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE TO
 THE MAXIMUM EXTENT FEASIBLE? CLARIFY ON THE PLANS. IF
 SO, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR SHOWERS, LAVATORIES AND WATER
 CLOSETS FROM THE 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE AND ARE
 LISTED AS GUIDELINES FOR THIS PROJECT. I UNDERSTAND
 THAT IT WILL BE PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLY WITH
 SOME OF THESE REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSIBILITY. I AM
 ASSUMING THE NEW WATER CLOSET AND THE NEW LAVATORY ARE
 REMAINING AT THEIR EXISTING LOCATIONS AND CONNECTING TO
 EXISTING WATER AND DRAIN LINES. IF SO, PLEASE NOTE SUCH
 ON THE PLANS. THE PLUMBING CODE ITEMS LISTED IN
 COMMENTS #1, #8 AND # 12 ARE MANDATORY.
  
 1) SHOW THE LENGTH AND WIDTH DIMENSIONS OF THE NEW
 SHOWER ON THE PLANS. THE MINIMUM WIDTH OF THE SHOWER
 SHALL BE 30 INCHES PER 2014 FBC-PLUMBING SEC.417.4 AND
 SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 900 SQUARE INCHES INTERIOR CROSS
 -SECTIONAL AREA.
 2) THE PLANS NOTE THAT THE SHOWER IS TO BE HANDICAPPED
 ACCESSIBLE. THE SHOWER APPEARS TO BE OF A STANDARD
 ROLL-IN TYPE HANDICAPPED SHOWER COMPARTMENT. IF THAT IS
 THE INTENT, THE SHOWER SHOULD BE A MINIMUM OF 30 INCHES
 WIDE BY A MINIMUM OF 60 INCHES LONG PER THE FBC-ACCESS.
 SEC.608.2.2. CLARIFY.
 3) A 30 INCH WIDE MINIMUM BY 60 INCH LONG MINIMUM
 CLEARANCE SHOULD BE PROVIDED ADJACENT TO THE OPEN FACE
 OF THE SHOWER COMPARTMENT. REFER TO 2014 FBC-ACCESS.
 SEC.608.2.2.1 AAND FIGURE 608.2.1.
 4) SHOW THE LOCATION OF THE SHOWER CONTROLS ON THE
 PLANS. WHERE A LAVATORY IS INSTALLED ON ONE 30 INCH
 WIDE MINIMUM SIDE OF THE CLEARANCE AS NOTED IN COMMENT
 #3, THE SHOWER CONTROLS SHALL NOT BE LOCATED ON THE
 SAME SIDE AS THE LAVATORY. 2014 FBC- ACCESS.,
 SEC.608.2.2.1 - SEE EXCEPTION.
 5) PROVIDE DETAILS FOR GRAB BARS AND REINFORCEMENT.
 THEY SHALL BE INSTALLED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2014 FBC
 SECS 608.3, 608.3.2.
 6) A SHOWER SPRAY UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED IN COMPLIANCE
 WITH 2014 FBC-ACCESS.SEC. 608.6.
 7) THE SHOWER THRESHOLD SHALL BE A 1/2 INCH HIGH
 MAXIMUM PER THE 2014 FBC - ACCESS. SEC.608.7 AND SEC.
 303.
 8) THE TILE WALL AREA OF THE SHOWER COMPARTMENT SHALL
 BE CONSTRUCTED TO A HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 6 FEET ABOVE
 THE ROOM FLOOR LEVEL AND NOT LESS THAN 70 INCHES WHERE
 MEASURED FROM THE SHOWER COMPARTMENT FLOOR AT THE
 DRAIN. 2014 FBC-PLUMBING SEC.417.4.1.
 9) THE HEIGHT OF THE LAVATORY SHALL BE LOCATED A
 MAXIMUM OF 34 INCHES ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR TO THE
 LAVATORY RIM. 2014 FBC_ ACCESS. SEC.606.3.
 10) EXPOSED WATER SUPPLY AND DRAIN PIPES UNDER THE
 LAVATORIES SHALL BE INSULATED OR OTHERWISE CONFIGURED
 TO PROTECT AGAINST CONTACT. 2014 FBC-ACCESS. SEC.606.5.
 11) THE SEAT HEIGHT OF A HANDICAPPED WATER CLOSET SHALL
 BE 17 INCHES MINIMUM AND 19 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE
 FINISH FLOOR MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE SEAT. IN
 RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNITS THE MINIMUM HEIGHT IS
 PERMITTED TO BE 15 INCHES MINIMUM AND 19 INCHES
 MAXIMUM.
 12) THE SHOWER VALVE SHALL BE A BALANCED-PRESSURE,
 THERMOSTATIC OR COMBINATION
 BALANCED-PRESSURE/THERMOSTATIC VALVE PERR THE 2014
