 PERMIT APPLICATION UNDER THE BOX #4 FOR LOCATION OF
 PROJECT LIST 324 DATURA ST. WRITTEN IN IS LOBBY. THE
 ARCHITECTS SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES RENOVATION WORK OF
 SOME TENANT SPACES AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW STAIRS AND
 RAILINGS AT 2ND FLOOR/ 3RD FLOOR ATRIUM. DISCREPANCY,
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. 1067.2.1.3.
  
 2) THE COVER SHEET LIST THIS BUILDING TYPE AS A TYPE
 IB- UNPROTECTED/ SPRINKLERED. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2014
 FBC-B TABLE 601 BUILDING TYPE IB IS PROTECTED 2 HRSFOR
 ALL STRUCTURAL MEMBERS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ROOF
 CONSTRUCTION AND SECONDARY MEMBERS WHICH ARE TO BE 1
 HR. ALSO SEE FOOTNOTES B & C.
  
 3) NEITHER THE COVERSHEET NOR SHEET LS-1 SHOW UNDER THE

 301.1. THE REPAIR, ALTERATION, CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY,
 ADDITION OR RELOCATION OF ALL EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE METHODS LISTED IN SECTIONS
 301.1.1 THROUGH 301.1.3 AS SELECTED BY THE APPLICANT.
 APPLICATION OF A METHOD SHALL BE THE SOLE BASIS FOR
 ASSESSING THE COMPLIANCE OF WORK PERFORMED UNDER A
 SINGLE PERMIT UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE CODE
 OFFICIAL.
  
 4) CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED. THE COVERSHEET INDICATES
 UNDER SCOPE OF WORK THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW STAIR AND

 SECTION 4.5.1 OF ASCE 7. GLASS HANDRAIL ASSEMBLIES AND
 GUARDS SHALL ALSO COMPLY WITH SECTION 2407.

 TYPE 1 OR 2?
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. 404.6 ENCLOSURE OF
 ATRIUMS. ATRIUM SPACES SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM ADJACENT
 SPACES BY A 1-HOUR FIRE BARRIER CONSTRUCTED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 707 OR A HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY
 CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 711, OR BOTH.
 DOORS WILL ALSO NEED TO BE IDENTIFIED FOR FIRE RATINGS
