 INDICATE THE TEST PRESSURE (ABOVE 200 PSI) NEEDED AT
 THESE FLOORS.
  
 SHEET 2 OF 11:
 1) PLAN INDICATES A HYDROSTATIC TEST PRESSURE OF 200
 PSI. SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED AT 50 PSI ABOVE WORKING
 PRESSURE; THEREFORE, THE 1ST FLOOR SHOULD BE TESTED AT
 254 PSI (PUMP CHURN 148 PSI, PLUS CITY SUPPLY 56 PSI,
 PLUS 50 PSI ABOVE WORKING). THE 254 PSI HYDRO TEST
 PRESSURE WILL APPLY TO THE SYSTEM FEED MAINS AND
 STANDPIPES. THE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS WILL BE PROTECTED BY
 A PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE SET TO A MAXIMUM PRESSURE OF
 165 PSI; THEREFORE, THE CROSS MAINS, BRANCHLINES AND
 SPRINKLERS SHALL BE PRESSURE TESTED TO AT LEAST 215
 PSI.
  
 2) ORDINARY HAZARD ROOM MECHANICAL CHILLER #182 HAS
 SEVERAL SPRINKLERS WITH COVERAGES EXCEEDING 130 SQUARE
 FEET.
  
 3) THE CENTER NORTH SPRINKLER IN MULTIPURPOSE #125 IS
 LOCATED IN THE 10'-8" CEILING. THE ADJACENT 9'-8"
 SOFFIT TO THE NORTH OBSTRUCTS THE SPRAY OF THIS
 SPRINKLER PER NFPA 13 TABLE 8.6.5.1.2.
  
 4) TREATMENT #140 HAS A SPRINKLER LOCATED IN THE UPPER
 9'-0" CEILING; HOWEVER, THE ADJACENT 8'-0" SOFFITS
 OBSTRUCT THE SPRAY OF THE SPRINKLER ON THREE SIDES PER
 NFPA 13 TABLE 8.6.5.1.2.
  
 GENERAL OBSERVATION:
 1) RESIDENTIAL SIDEWALL SPRINKLERS ARE TYPICALLY
 INSTALLED 1"- 6" BELOW THE CEILING. THE RESIDENTIAL
 SIDEWALL SPRINKLERS THAT WERE SUBMITTED ALLOW THE
 SIDEWALL SPRINKLERS TO BE INSTALLED UP TO 12" BELOW THE
 CEILING. THIS SHOULD BE NOTED ON ALL PLANS FOR THE
 INSTALLER, OTHERWISE SPRINKLERS INSTALLED 1" - 6" BELOW
 THE CEILING WILL BE OBSTRUCTED BY SOFFITS IN SEVERAL
 DWELLING UNITS SUCH AS UNIT #107 (UNIT TYPE B1A), UNIT
 #106 (UNIT TYPE C3), UNIT #220 (UNIT TYPE C3).
  
 SHEET 5 OF 11:
 1) ARCHITECTURAL AND SPRINKLER PLANS DO NOT INDICATE A
 CEILING HEIGHT IN UNIT #216 (UNIT TYPE E2) AND UNIT
 #218 (UNIT TYPE D2). THESE UNITS FEATURE BEDROOM
 SOFFITS THAT MAY OBSTRUCT THE SIDEWALL SPRINKLER SPRAY
 NFPA 13 TABLE 8.10.7.1.3. THIS SEEMS TO BE NEAR TYPICAL
 CONDITIONS ON EACH FLOOR ABOVE.
  
 SHEET 8 OF 11:

 HOWEVER, FIRE PUMP ISOMETRIC AND PUMP BILL OF MATERIALS
 HAVE BEEN PROVIDED.
  
 SUBMIT PRODUCT DATA FOR FIRE PUMP, JOCKEY PUMP,
 CONTROLLERS, PRESSURE REDUCING VALVES, PIPE, FITTINGS,
 ETC.
  
 1ST FLOOR PLANS ARE NOT SCALABLE; HOWEVER, PLANS

 DISCHARGE SIDE OF THE PRESSURE-REDUCING VALVE SET TO
 OPERATE AT A PRESSURE NOT EXCEEDING 175 PSI.
  
 2ND FLOOR: SPRINKLERS LOCATED IN THE HIGH CEILING OF
 LIVING/LIBRARY ROOM #121 NEED TO BE SUPPLIED FROM THE
 1ST FLOOR SPRINKLER SYSTEM SEEING THAT THE SPRINKLERS
 ARE PROTECTING THE FLOOR AREA OF THE 1ST FLOOR,
 OTHERWISE FIREFIGHTERS MAY INCORRECTLY ASSUME THE FIRE
 IS LOCATED ON THE 2ND FLOOR WHEN THE FLOW SWITCH
 OPERATES.
  
 10TH FLOOR: THE HYDRAULIC CALCULATION NODES DO NOT
 MATCH THE HYDRAULIC NODES ON THE PLANS. FOR EXAMPLE,
 HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS INDICATE FLOWING NODES #1001 -
 #1005; HOWEVER, THE PLANS SHOW NODES IN THE 300'S AND
 3000'S.

 4.14.6.3.2, THE DISTANCE OF THE FIRE PUMP SUCTION
 FLANGE AND ANY ADJACENT SUCTION PIPE ELBOW/TEE FLANGE
 SHALL BE SEPARATED BY AT LEAST 10 PIPE DIAMETERS WHEN
 THE ELBOW/TEE HAS A CENTERLINE PLANE PARALLEL TO A
 HORIZONTAL SPLIT-CASE PUMP SHAFT. NOTE: THE CODE
 REQUIREMENTS HAVE NOT CHANGED IN THE LATEST EDITION OF
 THE STANDARD; HOWEVER, DIAGRAMS OF CORRECT/INCORRECT
 SUCTION PIPE INSTALLATIONS HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN FIGURE
 A4.14.6 OF NFPA 20 - 2013 EDITION.
