 1. RATIONALE FOR EXPOSURE B NOT CLEAR. THE DEFAULT
 EXPOSURE IS C PER FBC AND ASCE7-10. THERE IS A LARGE
 OPEN AREA (APPROXIMATELY 400' WIDE X 1700' LONG) IN THE
 UPWIND DIRECTION, SOUTHEAST. IT APPEARS THAT THIS
 "PATCH CONDITION" WHICH IS IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THIS
 STRUCTURE WOULD CREATE AN EXPOSURE C CONDITION. REVISE
 PLAN OR CLARIFY (USING ASCE7-10 OR FBC CODE OR
 COMMENTARY LANGUAGE, WITH CITATION NUMBERS).
  
 2. PROPOSED DESIGN PRESSURES ARE +47.6 / -63.4. THIS
 DOES NOT STATE WHETHER THIS IS ASD OR ULTIMATE.
 ENGINEER MAY CONTACT ME TO DISCUSS THE IMPACT ON THIS
 (AND OTHER) JOBS, FBC 5TH EDITION RESIDENTIAL 301.
 PRESSURES MAY REMAIN "AS IS" BUT COMPLIANCE WITH THESE
 PRESSURES (AND INCREASED PRESSURES IF CHANGED TO
 EXPOSURE C) WOULD BE REQUIRED. UPON REQUEST, DESIGN
 PRESSURES PER THE TABLES IN FBC/ASCE7-10 CAN BE
 PROVIDED.
  
 3. "REGULAR TAPCONS" ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN THE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL. CRETE FLEX PROPOSED ON THE INSTALLATION
 SCHEDULE. 12" / 8" IS HIGHLIGHTED, BUT 12" / 12" ANCHOR
 SPACING PRPOSED.
  
 4. MOUNTING TYPE (PER INSTALLATION SCHEDULE) IS
 WINGNUT. THE NAMING CONVENTION ON THIS PRODUCT APPROVAL
 IS (FOR EXAMPLE) : 2 (TOP), 2(BOTTOM), 6(BOTTOM). THESE
 ARE THE ONES HIGHLIGHTED ON THE PRODUCT APPROVAL. THE
 ONES HIGHLIGHTED REQUIRED CONCRETE SUBSTRATE (FORMED
 AND POURED OR LINTEL). CBS STRUCTURES ARE TYPICALLY
 CONCRETE ON THE TOP, BLOCK ON THE BOTTOM. IT APPEARS
 THAT A DIFFERENT MOUTING TYPE (OR DIFFERENT FASTENER,
 OR BOTH) IS REQUIRED.
  
 5. VALUE APPEARS LOW. PROVIDE
 RECEIPTS/INVOICES/MATERIAL COST EVIDENCE TO JUSTIFY THE
 VALUE OF $1000 FOR THREE NON IMPACT WINDOWS WITH
 ALUMINUM STORM PANELS.
  
 6. SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS, SIZE 23, IN THE BEDROOMS ARE
 PROPOSED. REVISE THE PLAN TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (PER
 FBC 5TH EDITION EXISTING BUILDING 704.1, RESIDENTIAL
 310):
  
 STATE WHAT TYPE OF WINDOW IS THERE NOW IN THE BEDROOMS
 - AWNING, CASEMENT, SINGLE HUNG?
  
 STATE WHAT THE EXISTING CLEAR OPENING DIMENSIONS ARE.
 CLEAR OPENING IS THE OPENING WHICH EXISTS WHEN THE
 WINDOW IS FULLY OPEN.
  
 STATE WHAT THE PROPOSED CLEAR OPENING DIMENSIONS ARE.
 THIS CAN BE OBTAINED FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
