 DOORS TO TENANT SPACES IN GROUP B SHALL BE PERMITTED TO
 BE ELECTROMAGNETICALLY LOCKED IF EQUIPPED WITH LISTED
 HARDWARE THAT
 INCORPORATES A BUILT-IN SWITCH AND MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS BELOW:
  
 1. THE LISTED HARDWARE THAT IS AFFIXED TO THE DOOR LEAF
 HAS AN OBVIOUS METHOD OF OPERATION THAT IS READILY
 OPERATED UNDER ALL LIGHTING CONDITIONS.
  
 2. THE LISTED HARDWARE IS CAPABLE OF BEING OPERATED
 WITH ONE HAND.
  
 3. OPERATION OF THE LISTED HARDWARE RELEASES TO THE
 ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK AND UNLOCKS THE DOOR IMMEDIATELY.
  
 4. LOSS OF POWER TO THE LISTED HARDWARE AUTOMATICALLY

 FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF EACH OCCUPANCY
 SHALL APPLY TO THE BUILDING. PER FBC SECTION 508.2
 AGGREGATE ACCESSORY OCCUPANCIES SHALL NOT OCCUPY MORE
 THAN TEN PERCENT IN WHICH THEY ARE LOCATED.
  
 PER SECTION 6.1.14.1.2, WHERE EXIT ACCESS FROM AN
 OCCUPANCY TRAVERSES ANOTHER OCCUPANCY, THE MULTIPLE
 OCCUPANCY SHALL BE TREATED AS A MIXED OCCUPANCY.
  
 SHEET A -1.0 - FOR DOOR #820 OCCUPANCIES WITH AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD OF 100 OR MORE PERSONS, PANIC HARDWARE
 SHALL BE PROVIDED ON DOORS TO RELEASE THE LOCK/LATCH.
 NO OTHER LOCKS OR LATCHES ARE PERMITTED THAT WOULD NOT
 BE RELEASED BY THE PANIC HARDWARE.
  
 SHEET E -1.0 PER SECTION 7.2.1.6.2, ACCESS-CONTROLLED
 EGRESS DOORS ARE PERMITTED PROVIDED THAT ALL SEVEN OF
 THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE MET:
 1.A SENSOR SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE EGRESS SIDE,
 ARRANGED TO DETECT AN OCCUPANT APPROACHING DOORS THAT
 ARE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS UPON
 DETECTION OF AN APPROACHING OCCUPANT OR LOSS OF POWER
 TO THE SENSOR.
 2.LOSS OF POWER TO THE PART OF THE ACCESS CONTROL
 SYSTEM THAT LOCKS THE DOORS SHALL AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK
 THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS.
 3.THE DOORS SHALL BE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE
 DIRECTION OF EGRESS FROM A MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE
 LOCATED VERTICALLY 40 TO 48 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR AND
 WITHIN 60 INCHES HORIZONTALLY OF THE SECURED DOORS.
 4.THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL BE READILY ACCESSIBLE
 AND CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BY A SIGN THAT READS PUSH TO
 EXIT.
 5.WHEN OPERATED, THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL RESULT
 IN DIRECT INTERRUPTION OF POWER TO THE LOCK,
 INDEPENDENT OF THE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRONICS,
 AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR NOT LESS THAN
 30 SECONDS.
 6.ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
 7.ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM
 OR AUTOMATIC DETECTION SYSTEM SHALL AUTOMATICALLY
 UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS, AND THE
 DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
 HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
