 EXCEEPTION 1 & 3, SEE BELOW:
 EXCEPTION # 1 A BUILDING OR TENANT SPACE USED FOR
 ASSEMBLY PURPOSES WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF LESS THAN 50
 PERSONS SHALL BE CLASSIFIED AS A GROUP B OCCUPANCY.
 EXCEPTION # 3 A ROOM OR SPACE USED FOR ASSEMBLY
 PURPOSES THAT IS LESS THAN 750 SQUARE FEET (70 M2) IN
 AREA AND ACCESSORY TO ANOTHER OCCUPANCY SHALL BE
 CLASSIFIED AS A GROUP B OCCUPANCY OR AS PART OF THAT
 OCCUPANCY.
  
 1B) WITH THE TRAINING ROOM BEING AN A3 OCCUPANCY WITH
 THE BUILDING BEING EQUIPED WITH FIRE SPRINKLERS TABLE
 508.4 WILL REQUIRE THE SURROUNDING WALLS TO HAVE A 1
 HOUR OCCUPANCY SEPERATION IF THE DESIGNER WISHES TO USE

 OPPOSITE DIRECTION. 2010 FBC-B 1008.1.2. DOORS SHALL
 SWING IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS TRAVEL WHERE SERVING
 AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 50 OR MORE PERSONS OR A GROUP H
 OCCUPANCY.

 OCCUPANCY. FOR MIXED USE OCCUPANCIES, THE MOST
 STRINGENT FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF EACH
 OCCUPANCY SHALL APPLY. BECAUSE THE ASSEMBLY SPACES MUST
 USE THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCY EGRESS ROUTES AND ENTIRE

 THE PLANS INDICATE A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY ON THE COVER
 SHEET; HOWEVER, THE LARGE TRAINING ROOM #116 IS AN
 ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY. PROVIDE OCCUPANT LOAD BREAKDOWNS
 FOR EACH AREA.
  
 EVERY ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY ROOM NOT HAVING FIXED SEATS
 SHALL HAVE THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE ROOM POSTED IN A
 CONSPICUOUS PLACE NEAR THE MAIN EXIT FROM THE ROOM.
 SIGNS SHALL BE DURABLE AND INDICATE THE NUMBER OF
 OCCUPANTS PERMITTED FOR EACH ROOM.
  
 THE DOORS IN THE LARGE TRAINING ROOM #116 ARE SWINGING
 AGAINST THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. DOOR IS REQUIRED TO SWING
 IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS TRAVEL FOR AN OCCUPANT LOAD
 OF 50 OR GREATER PERSONS PER SECTION 7.2.1.4.2 OF THE
 FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE: NFPA 101 - LIFE SAFETY
 CODE.
  
 FOR ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCIES WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 100
 OR MORE PERSONS, PANIC HARDWARE SHALL BE PROVIDED ON
 DOORS TO RELEASE THE LOCK/LATCH. NO OTHER LOCKS OR
 LATCHES ARE PERMITTED THAT WOULD NOT BE RELEASED BY THE
 PANIC HARDWARE. AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PANIC HARDWARE, THE

 EDITION 2009 ALLOWS ACCESS CONTROLLED EGRESS DOORS
 PROVIDED THAT ALL SEVEN OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE
 MET:
 1. A SENSOR SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE EGRESS SIDE,
 ARRANGED TO DETECT AN OCCUPANT APPROACHING DOORS THAT
 ARE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS UPON
 DETECTION OF AN APPROACHING OCCUPANT OR LOSS OF POWER
 TO THE SENSOR.
 2. LOSS OF POWER TO THE PART OF THE ACCESS CONTROL
 SYSTEM THAT LOCKS THE DOORS SHALL AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK
 THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS.
 3. THE DOORS SHALL BE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE
 DIRECTION OF EGRESS FROM A MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE
 LOCATED VERTICALLY 40 TO 48 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR AND
 WITHIN 60 INCHES HORIZONTALLY OF THE SECURED DOORS.
 4. THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL BE READILY
 ACCESSIBLE AND CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BY A SIGN THAT READS
 PUSH TO EXIT.
 5. WHEN OPERATED, THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL
 RESULT IN DIRECT INTERRUPTION OF POWER TO THE LOCK,
 INDEPENDENT OF THE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRONICS,
 AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR NOT LESS THAN
 30 SECONDS.
 6. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
 7. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER
 SYSTEM OR AUTOMATIC DETECTION SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
  
 INDICATE IF THE EXISTING STAIR LOCATED AT THE SOUTWEST
 CORNER OF THE SUITE IS AN EXIT STAIR OR JUST A
 MONUMENTAL STAIR. NO STAIRWELL ENTRY DOOR COULD BE
 LOCATED ON THE PLANS.
  
 NOTE: SEPARATE PLANS AND PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE
 INSTALLATION OR MODIFICATION OF THE FIRE SPRINKLER
 SYSTEM AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.
