 OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE BUILDING,
 NOT TWO. THE TWO BUILDING SECTIONS ARE CONNECTED WITH A
 COVERED WALKWAY (SEE AERIAL BELOW AND ALSO SURVEYOR'S
 SURVEY). IT IS NOT CLEAR WHETHER THIS COVERED
 WALKWAY/PORCH IS ENCLOSED OR NOT, AND I DON'T HAVE AN
 ELEVATION FOR IT. I THINK THAT IT'S OK TO HAVE TWO
 SEPARATE ELEVATION CERTIFICATES, ONE FOR EACH PORTION,
 BUT THE COVERED WALKWAY/PORCH NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED. IF
 THE ELEVATION OF THE WALKWAY IS LESS THAN 7.5', IT
 SHOULD BE EITHER OPEN OR HAVE FLOOD OPENINGS. ITEM C2B
  
 REGARDING THE ELEVATION CERTIFICATE, GUEST HOUSE:
  
 ITEM C2B NEEDS TO INCLUDE AN ELEVATION. THERE IS A NOTE
 STATING THAT THE SURVEYOR DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE
 SECOND FLOOR. PER THE ISO AUDITOR, ALL ELEVATIONS MUST
 BE INCLUDED. IF ONE EC IS DONE FOR THE TWO BUILDING
 SECTIONS, THE ELEVATION OF THE SECOND FLOOR WOULD NOT
 BE NEEDED.
  
 REGARDING THE ELEVATION CERTIFICATE, MAIN HOUSE:
  
 ITEM A8C, THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH FLOOD OPENINGS TO
 SATISFY NFIP REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING
 DOCUMENT, "OPENINGS IN FOUNDATION WALLS AND WALLS OF
 ENCLOSURES," TECHNICAL BULLETIN 1 / AUGUST 2008 FOR
 PROPER INSTALLATION OF FLOOD VENTS:

 PAGE 18 EXPLAINS THAT NON-ENGINEERED OPENINGS ARE TO
 PROVIDE 1 SQUARE INCH OF NET OPEN AREA FOR EACH SQUARE
 FOOT OF ENCLOSED AREA. IF THE OPENINGS ARE ACTUALLY AN
 ENGINEERED PRODUCT (SUCH AS SMARTVENT OR SIMILAR
 PRODUCT), THE ICC EVALUATION REPORT WOULD DICTATE THE
 OPENINGS REQUIRED. PLEASE VERIFY THAT THE FLOOD VENTS
 ARE NOT ENGINEERED FLOOD VENTS. IF THEY ARE ENGINEERED
 (OR AN ENGINEERED PRODUCT WITH AN ICC EVALUATION
 REPORT), THE ELEVATION CERTIFICATE SHOULD BE REVISED
 AND THE ICC EVALUATION REPORT ATTACHED TO THE EC.
  
 IF YOU VERIFY THAT THE OPENINGS ARE NOT ENGINEERED,
 EITHER ADDITIONAL OPENINGS SHOULD BE INSTALLED OR THE
 EXISTING NON-ENGINEERED VENTS COULD BE REPLACED WITH
 ENGINEERED FLOOD VENTS. TYPICALLY ENGINEERED FLOOD
 VENTS REQUIRE HALF THE NET OPENINGS THAT NON-ENGINEERED
 VENTS REQUIRE.
  
 IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE INCLUDE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE EXISTING
 FLOOD VENTS. PLEASE SEE PAGE 19 OF TECHNICAL BULLETIN
 1. VENTS USED FOR AIR VENTILATION WHICH CAN BE CLOSED
 MANUALLY OR WHICH HAVE COVERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS
 FLOOD VENTS. THIS WILL HELP TO AVOID ANY INSPECTION
 ISSUES.
