 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 1ST REVIEW
 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THE PERMIT SHOWS AN INCREASE IN WORK, PLEASE
 INDICATE THE VALUE OF INCREASE IN WORK. SHEET A-400
 INDICATES:
 EXISTING HERCULITE DOOR TO REMAIN PROVIDE WEATHER
 STRIPPING AT ALL DOOR EDGES AND PATCH & FILL ALL HOLES
 IN THE EXISTING STOREFRONT AND PREPARE FOR NEW PAINT.
 IT IS QUITE CLEAR THE REMOVAL OF THE STOREFRONT SYSTEM
 SYSTEM AND HERCULITE DOORS WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE
 SCOPE OF WORK.
  
 2) NEITHER THE ARCHITECTURAL SSHEETS NOR STRUCTURAL
 SHEETS PROVIDE PRESSURES ASSOCIATED WITH THTE REMOVAL
 AND NEW GLAZING SYSTEMS BEING PART OF THE SCOPE OF
 WORK. SHEET S-2 DID INCORPORATE A PORTION OF THE WIND
 DESIGN 140 MPH, COASTAL EXPOSURE AND IMPORTANCE FACTOR
 II HURRICANE PRONE REGIONS WITH V> 100MPH A 1.00.
 PLEASE NOTE SINCE WE ARE GOING TO BE REPLACING THE
 GLAZING SYSTEM PLEASE REVIEW ASCE 7-05 TABLE 1-1 WITH
 BUILDINGS WHERE MORE THAN 300 PEOPLE CONGREGATE IN ONE
 AREA THTE BUILDING BECOMES A III AND TABLE 6-1 AN
 IMPORTANCE FACTOR OF 1.15. PLEASE PROVIDE THE PRESSURES
 BOTH POSITIVE & NEGATIVE WITH IMPORTANCE FACTOR, HEIGHT
 AND EXPOSURES FACTORS. 2007/09 FBC-B 1609.
  
 3) PLEASE UPDATE ARCHITECTURAL ELEVATION VIEWS AND
 STRUCTURAL SHEETS FOR NEW GLAZING WORK FOR RECORD
 KEEPING.
  
 4) PLEASE PROVIDE EITHER FLORIDA APPROVAL OR MIAMI-DADE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS, NOTE THREE SETS OF ALL PLANS,
 REPORTS, SINCE THIS IS A THRESHOLD BUILDING.
 ONE SET OF YKK REPORTS WERE SUBMITTED BUT IDENTIFIED AS
 TO TESTING AGENCY.
  
 5) PLEASE NOTE THAT A YKK CURTAIN WALL REPORT WAS
 SUBMITTED, I BELIEVE THIS REPORT WAS SUBMITTED IN ERROR
 SINCE MULLION SPLICES ARE TO OCCUR AT EVERY FLOOR.
 IN THIS CONFIGURATION THE SECOND STORY FLOOR DOES NOT
 CONTINUE OUT INTO THE LOBBY AREA.
  
 6) THE ARCHITECTURAL SHEETFOR THE 2 STORY STOREFRONT
 GLAZED AREA, THE PLANS DO NOT PROVIDE WHICH OF THE
 MULLIONS ARE TO BE THE MAIN MULLIONS THE VERTICAL OR
 HORIZONTAL MULLIONS?
  
 7) THE SAME ISSUE OCCURS WITH THE NEW GLAZED DOOR &
 TRANSOM SYSTEM. IT APPEARS THAT A SEPERATE STRUCTURAL
 MULLION WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE HEIGHT OF THE DOORS
 AND MORE THAN ONE SET OF DOUBLE DOORS.
  
 8) IT WOULD APPEAR THAT SHOP DRAWINGS (3 SETS) SHOULD
 ALSO ACCOMPANY THE NEW ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL PLANS
 AND PRODUCT APPROVALS AND BE REVIEWED BY THE DESIGNER
 OF RECORD BEFORE RESUBMITTAL TO THE BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT.106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS
 WHICH ARE REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW CAN NOT BE MADE AT THIS TIME, AS A
 RESULT OF THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY APPEAR THAT WERE NOT PART OF
