 PLEASE RESPOND TO REVIEW COMMENTS IN WRITTEN FORMAT.
  
 1. THE MURAL AND ELEPHANT REQUIRE SEPARATE PERMITS AND
 MUST BE REVIEWED BY "ART IN PUBLIC PLACES"
  
 2. THE XERISCAPE OPTIONS WERE INCORRECT. CREDIT WAS
 TAKEN FOR UTILIZATION OF MOISTURE SENSING CONTROLLER
 OTHER THAN RAINSWITCH. NO IRRIGATION SYSTEM HAS BEEN
 DESIGNED AND IF IT HAS, PLEASE INDICATE. IN ADDITION,
 FIVE POINTS WERE TAKEN FOR 25-50% OF THE REQUIRED TREES
 THAT ARE DROUGHT TOLERANT. NO TREES WERE PROPOSED AND
 THE FOXTAIL PALMS AND BANANA TREES ARE HEAVY WATER
 USERS.
  
 3. THE LANDSCAPE CALCULATIONS ARE INCORRECT. OPEN SPACE
 IS DETERMINED BY TAKING THE ENTIRE LOT AREA AND
 DEDUCTING THE FOOTPRINT OF THE STRUCTURE. WHAT IS LEFT
 (INCLUDING THE PARKING LOT AND WALKWAYS) IS OPEN SPACE.
 THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF THE SITE CANNOT BE CORRECT, BASED
 UPON SCALING THE PLAN. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALCULATIONS
 AND MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES.
  
 4. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-442 (C), PALM TREES MAY BE
 SUBSTITUTED FOR NOT MORE THAN 35 PERCENT OF THE SHADE
 OR FLOWERING TREES REQUIRED BY THIS ARTICLE. WHEN PALM
 TREES ARE SUBSTITUTED FOR SHADE TREES, TWO PALMS SHALL
 BE PROVIDED FOR EACH REQUIRED SHADE TREE. HOWEVER,
 PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-445 (4) (B), WHENEVER THE
 CLUSTERING OF PALM TREES IS UTILIZED, A MINIMUM OF
 THREE PALM TRESS PER CLUSTER SHALL BE REQUIRED. PLEASE
 NOTE THAT THE TWO COCONUT PALMS WILL QUALIFY AS SHADE
 TREES BUT MUST BE COUNTED TOWARD THE 35% LIMIT.
  
 5. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C) (3) (A), EACH ROW OF
 PARKING SPACES SHALL BE TERMINATED BY LANDSCAPED
 ISLANDS AND EACH LANDSCAPED ISLAND SHALL CONTAIN AT
 LEAST ONE SHADE OR FLOWERING TREE. PAPAYA AND BAMBOO
 CANNOT BE COUNTED AS TREES BECAUSE OF THEIR INITIAL AND
 ULTIMATE SIZE AND FORM. ONE TREE NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED
 IN THE LOCATION SHOWN FOR THE ELEPHANT AND ANOTHER TREE
 IS REQUIRED BETWEEN THE DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE AND THE
 PARKING ROW.
