 PLEASE RESPOND TO REVIEW COMMENTS IN WRITTEN FORMAT.
  
 1. LANDSCAPING REQUIRES A SEPARATE PERMIT. PLEASE
 SUBMIT A LANDSCAPE APPLCATION AND TWO SETS OF PLANS TO
 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. PLEASE PROVIDE A CERTIFIED COST
 ESTIMATE THAT INCLUDES THE TOTAL COST OF ALL LANDSCAPE
 MATERIALS AND LABOR.
  
 2. THERE IS AN EXISTING STRANGLER FIG (FICUS) TREE
 ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING SCHEDULED TO
 REMAIN. THE ROOTS ARE GROWING INTO A BACKFLOW PREVENTOR
 AND UNDER THE SLAB HOUSING THE AIR CONDITIONING. IN
 ADDITION, THERE ARE OVERHEAD LINES IN CLOSE PROXIMITY.
 THAT TREE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A TREE
 APPROVED BY FPL. PLEASE REFER TO THE FPL WEBSITE AND
 CLICK ONTO "PLANT THE RIGHT TREE IN THE RIGHT PLACE"
 WHICH LISTS VARIOUS TREE SPECIES THAT CAN BE PLANTED
 NEAR OR UNDER POWER LINES. PERHAPS THE ARECA PALMS THAT
 WERE TO REMAIN COULD BE MOVED INTO THIS LOCATION.
  
 3. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-444 (B), OUTDOOR GARBAGE OR
 TRASH RECEPTACLES, FUEL TANKS, AND OTHER MECHANICAL
 EQUIPMENT SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED UNLESS APPROPRIATE
 SCREENING IS PROVIDED. SCREENING SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED
 OF BRICK, DECORATIVE CONCRETE, OTHER DECORATIVE
 MASONRY, OR COMPARABLY DURABLE WOOD AND STEEL. WALLS
 SHALL BE LANDSCAPED WITH SHRUBS AND HEDGES PLANTED AT
 TWO-FOOT INTERVALS. VISION OBSCURING GATES ARE
 REQUIRED. THIS APPLIES TO THE CHAIN LINK FENCE THAT
 SURROUNDS THE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ALONG THE NORTH
 SIDE OF THE SITE. CHAIN LINK FENCE WITH OR WITHOUT
 SLATS DOES NOT MEET THE INTENT OF THE CODE. IN ADDITION
 TO THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT, THERE IS AN UNSCREENED
 DUMPSTER IN THE REAR PARKING LOT.
  
 4. A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT IS REQUIRED. THE
 APPLICATION CAN BE OBTAINED AT THE FRONT DESK OF THE
 PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT. THE TABEBUIA TREE,
 MISIDENTIFIED AS A FICUS TREE, AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER
 OF THE BUILDING IS PROPOSED TO BE REMOVED . THERE IS A
 ROYAL PALM ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING NEAR
 THE WALKWAY THAT DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE PLAN.
  
 5. THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF IMPROVEMENTS MADE TO
 THIS SITE. THE PARKING LOT DOES NOT MEET ANY MINIMUM
 STANDARD. THE APPLICANT SHOULD CONSIDER PROVIDING A
 PERIMETER BUFFER AROUND THE PARKING LOT TO HELP SCREEN
 IF FROM THE NEIGHBORING PROPERTIES.
