 FRONT ELEVATION SIGNS
  
 1) THE SIGN AREA SHALL BE CALCULATED FOR THE SMALL
 BUILDING UPON WHICH THE SIGNS ARE MOUNTED, NOT THE
 FACADE OF THE "L" SHAPED BUILDING. STAFF HAS GENERATED
 A ROUGH CALCULATION OF 175 SQUARE FEET FOR THIS FACADE.
  
 2) SECTION 94-408(A)(1)B STATES THAT THE MAXIMUM SUM
 TOTAL AREA OF ALL SIGNS MOUNTED ON THE FRONT FACADE OF
 A BUILDING IS 75% OF THE AREA PERMITTED BY THE SIGN
 AREA TABLE. THIS CALCULATION WAS NOT PERFORMED FOR THE
 FRONT ELEVATION SIGNS.
  
 3) USING THE 175 SQUARE FEET OF FACADE, THE PROPOSED
 SIGNS ARE TOO LARGE.
