 INSTANCE, SHEET 3, SECTION A CIRCLED, CONFLICTS WITH
 HAND DRAWN DETAILS. THE DESIGN PROPOSED IS NOT
 SUPPORTED BY THE NOA.
  
 A. THE NOA DETAIL CIRCLED REQUIRES A MONOLITHIC SLAB,
 FOOTERS WITH NO SLAB SHOWN ON THE SITE SPECIFIC
 DRAWING. THE FOOTER DETAIL SITE SPECIFIC DRAWING
 DIFFERS FROM THE NOA FOOTER DETAIL (SMALLER, DIFFERENT
 REINORCEMENT).
 B. HOW HAS IT BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE PROPOSED
 IMPROVEMENT WILL RESIST WIND LOADS AND HAS THE EFFECT
 ON THE EXISTING STRUCTURE BEEN ANALYZED? SEE SECTION A
 ON THE NOA, THE SUBSTRATE REQUIRED FOR SUPPORT OF THE
 CANOPY IS A CONCRETE TIE BEAM, BUT THE SITE SPECIFIC
 PROPOSES TO USE A PARAPET WALL AS SUPPORT. C. ONLY TWO
 DETAILS WERE CIRCLED ON THE NOA. PLEASE MARK ALL
 PERTINENT DETAILS, CONNECTIONS, AND SPANS. IT IS
 DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE CODE COMPLIANCE BASED ON
 INFORMATION PROVIDED. FOR INSTANCE, IT APPEARS THAT THE
 SPAN ALLOWED IS 6'9", NOT 9'6" AS PROPOSED, SEE BEAM
 SCHEDULE MAXIMUM SPAN FOR A GIVEN TRIBUTARY WITH ON
 SHEET 4. PLEASE MARK ON SHEETS 2,3,4, & 5 ALL PERTINENT
 SPANS, SIZES, SPACING, ETC.
 D. THE MANUFACTURER HAS SUGGESTED THAT, GIVEN THE SITE
 CONDITIONS AND SPAN DESIRED, A FREESTANDING CANOPY
 (WHICH CAN BE ATTACHED TO STRUCTURE ON ONE SIDE) COULD
 BE CONSIDERED.
  
 2. SEE NOTE 19 ON THE NOA, SITE SPECIFIC ENGINEERING
 REQUIRED; NO DEVIATION FROM THE NOA ALLOWED WITHOUT
 ENGINEERING. ALL DEVIATION FROM THE NOA WILL REQUIRE
 CALCULATIONS.
  
 3. THIS PERMIT WILL BE ISSUED WITH PROVISO - 3000 PSI
 CONCRETE REQUIRED, MINIMUM SOIL BEARING PRESSURE 2000
 PSF (REQUIRED BY NOA).
