 1) THE ONLY ITEM LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK ON
 THE PERMIT APPLICATION THAT REQUIRES A PERMIT IS THE
 INTERIOR PARTITIONS.
  
 2) OWNER BUILDERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ACT AS CONTRACTORS
 FOR GROUP R2 MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS. YOU
 WILL BE REQUIRED TO HIRE A LICENSED GENERAL CONTRACTOR
 TO CONSTRUCT THE INTERIOR PARTITIONS.
  
 3) PLANS ARE REQUIRED TO BE DRAFTSMAN QUALITY DRAWN TO
 A MINIMUM OF 1/8 INCH SCALE. NO HANDWRITTEN NOTES IN
 PENCIL ARE ALLOWED ON THE PLANS. THE PLANS ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE CLEAR AND SUITABLE TO COPY FOR RECORD KEEPING
 PURPOSES.SEE FBC*106.1.3 CITY AMENDMENTS TO THE 2004
 FBC.
  
 4) FBC 717.5 DOES NOT ALLOW COMBUSTIBLES IN CONCEALED
 SPACES IN TYPE I OR II CONSTRUCTION. FBC 603.1 ALLOWS
 FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD IN NONBEARING PARTITIONS
 WHERE FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING IS 2 HOURS OR LESS.
 THEREFORE, THE 2X4 PT BASEPLATE IS REQUIRED TO BE
 FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD.
  
 5) PROVIDE A WALL SECTION OF THE INTERIOR PARTITION.
 SPECIFY STUD SPACING, ANCHOR TYPE AND SPACING THAT WILL
 BE USED TO ATTACH TOP AND BOTTOM OF WALLS TO EXISTING
 STRUCTURE, ETC. SEE FBC106.1.2.
  
 6) ADDITIONAL PERMITS FOR ELECTRICAL MAY BE REQUIRED.

 OUTER EDGE OF THE PROPOSED WALL.
  
 210.52(A) GENERAL PROVISIONS IN EVERY KITCHEN, FAMILY
 ROOM, DINING ROOM, LIVING ROOM, PARLOR, LIBRARY, DEN,
 SUNROOM, BEDROOM, RECREATION ROOM, OR SIMILAR ROOM OR
 AREA OF DWELLING UNITS, RECEPTACLE OUTLETS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GENERAL PROVISIONS
 SPECIFIED IN 210.52(A)(1) THROUGH (A)(3).
 (1) SPACING RECEPTACLES SHALL BE INSTALLED SO THAT NO
 POINT MEASURED HORIZONTALLY ALONG THE FLOOR LINE IN ANY
 WALL SPACE IS MORE THAN 1.8 M (6 FT) FROM A RECEPTACLE
 OUTLET.
  
 DINING ROOMS MUST ALSO COMPLY WITH 210.52(B), SMALL
 APPLIANCE RECEPTACLE REQUIREMENT.
  
 ALSO NOTE SECTION,. R313.1.1, FBC. ALTERATIONS,
 REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN INTERIOR ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS
 REQUIRING A PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING
 ROOMS ARE ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE
 INDIVIDUAL DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH SMOKE
 ALARMS LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS; THE SMOKE
 ALARMS SHALL BE INTERCONNECTED AND HARD WIRED. ALSO SEE
 EXCEPTION.
