 NFPA 37 INSTALLATION & USE OF STATIONARY
 COMBUSTION ENGINES & GAS TURBINES:
 4.1.4ENGINES (GENERATORS) LOCATED
 OUTDOORS SHALL BE MINIMUM OF 5 FT FROM
 OPENINGS IN WALLS & AT LEAST 5 FT FROM
 STRUCTURES HAVING COMBUSTIBLE WALLS.A
 MINIMUM CLEARANCE IS NOT REQUIRED WHEN
 (1) THE ADJACENT WALL HAS A MINIMUM FIRE
 RESISTANCE RATING OF 1 HOUR OR (2) THE
 WEATHERPROOF ENCLOSURE IS CONSTRUCTED OF
 NON-COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS, AND IT HAS
 BEEN DEMONSTRATED THAT A FIRE WITHIN THE
 ENCLOSURE WILL NOT IGNITE COMBUSTIBLE
 MATERIALS OUTSIDE THE ENCLOSURE.
