 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. SATISFIED. CITY POLICY PREFERS THE USE OF NATIVE
 PLANTS WHERE POSSIBLE.
  
 2. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. CITY CODE REQUIRES TREES TO BE
 PRUNED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A CERTIFIED ARBORIST
 FOLLOWING ARBORISTS? STANDARDS. EDIT NOTE TO REFLECT
 THAT REQUIREMENT AND THAT PARKS MAINTENANCE WILL REVIEW
 AND APPROVE ANY PRUNING AND FERTILIZING PLAN PRIOR TO
 ANY WORK BEING DONE. PARKS STAFF WOULD PREFER THE
 SINGLE LAUREL OAK TO BE RELOCATED TO THE OPEN AREA
 SOUTH OF THE SIDE WALK BETWEEN THE WALK AND THE
 BASEBALL FIELD.
  
 AFTER FURTHER REVIEW AND DISCUSSION WITH PARKS STAFF,
 THE LAUREL OAKS WILL REMAIN DURING THE PROJECT AND BE
 REMOVED AND REPLACED SEPARATELY AFTER THE PROJECT IS
 COMPLETE. THE ONE LAUREL OAK SHOWN TO BE RELOCATED WILL
 BE REMOVED. THE TREES ARE IN POOR CONDITION AND WILL BE
 REPLACED WITH LIVE OAKS. REMOVE REFERENCES TO PRUNING
 AND FERTILIZING FROM THE LANDSCAPE PLAN AND SHOW THE
 ONE LAUREL OAK AS REMOVED.
  
 3. SATISFIED. ADD COLUMNS FOR NATIVE AND DROUGHT
 TOLERANCE TO THE PLANT LIST.
  
 4. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. PROVIDE A SECTION IN A
 LANDSCAPE DATA CHART TO COMPLY WITH SECTION 94-445 L.
 PLANT SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT
 MATERIAL ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT
 TOLERANT SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE
 LIST OF SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH
 FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH
 FLORIDA LANDSCAPES. PROVIDE THE TOTAL PERCENTAGE OF
 NATIVE AND DROUGHT TOLERANT PLANTS BASED ON FINAL PLANT
 LIST.
 PROVIDE ONE PERCENTAGE BASED ON THE PLANT LIST.
  
 5. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. PER SECTION 94-443 (E)2.,
 PROVIDE THE 30% FOUNDATION PLANTING CALCULATION
 REQUIRED AND PROVIDED FOR EACH BUILDING.
 TOTAL FROM THE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS FOR THE PERIMETER OF
 THE CONCESSION STAND IS 24?8? +24?8?+32?7?+32?7?= 114.5
 FEET
 REQUIRED WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 34.5 FEET. CORRECT ON
 THE CHART AND PROVIDE THE REQUIRED.
  
  
 6. SATISFIED. PROVIDE LOCATIONS OF UTILITY LINES ON THE
 LANDSCAPE PLAN INCLUDING WATER AND SEWER AND RESOLVE
 CONFLICTS WITH LANDSCAPING. SHOW LOCATIONS OF ALL ROOT
 BARRIERS PROPOSED.
 LOCATIONS ON CIVIL PLANS DO NOT SHOW CONFLICTS AS ONLY
 SHRUBS ARE BEING ADDED TO THE PLAN.
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
