 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. MAKE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS TO THE TREE
 DISPOSITION PLAN:
 ? X SYMBOL ON TREE DISPOSITION PLANS REPRESENTS
 REMOVALS AND RELOCATIONS. USE THE X SYMBOL FOR REMOVALS
 ONLY AND PROVIDE A DIFFERENT SYMBOL FOR RELOCATIONS.
 ? PLACE HEADINGS FOR COLUMNS ON ALL DISPOSITION LIST
 SHEETS.
 ? ADD A COLUMN FOR TREE CATEGORY TO THE DISPOSITION
 LIST SHEETS.
 ? FOR TREES LESS THAN 20 FEET CANOPY DIAMETER AND PALMS
 THE CANOPY SQUARE FOOTAGE TO BE MITIGATED IS BASED ON
 CATEGORY. LIVE OAK CATEGORY 1 IS 300 SQ FT, CATEGORY 2
 IS 150 SQ FT, CATEGORY 3 IS 100 SQ FT, CATEGORY 4 IS 50
 SQ FT. COUNT NUMBER OF TRUNKS TIMES CATEGORY VALUE.
 ? PROVIDE THE TOTAL SQUARE FOOTAGE OF MITIGATION DUE
 FOR ALL TREES AND PALMS PROPOSED TO BE REMOVED ONCE
 CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN MADE.
 ? TREE CANOPY AREA MEASUREMENT CHART ON SHEET L3.13 IS
 NOT CORRECT, VALUES SHOWN ARE FOR THE DMP OPEN SPACE
 CANOPY CREDITS. SEE CATEGORY LIST AND VALUES ABOVE.
 ? TOTAL REPLACEMENT CANOPY CREDITS BY CATEGORY WILL
 NEED TO BE CALCULATED BASED ON THE FINAL PLANT LIST TO
 SHOW THAT MITIGATION IS MET.
  
 2. SECTION 94-448 (D)(3) REQUIRES NATIVE TREES (AND
 PALMS) IN GOOD CONDITION TO BE PRESERVED ON SITE OR
 RELOCATED. PROVIDE AN ARBORIST REPORT FOR THE NATIVE
 TREES AND PALMS THAT ARE PROPOSED TO BE REMOVED DUE TO
 CONDITION OR UNABLE TO RELOCATE.
 3. LIGNUM VITAE IS A SMALL TREE AT THE NORTH EDGE OF
 ITS VIABLE RANGE, AND ORANGE GEIGER MAY NOT DO WELL IN
 THIS LOCATION. IT IS BETTER TO CHOOSE A MEDIUM NATIVE
 TREE SUCH AS SILVER BUTTONWOOD THAT WILL THRIVE AT THIS
 LOCATION.
  
 4. FINAL SPECIES TREE COUNTS WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED
 AND SUBSTITUTIONS CAN BE MADE LATER.
  
 5. IN A LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENT CHART, PROVIDE THE
 PERCENTAGE AND SQUARE FOOTAGE CALCULATIONS FOR:
 ? TOTAL NON-BUILDING OPEN SPACE, MUST BE AT LEAST 50%
 ? TOTAL IMPERVIOUS AREA, CANNOT EXCEED 75%
  
 6. USING THE 50% OPEN SPACE SQUARE FOOTAGE, CALCULATE
 THE REQUIRED TREES, FLOWERING TREES AND SHRUBS REQUIRED
 PER SECTION 94-442(C)(2)B. PROVIDE THE INFORMATION IN
 THE LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENT CHART.
  
 7. SECTION 94-443(C)(3) REQUIRES THAT A MINIMUM OF 75
 PERCENT OF ALL TREES THAT ARE REQUIRED TO BE PLANTED
 WITHIN THE INTERIOR OF AN OFF STREET PARKING AREA SHALL
 BE CATEGORY 1 SHADE TREES. PROVIDE THE CALCULATIONS IN
 A LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENT CHART.
  
 8. PROVIDE AN EXHIBIT SHOWING THE PARKING AREA SURFACE
 CALCULATIONS, PARKING SPACE AREAS AND LANDSCAPE AREAS
 PROVIDED TO DEMONSTRATE COMPLIANCE WITH SECTIONS 94-443
 (C)(3) AND (4). PROVIDE THE CALCULATIONS IN A LANDSCAPE
 REQUIREMENT CHART.
  
 9. LOCATIONS OF SOME EXISTING UTILITIES ARE IN
 QUESTION. ONCE FINALIZED ON PLANS, TREE CONFLICTS MUST
 BE ADDRESSED.
  
 10. 50% OPEN SPACE REQUIREMENT SQUARE FOOTAGE IS TO BE
 CALCULATED BASED ON THE ENTIRE SITE SQUARE FOOTAGE.
  
 11. CONSIDER SHIFTING TREES TO LOCATIONS TO ELIMINATE
 THE USE OF ANY ROOT BARRIERS REQUIRED TO PROTECT
 UTILITY LINES. THIS IS BETTER FOR THE TREES AND SAVES
 ON COST.
  
 12. COMPLETE THE FLORIDA FRIENDLY DESIGN OPTION LIST TO
 PROVIDE THE REQUIRED 50 POINTS.
  
 13. ARTIFICIAL TURF IS LIMITED TO THE LOCATIONS AS
 LISTED IN SECTION 94-451.
  
 14. SHOW LIGHTING LOCATIONS ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN AND
 RESOLVE CONFLICTS.
  
 15. SHEET L2.11 LANDSCAPE SPECIFICATIONS IS BLANK.
  
 16. PARKING AREA LOCATED ALONG THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE
 LACKS THE REQUIRED TERMINAL ISLAND SHADE TREES AT THE
 ENDS OF THE ROW OF 7 PARKING SPACES. SCREENING HEDGE IS
 ALSO LACKING ALONG THE WESTERNMOST SPACE.
  
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
