 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
  
 1. MAKE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS TO THE TREE
 DISPOSITION PLAN:
 ? SATISFIED. PROVIDE A COLUMN FOR CONDITION.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 9/16/21:
 ? CORDIA SEBESTENA IS A FLORIDA NATIVE NOT AN EXOTIC
 SPECIES. CORRECT THE NOTE ON THE TREE DISPOSITION LIST
 AND INCLUDE THE TREE IN THE ARBORIST REPORT.
  
 2. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. SECTION 94-448 (D)(3) REQUIRES
 NATIVE TREES IN GOOD CONDITION TO BE PRESERVED ON SITE
 OR RELOCATED. ANSI A 300 (PART 5) STANDARDS SPECIFY
 EXAMPLES OF SUITABILITY RATINGS OF GOOD, MODERATE, OR
 POOR FOR RELOCATION. PROVIDE AN ARBORIST REPORT SHOWING
 CONDITION FOR ALL TREES AND RELOCATION POTENTIAL FOR
 THE NATIVE TREES.
 AMEND THE ARBORISTS REPORT TO INCLUDE THE NAME AND
 SIGNATURE OF THE ARBORIST.
  
 3. SATISFIED. IDENTIFY THE TYPE OF PRIVATE OPEN SPACE
 AS ALLOWED BY TABLE IV-7 AND DEFINITIONS IN SECTION
 94-109. SHOW HOW THE STANDARDS FOR THE TYPES OF OPEN
 SPACE ARE MET FOR VEGETATED AREAS AND TREE CANOPY
 SQUARE FOOTAGE BASED ON TABLE IV-8. PUBLIC SIDEWALK IS
 NOT PRIVATE OPEN SPACE SO SHOULD NOT BE CALLED OUT ON
 THE OPEN SPACE DIAGRAM.
  
 4. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. STREET TREES NEED TO BE A
 MINIMUM OF 20 FEET IN HEIGHT. LIMITATIONS FOR POWER
 LINES NEED TO BE CONSIDERED, BUT CLEARANCE FOR
 PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AND PROVIDING SHADE FOR THE SIDEWALK
 INTENT MUST BE MET. STREET TREES NEED TO BE DISTRIBUTED
 ALONG THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL STREETSCAPE
 SECTION.
  
 PER SECTION 94-113(B)(2) THE MAXIMUM SPACING IS 30 FEET
 ON CENTER. TREES CAN BE PLACED ALONG CURB ADJACENT TO
 PARKING ON QUADRILLE PLAZA AND TREE GRATES USED IF
 NEEDED FOR SIDEWALK TRAVEL WIDTH NEEDED. TREES NEED TO
 BE SPACED AT THE 30 FOOT MAXIMUM.
 TREE NEEDS TO BE PLACED CLOSER TO EAST CORNER ON DATURA
 AND ON THE WEST CORNER THE SIDEWALK SHIFTED WEST TO
 ALLOW 2 TREES WEST OF THE GARAGE ENTRANCE.
  
  
 5. NOT SATISFIED. SHOW THE LOCATIONS OF THE REQUIRED
 STRUCTURAL SOIL UNDER HARDSCAPE PER SECTION 94-113 AND
 PROVIDE THE TYPICAL DETAIL FOR INSTALLATION. THE AREA
 MUST BE 9 X14 FT PARALLEL TO THE CURB FOR EACH TREE
 CONSISTING OF PLANTING AREA AND/OR STRUCTURAL SOIL.
 LOCATIONS MUST BE SHOWN ON THE PLANS MEETING THE CODE
 REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE APPROVAL.
  
 6. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. THERE APPEAR TO BE CONFLICTS IN
 SEVERAL LOCATIONS BETWEEN PROPOSED STREET TREES AND
 DRAINAGE LINES ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN. ADJUST DRAINAGE
 LOCATIONS SO THEY DO NOT INFRINGE ON THE REQUIRED
 PLANTING AREA OR STRUCTURAL SOIL.
 THIS STILL NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED WITH THE FINAL
 LOCATIONS OF THE STREET TREES.
  
 7. SATISFIED. ADD A COLUMN FOR DROUGHT TOLERANCE LEVEL
 TO THE PLANT LIST.
  
 8. SATISFIED. PROVIDE A PLANT LIST FOR THE REQUIRED
 PRIVATE OPEN SPACE.
  
 9. SATISFIED. PROVIDE THE REQUIRED FLORIDA FRIENDLY
 POINTS BASED ON THE PLANT LIST PER SECTION 94-442(G).
  
 10. PARTIALLY SATISFIED. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION
 94-445 L. PLANT SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF
 PLANT MATERIAL ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT
 TOLERANT SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE
 LIST OF SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH
 FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH
 FLORIDA LANDSCAPES. PROVIDE THE ACTUAL PERCENTAGE BASED
 ON THE PLANT LIST.
  
 PERCENTAGE SHOULD BE OF NATIVE AND DROUGHT TOLERANT
 SPECIES OF THE TOTAL ADDED PLANTS.
  
 11. SATISFIED. PROVIDE BUFFER REQUIREMENTS ON THE CHART
 FOR THE WEST EDGE OF THE LOT ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY
 LINE. THERE MAY ALSO BE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE SOME
 AREAS ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING WITH HEDGING
 OR PALMS.
  
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 9/17/21:
  
 12. DAHOON HOLLY TREES MUST MEET THE 12 FOOT HEIGHT
 REQUIREMENT.
  
 13. STAFF SUGGESTS ADDING 3 TALLER PALMS TO THE WESTERN
 BUFFER BETWEEN THE PROPOSED TREES FOR ADDITIONAL
 SCREENING OF THE PARKING GARAGE.
  
 14. ADD TRANSPLANTED SABAL PALMS TO THE PLANT LIST THAT
 ARE PART OF THE FINAL LANDSCAPE PLAN.
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
 2. THE APPLICANT, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS SHALL BE
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERMITTING AND INSTALLATION OF THE
 STREET TREES AND RIGHT OF WAY LANDSCAPING AND
 IRRIGATION APPROVED WITH THIS PETITION.
 3. THE APPLICANT, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS SHALL BE
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ROAD RIGHT OF
 WAY LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION. THIS WILL BE THROUGH A
 SEPARATE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY.
