 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
  
 1. MAKE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS TO THE TREE
 DISPOSITION PLAN:
 ? PROVIDE A COLUMN FOR CONDITION.
  
 2. SECTION 94-448 (D)(3) REQUIRES NATIVE TREES IN GOOD
 CONDITION TO BE PRESERVED ON SITE OR RELOCATED. ANSI A
 300 (PART 5) STANDARDS SPECIFY EXAMPLES OF SUITABILITY
 RATINGS OF GOOD, MODERATE, OR POOR FOR RELOCATION.
 PROVIDE AN ARBORIST REPORT SHOWING CONDITION FOR ALL
 TREES AND RELOCATION POTENTIAL FOR THE NATIVE TREES.
  
 3. IDENTIFY THE TYPE OF PRIVATE OPEN SPACE AS ALLOWED
 BY TABLE IV-7 AND DEFINITIONS IN SECTION 94-109. SHOW
 HOW THE STANDARDS FOR THE TYPES OF OPEN SPACE ARE MET
 FOR VEGETATED AREAS AND TREE CANOPY SQUARE FOOTAGE
 BASED ON TABLE IV-8. PUBLIC SIDEWALK IS NOT PRIVATE
 OPEN SPACE SO SHOULD NOT BE CALLED OUT ON THE OPEN
 SPACE DIAGRAM.
  
 4. STREET TREES NEED TO BE A MINIMUM OF 20 FEET IN
 HEIGHT. LIMITATIONS FOR POWER LINES NEED TO BE
 CONSIDERED, BUT CLEARANCE FOR PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AND
 PROVIDING SHADE FOR THE SIDEWALK INTENT MUST BE MET.
 STREET TREES NEED TO BE DISTRIBUTED ALONG THE ENTIRE
 LENGTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL STREETSCAPE SECTION.
  
 5. SHOW THE LOCATIONS OF THE REQUIRED STRUCTURAL SOIL
 UNDER HARDSCAPE PER SECTION 94-113 AND PROVIDE THE
 TYPICAL DETAIL FOR INSTALLATION. THE AREA MUST BE 9 X14
 FT PARALLEL TO THE CURB FOR EACH TREE CONSISTING OF
 PLANTING AREA AND/OR STRUCTURAL SOIL.
  
 6. THERE APPEAR TO BE CONFLICTS IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS
 BETWEEN PROPOSED STREET TREES AND DRAINAGE LINES ON THE
 LANDSCAPE PLAN. ADJUST DRAINAGE LOCATIONS SO THEY DO
 NOT INFRINGE ON THE REQUIRED PLANTING AREA OR
 STRUCTURAL SOIL.
  
 7. ADD A COLUMN FOR DROUGHT TOLERANCE LEVEL TO THE
 PLANT LIST.
  
 8. PROVIDE A PLANT LIST FOR THE REQUIRED PRIVATE OPEN
 SPACE.
  
 9. PROVIDE THE REQUIRED FLORIDA FRIENDLY POINTS BASED
 ON THE PLANT LIST PER SECTION 94-442(G).
  
 10. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 94-445 L. PLANT
 SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT MATERIAL
 ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT TOLERANT
 SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE LIST OF
 SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH FLORIDA
 WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH FLORIDA
 LANDSCAPES. PROVIDE THE ACTUAL PERCENTAGE BASED ON THE
 PLANT LIST.
  
 11. PROVIDE BUFFER REQUIREMENTS ON THE CHART FOR THE
 WEST EDGE OF THE LOT ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY LINE.
 THERE MAY ALSO BE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE SOME AREAS
 ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING WITH HEDGING OR
 PALMS.
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
