 - THE PPRC COMMENTS SHALL BE SUFFICIENTLY ADDRESSED AND

 - PUBLIC HEARING NOTIFICATION SIGNAGE SHALL BE POSTED
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION
 94-39(I)(5) OF THE ZONING AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
 REGULATIONS.
  
 ARCADE IDENTITY SIGN OPTIONS
  
 A: SUSPENDED LETTERS ON A RACEWAY
  
 EXAMPLE PHOTO AND STOREFRONT DRAWING SHOW THE LETTERS
 MOUNTED TO THE FRONT OF THE RACEWAY AND THE RACEWAY
 SUPPORTS MOUNTED TO THE CEILING. THE SUPPORTS ARE NOT
 LOCATED AT THE END OF THE RACEWAY, BUT RATHER OFF SET
 FROM THE ENDS.
  
 PERMITS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED FOR BOTH THE SUPPORTS AT
 THE ENDS OF THE RACEWAY (A SQUARE U SHAPE) AND THE SIGN
 COPY SITTING ON TOP OF THE RACEWAY. I DO NOT RECALL IS
 A PERMIT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED FOR THE SIGN HANGING FROM
 THE RACEWAY.
  
 B: SUSPENDED INDIVIDUAL LETTERS
  
 EXAMPLE PHOTO AND STOREFRONT DRAWING SHOW THE
 INDIVIDUAL LETTERS HANGING FROM THE BOTTOM OF
 INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTS MOUNTED TO THE CEILING.
  
 WHILE NO PERMITS FOR THIS STYLE HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED, I
 ANTICIPATE THAT THERE COULD BE A SUBMITTAL WITH THE
 LETTERS MOUNTED TO THE FRONT OF THE SUPPORTS.
  
 C: TENANT NAME MOUNTED TO A SUSPENDED PANEL
  
 EXAMPLE PHOTO AND STOREFRONT DRAWING SHOW THE PANEL
 HANGING FROM THE BOTTOM OF SUPPORTS MOUNTED TO THE
 CEILING. THE SUPPORTS ARE NOT LOCATED AT THE END OF THE
 PANEL, BUT RATHER OFF SET FROM THE ENDS.
  
 NEED TO DISCUSS THE SUPPORTS MOUNTED AT THE ENDS OF THE
 PANEL (STILL ATTACHED TO THE CEILING) AND THE PANEL
 MOUNTED TO THE FRONT OF THE SUPPORTS. SINCE THIS SIGN
 TYPE IS A "SUSPENDED PANEL" THEN HAVING THE SUPPORTS
 EXTENDING FROM THE PANEL TO THE SIDES (NOT THE CEILING)
 WOULD NOT QUALIFY.
  
 D: LETTERS ON A RACEWAY
  
 EXAMPLE PHOTO AND STOREFRONT DRAWING SHOW THE LETTERS
 MOUNTED TO THE FRONT OF THE RACEWAY.
  
 NEED TO DISCUSS THE SIGN MOUNTED ON TOP OF OR HANGING
 FROM THE RACEWAY.
  
 CANOPY SIGNS
  
 THE STOREFRONT DRAWINGS ARE A BIT MISLEADING ON THIS
 SIGN TYPE. IT APPEARS THE SAME AS THE LETTERS ON A
 RACEWAY OPTION, JUST WITH THE SIGN ABOVE THE RACEWAY.
 FROM THE TEXT THE CANOPY SHOULD BE EITHER MOUNTED TO
 THE BUILDING FACADE AT THE STOREFRONT PLANE OR OUTSIDE
 OF THE ARCADE OPENINGS, NOT BETWEEN THE ARCADE COLUMNS.
  
 BLADE SIGNS
  
 NEED TO CLARIFY THAT THE MAXIMUM HORIZONTAL DISTANCE
 FROM THE WALL TO THE EDGE OF THE BLADE SIGN IS THE
 INTERIOR EDGE, NOT THE EXTERIOR EDGE.
  
 GENERAL COMMENTS
  
 DISCUSS - SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDE/INCLUDE THE MOUNTING
 HARDWARE, RACEWAYS AND SUPPORTS (UNLESS PAINTED TO BE
 PART OF THE SIGN) FROM THE THREE PERMITTED SIGN COLORS
 FOR FUTURE CLARITY AND THUS POTENTIAL FASTER PERMIT
 ISSUANCE IF THERE ARE NO OTHER COMMENTS (NO NEED TO GET
 A WAIVER I) .
  
 UNDER FASCIA IDENTITY SIGNS (EX. C PG 7, #1) IT STATES
 STUD MOUNTS TO BE 300 SERIES STAINLESS STEEL ANCHOR
 BOLTS. UNDER FABRICATION REQUIREMENTS (EX. C PG 17, #4)
 IT IS MORE SPECIFIC THAT SERIES 316 STAINLESS STEEL
 THREADED RODS OR ANCHOR BOLTS SHALL BE USED. THESE TWO
 SECTIONS NEED TO INCLUDE THE SAME NUMBER. NOTE: THERE
 ARE A NUMBER OF 300 SERIES, BUT ONLY ONE 316 BOLT.
  
 DISCUSS - THE PROPOSED CITY CELLAR ARCADE IDENTIFY SIGN
 IS NOT LOCATED CENTERED ON THE FA?ADE IN FRONT OF THE
 TENANT ENTRANCE OR WITHIN THE LEASE LINES SINCE IT IS
 PROPOSED ABOVE THE CORRIDOR IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT.
 A WAIVER I CAN ADDRESS NOT BEING IN FRONT OF THE
 ENTRANCE, BUT AS WRITTEN CANNOT ADDRESS THE LEASE LINE
 ISSUE. ALLOWING SIGNS TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE LEASE AREA
 IS A SLIPPERY SLOPE THAT STAFF IS NOT PREPARED TO
 SUPPORT. AS FOR THE CITY CELLAR SIGN, MY COMMENT WAS
 THAT THEY NEED TO VERIFY THAT THE PROPOSED LOCATION IS
 WITHIN THEIR LEASE LINE, BUT HAVE HEARD NOTHING BACK.
  
 SUBMITTED PROPOSED CHANGES
  
 BREAK INTO TWO ITEMS:
  
 ACCEPTANCE OF SIGNAGE THAT CONTAINS A LOGO.
 ACCEPTANCE OF SIGNAGE WITH MORE THAN THREE (3) COLORS.
  
 THE PROPOSAL IS, "UP TO 50 PERCENT INCREASE IN THE
 DIMENSION OF SIGN TYPE 1A: FASCIA IDENTITY SIGN." THIS
 IS SIMILAR TO THE CURRENT 25% INCREASE IN DIMENSION FOR
 ALL SIGNS. JUST SO THAT RS AND STAFF STAY ON SAME PAGE,
 THIS APPLIES TO:
  
 MAXIMUM WIDTH OF STOREFRONT FRONTAGE. BASE IS 40% OF
 FRONTAGE SO WAIVER MAXIMUM IS 60% OF FRONTAGE.
 STAFF DOES NOT INTERPRET THIS TO INCLUDE THE CHANNEL
 LETTER DEPTH (EX. C, PG 7, #1 AND PG 8).
 MAXIMUM SIGN PANEL & LETTER HEIGHT. BASE IS 18 INCHES
