 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. SATISFIED. PROVIDE A TREE DISPOSITION CHART OF THE
 TREES OR PALMS WITHIN THE AFFECTED AREA AND INDICATE IF
 THEY WILL BE PRESERVED IN PLACE, RELOCATED OR REMOVED.
 LIST THE BOTANICAL NAME AND PROVIDE THE CANOPY DIAMETER
 FOR ANY TREES.
  
 2. SATISFIED. SHOW THE CALCULATIONS FOR MINIMUM SHADE
 TREE AND FLOWERING TREE REQUIREMENTS PER SECTION
 94-443(C)(2)B. BASED ON REQUIRED OPEN SPACE OF 40%.
 THIS SHOULD BE 20,110 SQ FT.
 UPDATE TO CURRENT CODE OF ONE TREE PER 1500 SQ FT OR
 PORTION THEREOF, AND ONE FLOWERING TREE PER 6000 SQ FT
 OR PORTION THEREOF. ADJUST REQUIRED SHRUBS AT ONE PER
 500 SQ FT OR PORTION THEREOF.
  
 3. SATISFIED. PROVIDE THE REQUIRED TERMINAL ISLANDS
 WITH 8 FEET INTERIOR LANDSCAPE WIDTH AT THE END OF EACH
 ROW OF PARKING, INCLUDING THE LOADING ZONE AREA.
  
 4. SATISFIED. SECTION 94-443(C)(3) REQUIRES THAT A
 MINIMUM OF 75 PERCENT OF ALL TREES THAT ARE REQUIRED TO
 BE PLANTED WITHIN THE INTERIOR OF AN OFF STREET PARKING
 AREA SHALL BE CATEGORY 1 SHADE TREES. SHOW THE
 PERCENTAGE OF CATEGORY 1 TREES PROVIDED FOR THE
 REQUIRED LANDSCAPE AREAS.
  
 HIGHRISE LIVE OAK DOES NOT MEET THE CANOPY REQUIREMENT
 FOR CATEGORY 1 TREES. CHANGE TO SPECIES LIVE OAK.
  
 5. SATISFIED. PROVIDE A PLAN SHOWING THE PARKING
 LANDSCAPE AREAS COUNTED TOWARD COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION
 94-443(C)(3) AND (4) AND PROVIDE CALCULATIONS.
 PROVIDE A SEPARATE PLAN SHOWING THE THREE AREAS AND
 PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOTAGES- PARKING SPACE AREA, OTHER
 PAVED AREAS, AND INTERIOR LANDSCAPE AREAS AS SHOWN IN
 SECTION 94-443 FIGURE XIV-1. ADJUST THE DATA IN THE
 TABLE TO SHOW THE MATCHING SQUARE FOOTAGE AS SHOWN IN
 THE PLAN.
  
 11-16-20 22 SPACES ARE SHOWN, 220 SQ FT REQUIRED.
 OTHER VUA SHOULD NOT COUNT PARKING SPACES AREA. IF ALL
 OTHER VUA IS 4017 SQ FT, THEN 1722.8 SQ FT IS REQUIRED
 AND ADDED TO 220 SQ FT FOR TOTAL OF 1943 SQ FT.
 TOTAL THE QUALIFYING INTERIOR LANDSCAPE AREAS AND SHOW
 THE TOTAL PROVIDED.
  
  
 6. SATISFIED. SHOW THE LOCATIONS OF REQUIRED 5 FOOT
 LANDSCAPE BUFFERS ON THE SITE PLAN AND LANDSCAPE PLAN
 PER SECTION 94-443(D).
  
 7. SATISFIED. BUFFER LENGTHS REQUIRE ONE TREE PER 30
 FEET OR PORTION THEREOF. EAST BUFFER REQUIRES 7 TREES,
 SOUTH BUFFER REQUIRES 8 TREES, NORTH BUFFER REQUIRES 10
 TREES.
  
 8. SATISFIED. ADJUST TREE SIZES TO MINIMUM OF 12 FEET
 IN HEIGHT. UPDATE PALMS REFERENCE TO 3:1 RATIO.
  
  
 9. SATISFIED. SHOW LOCATIONS OF ALL PROPOSED WATER,
 SEWER AND DRAINAGE LINES ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN.
 ENGINEERING PLANS WERE ONLY FOUND FOR PAVING AND
 DRAINAGE.
  
 10. SATISFIED. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 94-445 L.
 PLANT SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT
 MATERIAL ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT
 TOLERANT SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE
 LIST OF SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH
 FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH
 FLORIDA LANDSCAPES.
 PROVIDE THE TOTAL PERCENTAGE BASED ON FINAL PLANT LIST.
  
 11. SATISFIED. SHOW LOCATIONS OF FPL TRANSFORMERS ON
 THE LANDSCAPE PLAN AND RESOLVE CONFLICTS WITH
 LANDSCAPING.
  
 12. SATISFIED. PROVIDE A DETAIL AND LOCATIONS OF ROOT
 BARRIERS TO SEPARATE LANDSCAPING FROM UTILITY LINES.
  
 13. SATISFIED. PROVIDE SCREENING FOR ALL GROUND MOUNTED
 VALVES AND EQUIPMENT.
  
 14. SATISFIED. SHOW THE LOCATIONS OF ALL SITE LIGHTING
 ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN AND RESOLVE ANY CONFLICTS WITH
 TREES.
 LOCATIONS NEED TO BE SHOWN TO PREVENT CONFLICTS WITH
 TREES. THE NOTE #18 DOES NOT ADDRESS THE REQUIRED
 LOCATIONS FOR TREES THAT COULD BECOME OUT OF COMPLIANCE
 IF ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO PROPOSED LIGHTING.
  
  
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 9/14/20:
  
 15. SATISFIED. THE TREE SPECIES CHOSEN DO NOT MEET THE
 SHADE TREE DEFINITION AND DO NOT MEET THE INTENT OF THE
 LANDSCAPE CODE TO REDUCE HEAT ISLAND EFFECT BY
 PROVIDING AS MUCH TREE CANOPY AS POSSIBLE ON THE SITE.
 THE BUFFER TREES ARE ONLY RESTRICTED BY OVERHEAD
 UTILITY LINES ON A PORTION OF THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE.
 ALL OTHER TREES IN THE BUFFERS SHOULD INCLUDE SHADE
 TREES TO PROVIDE SHADE AND ALLOW VIEWING OF SIGNAGE AND
 THE SITE BENEATH THE MATURE CANOPIES. THE SMALL TREE
 SPECIES PROPOSED DO NOT PROVIDE SHADE FOR THE PAVED
 AREAS INCLUDING THE BIKE TRAIL AND WILL BLOCK THE VIEW
 OF SIGNAGE FROM THE STREET AND WILL LEAD TO TRIMMING
 THE TREES IN AN IMPROPER MANNER.
 16. SATISFIED. CORRECT THE REQUIRED LANDSCAPE AREA IN
 THE DATA CHART TO 15% AND SHOW THE SQUARE FOOTAGE AND
 PERCENTAGE PROVIDED.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENT 1-22-21:
 17. SATISFIED. THE PROPOSED RIGHT OF WAY AT THE CORNER
 WITH THE REQUIRED 5 FOOT LANDSCAPE BUFFER HAS AN
 ENCROACHMENT OF THE PARKING INTO THE BUFFER. MODIFY THE
 PARKING TO ELIMINATE ENCROACHMENT.
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
