 NOVEMBER 8, 2019
 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. THE STREETSCAPE CAN BE IMPROVED TO ACCOMPLISH THE
 INTENT OF THE CODE SECTION 94-113. THE DATE PALMS MAY
 BE USED, BUT NOT AS COUNTING TOWARD THE TREE
 REQUIREMENT AT THE MAXIMUM 30 FOOT SPACING. ADD CANOPY
 TREES AS REQUIRED.
  
 2. CHANGE HIGHRISE OAK TO A CANOPY TREE TO PROVIDE
 SHADE FOR THE PLAZA AREA.
  
 3. FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPE DESIGN POINTS CANNOT BE
 COUNTED FOR 51% OR MORE IN THE SAME CATEGORY. REVISE.
  
 4. SECTION 94-448 (D)(3) REQUIRES NATIVE TREES IN GOOD
 CONDITION TO BE PRESERVED ON SITE OR RELOCATED. SUBMIT
 THE REASON EXISTING LIVE OAK TREES #38, 39 AND 40
 CANNOT BE RELOCATED OR USED IN THE PROPOSED LANDSCAPE.
  
 5. QGD-10 REQUIRES 25 PERCENT PRIVATE OPEN SPACE FOR
 LOT SIZE UNDER 50,000 SQ FT. PRIVATE OPEN SPACE AREAS
 MUST BE IDENTIFIED AND BROKEN DOWN TO SHOW THE REQUIRED
 VEGETATED AREA AND ANY TREE CANOPY REQUIREMENT FOR EACH
 AREA AS THE ALLOWED OPEN SPACE TYPE. TREE CANOPY VALUES
 CAN BE FOUND IN SECTION 94-109 TABLE IV-8.
  
 6. SHOW LOCATIONS OF UTILITY LINES ON LANDSCAPE PLAN,
 ALSO LOCATIONS OF FDC, VALVES AND BACKFLOW PREVENTERS
 AND FPL TRANSFORMERS. INDICATE HOW THE OVERHEAD LINES
 IN THE ADJACENT ALLEY WILL BE ACCOMMODATED.
  
 7. SHOW LOCATIONS OF ANY ROOT BARRIERS REQUIRED TO
 PROTECT UTILITY LINES.
  
 8. SHOW LOCATIONS OF REQUIRED STRUCTURAL SOIL UNDER
 HARDSCAPE ADJACENT TO TREES. PROVIDE A TYPICAL FOR THE
 INSTALLATION OF THE STRUCTURAL SOIL.
  
 9. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 94-445 L. PLANT
 SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT MATERIAL
 ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT TOLERANT
 SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE LIST OF
 SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH FLORIDA
 WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH FLORIDA
 LANDSCAPES.
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
 2. THE APPLICANT, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS SHALL BE
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERMITTING AND INSTALLATION OF THE
 STREET TREES AND RIGHT OF WAY LANDSCAPING AND
 IRRIGATION APPROVED WITH THIS PETITION.
 3. THE APPLICANT, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS SHALL BE
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ROAD RIGHT OF
 WAY LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION. THIS WILL BE THROUGH A
 SEPARATE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY.
