 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
  
 1. PROPOSED LANDSCAPE TERMINAL ISLANDS DO NOT MEET THE
 CODE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 94-443(C)(3) A. FOR
 LANDSCAPE AREA WIDTH OF 8 FEET FOR THE FULL LENGTH OF
 THE PARKING SPACE, AND THE REQUIRED TREE MUST BE
 PROVIDED. THE PAVED ADA SPACES ARE ADJACENT TO A GRASS
 AREA, WHICH CONFLICTS WITH THE REQUIREMENT FOR
 LANDSCAPE AREAS TO BE PROTECTED WITH CURBS.
  
 2. SHOW THE EXISTING TREES TO REMAIN ON THE LANDSCAPE
 PLAN CLEARLY AND IDENTIFY THEM WITH TAGS.
  
 3. INDICATE LOCATIONS OF TREE PROTECTION ON THE PLAN.
  
 4. CORRECT ZAMIA FURFURACEA TO NONNATIVE OR CHANGE
 SPECIES TO PUMILA THAT IS NATIVE.
  
 5. CHOOSE ONE MINIMUM HEIGHT SPECIFICATION FOR THE
 SIMPSON?S STOPPER AND SILVER BUTTONWOOD TREES. THE CODE
 ALLOWS FOR SOME VARIATION ON THE 12 FOOT HEIGHT
 REQUIREMENT FOR NATIVE TREES WITH GOOD REASON.
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
