 COMMENTS:
  
 1. THIS REVIEW IS A CURSORY REVIEW AS IT RELATES TO THE
 SITE. IT IS NOT A REVIEW FOR FULL COMPLIANCE WITH
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS ARE TO BE
 ADDRESSED FOR THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION.
  
 2. LOCATION OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES. SITE PLAN
 SHEET C7 SHOWS REGULAR PARKING SPACES LOCATED CLOSER TO
 THE BUILDING ENTRANCE THAN THE ACCESSIBLE PARKING
 SPACES. THE ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES SHALL BE
 RELOCATED SO THAT THEY ARE THE CLOSEST PARKING SPACES
 TO THE BUILDING ENTRANCE. PER SECTION 208.3 OF FLORIDA
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE, ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES ARE TO BE
 LOCATED ON THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE ROUTE OF TRAVEL FROM
 ADJACENT PARKING TO AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE FOR EACH
 BUILDING. THE RESPONSE LETTER DATED 7/2/18 FROM ZACH
 THORNTON, P.E., IS NOTED. THANK YOU. THE FAILED STATUS
 OF THIS REVIEW WILL BE CHANGED TO "PASS" UPON RECEIPT
 AND REVIEW OF THE FOLLOWING LETTER. PLEASE PROVIDE A
 SEPARATE LETTER, EXPLAINING CONSIDERATION OF THE RAISED
 ACCESS AISLE OPTION AND THE CONCERNS ABOUT WHEEL STOPS
 AT THE ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES BEING A TRIP HAZARD,
 SO THAT THE LETTER CAN BE REVIEWED NOW FOR INCLUSION IN
 THE RECORD WHEN THE PLANS ARE SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT. THE
 LETTER WILL BE KEPT IN THE PERMIT RECORDS IN CASE ANY
 ADA COMPLAINTS ARE FILED AND PERMIT RECORDS REQUESTED.
 THERE IS NO NEED TO INCLUDE THE OTHER POINTS IN THE
 SUBMITTED COMMENT RESPONSE LETTER BECAUSE ADA SIGNAGE
 COULD HAVE BEEN MOUNTED ON THE BUILDING AT THE REQUIRED
 HEIGHT INSTEAD OF USING POLES, LOSS OF A PARKING SPACE
 IS NOT JUSTIFICATION FOR NOR MEETING ACCESSIBILITY
 REQUIREMENTS, AND COMPARISON OF THIS PARKING LOT TO "A
 LARGE SHOPPING CENTER", ESPECIALLY WITHOUT CITING A
 SPECIFIC LOCATION RECENTLY INSTALLED WEST PALM BEACH,
 IS NOT RELEVANT. "A LARGE SHOPPING CENTER" HAS MULTIPLE
 BUILDING ENTRANCES WITH MULTIPLE ACCESSIBLE ROUTES, SO
 THERE IS MORE FLEXIBILITY AND ROOM FOR INTERPRETATION
 IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING. THE CHASE
 BANK PROJECT HAS ONLY ONE ENTRANCE FACING THE PARKING
 LOT.
  
 3. SEPARATE PERMITS REQUIRED. ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS
 AND SUB-PERMITS MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE COMMENCING THE
 WORK. SEPARATE PERMITS, PLANS AND FEES, ARE REQUIRED
 FOR SIGNS, GAS SYSTEMS, GENERATORS, FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS,
 FIRE SPRINKLER AND OTHER FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS,
 GREASE INTERCEPTORS, SITE LIGHTING, SITE LANDSCAPE,
 SITE IRRIGATION, ETC.
