 MAY 31, 2017
 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. ONGOING. PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE
 INSTALLATION AND COMPLETION OF THE APPROVED AND
 PERMITTED LANDSCAPING FOR THE CO OF THE EXISTING
 BUILDING, AND HOW THE TIMING OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF
 THIS ADDITION WOULD BE COORDINATED.
  
 THE CURRENT BUILDING IS OPERATING UNDER A TCO. IF THE
 LANDSCAPING IS COMPLETED TO PERMIT PLAN, AND
 CERTIFICATION FROM THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT CAN BE
 ISSUED, A FINAL INSPECTION SHOULD BE SCHEDULED AND THE
 LANDSCAPE PERMIT CLOSED OUT.
  
 LANDSCAPE INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED ON 5/30/17, A PUNCH
 LIST OF ITEMS WAS EMAILED.
  
 2. SATISFIED. PLEASE SHOW THE BUFFER PLANTINGS ALONG
 THE WEST PROPERTY LINE AS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED, AND
 LABEL ALL LANDSCAPE BUFFERS.
  
 3. SATISFIED. PLEASE CORRECT THE FOUNDATION PLANTING
 CALCULATION TO REFLECT THE PERCENTAGE OF THE ENTIRE
 BUILDING FOR REQUIRED AND PROVIDED LINEAR FOOTAGE TO
 MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 94-443(E)(1).
 THE PROPOSED BUILDING MEETS THE REQUIREMENT, BUT THE
 EXISTING BUILDING SHOWS ONLY 60 LINEAR FEET PROVIDED,
 NOT THE 100 INDICATED ON THE PLAN, AND SHORT OF THE 75
 FEET REQUIRED.
  
 4. NOT SATISFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE A STATUS UPDATE ON
 CONDITION #2 OF THE CURRENT APPROVAL REGARDING STREET
 TREES ON DIXIE.
  
 PER THE PLANNING AND ZONING ADMINISTRATOR, PLEASE
 PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION FROM FDOT TO SHOW THIS CANNOT
 BE ACCOMPLISHED.
  
 COMMENT WAS NOT SATISFIED FROM THE LAST REVIEW. (ALSO
 SEE COMMENT #9)
  
 5. SATISFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE LOCATIONS OF LIGHTING ON
 THE LANDSCAPE PLAN TO AVOID CONFLICTS WITH LANDSCAPING.
  
 MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED IF REQUIRED TREES FOR PARKING
 ARE ADDED IN THE NORTH DROP OFF AREA PARKING.
  
 6. SATISFIED. PLEASE SHOW LOCATIONS OF ROOT BARRIERS TO
 PROTECT INFRASTRUCTURE AND TREES FROM CONFLICTS. THIS
 INCLUDES WATER, SEWER, DRAINAGE, SIDEWALKS AND CURBS,
 AND ANY FIELD STRUCTURES THAT COULD BE IMPACTED BY TREE
 ROOTS.
  
 7. NOT SATISFIED. PLEASE REMOVE THE REFERENCE TO THE
 OAK TREE IN THE RIGHT OF WAY AT THE SOUTH SIDE OF
 BISCAYNE DRIVE, AS IT HAS BEEN REMOVED.
 TREE IS STILL SHOWN ON SHEETS LP-1 AND LI-1. PLEASE
 REVISE.
  
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 4/3/17:
 8. SATISFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE THE REQUIRED TREE AND
 TERMINAL LANDSCAPE ISLAND ADJACENT TO EACH END OF THE
 ROW OF PARKING IN THE NORTH DROP OFF AREA.
  
 9. NOT SATISFIED. PLEASE INDICATE CURBED BULB OUTS
 ADJACENT TO THE PARKING SPACES PROPOSED IN THE FLAMINGO
 DRIVE RIGHT OF WAY AND PROVIDE LANDSCAPING AND STREET
 TREES.
  
 THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF BUFFER TREES CANNOT BE INSTALLED
 WHERE EFFECTIVE DUE TO THE NONCONFORMING SETBACK OF THE
 EXISTING BUILDING, THEREFORE THE LOGICAL WAY TO MEET
 THE INTENT OF THE CODE AND PROVIDE FOR SCREENING AND
 SUPPLY NECESSARY SHADE FOR THE SIDEWALKS AND PARKING
 SPACES IS TO PROVIDE TREES IN THE RIGHT OF WAY.
 RECENTLY AMENDED LANDSCAPE CODE REQUIRES THIS IN FUTURE
 PROJECTS, AND THE CITY IS REQUESTING THAT THIS PROJECT
 PROVIDE THE TREES WHERE POSSIBLE TO BENEFIT THE PUBLIC.
  
 10. SATISFIED. PLEASE INDICATE WHERE THE FPL
 TRANSFORMER IS PROPOSED IF IT IS NOT GOING TO REMAIN IN
 THE CURRENT LOCATION.
  
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 5/31/17:
 11. PLEASE PROVIDE A TREE DISPOSITION PLAN TO SHOW WHAT
 IS PROPOSED FOR THE EXISTING TREES ON SITE THAT WILL
 NEED TO BE RELOCATED OR REMOVED. TREES MAY BE RELOCATED
 TO ANY LOCATION WITHIN THE CITY. A SEPARATE PLAN WILL
 BE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED AND REVIEWED IF ADDING
 TREES TO EXISTING DEVELOPMENTS.
  
 12. PLEASE CORRECT THE LANDSCAPE REQUIREMENTS CHART TO
 SHOW THE NUMBER OF FLOWERING TREES PROVIDED TO MATCH
 THE PLANT LIST (SHOWS 9), LANDSCAPE PLAN (SHOWS 8) AND
 CURRENT CONDITIONS (7, LOCATION IN SOUTH PARKING LOT
 HAS A SILVER BUTTONWOOD EXISTING INSTEAD OF TABEBUIA).
  
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
  
  
 PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION MAY BE
 REQUESTED, AND STAFF MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AS
 THE REVIEW PROCESS CONTINUES.
